No, for immigrants from Africa it is way more than social benefits--oh no, it is all about conquest. 

I am sure Swedish Armed Forces are ready to face the guys who provided the preview for Europeans in Gaza. This is what Europe WILL become fairly soon, maybe sooner than we think. After reading the discussion in the other thread and learning that Taliban now is in half-an-hour drive from Kabul, and we are observing America's defeat in a real time, I might as well tell what is this all about. It has to be considered that the dude was a brigadier general in Afghan Royal Army (yes, that thing existed, alright) and his whatever military "education" wasn't necessarily that of a officer with broad enough view to assess ratios of losses of the Axis and the Red Army in combined arms operations which dwarf anything in world's military, not to speak of Afghan Royal Army, history.

The United States was content with the narrative that some Quran carrying, sandals wearing, Stinger shooting mujaheddin "defeated" the superpower. Of course, reality was vastly different but the United States didn't grasp then what Russians grasped from the git go and talked about it non-stop. Recall this 11 years ago:

How about learning this simple fact, that everything what was happening since 1979 was about stopping Islamization and from the get go the war had a distinct religious flavor. Try to explain this to some D.C. political general who would shit his pants when forced to speak in operational and strategic broadsides and call things their own name. It was the United States which set the precedent, even if the virtual one, in convincing the Islamic world, especially US Gulfie satrapies, that these medieval backward regimes could challenge real superpowers militarily and, in fact, have a political Islam as a viable instrument on the way to blowing up World Trade Center, to committing atrocity in Chechnya, culminating in a bestiality worthy of Nazi death camps in Beslan. All that with cheering and support from the combined West which couldn't see that bestowing some "victory" on Jihadists allegedly against the Soviet Union--a complete propaganda BS--the combined West was writing a scenario for own real humiliation. 

OK, it is a Saigon Moment, alright. Iraq is going not much better and in Russia it is a payback time, because Russians didn't run from Afghanistan, combined West is running. But the United States out of "exceptionalist" expediency was ready to listen to fairy tales of its mujaheddin clientele rather than to Russians whose experience with real wars is immense, Russians DID offer advice on Afghanistan and, in a dramatic contrast with American actions in 1980s, helped. All in vain. Now, the United States needs and is undergoing a military-political humiliation, which unlike Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan in 1989, does bear all hallmarks of fleeing a battlefield, leaving after itself one gigantic clusterfuck, which Russians (and Chinese) would need to clean up and put it under some sort of a control. And here is the morale of that all, that good ol' Noblese Oblige between superpowers I was talking about--you do not rush to diminish and insult other superpowers in such affairs, when at stake is not some loss of battle or a campaign, but the effort to stop a Jihadist Internationale from forming, not least based on the American-produced myth that some head-choppers can defeat a superpower. But then again, the United States just proved that they can. As I always say, Karma is a bitch, and as one of the greats once said--if you spit into history, it may respond with a cannons' salvo. It seems like it did... In the end, present West is not even worth saving.

Of Course, He Doesn't.

Donald Trump doesn't see sanctions on Turkey right now. OK, then.

"We're not looking at that right now," Trump told reporters. Speaking shortly afterward, he seemed to clarify: "We're looking at it. Very, very difficult situation for a lot of reasons." "We'll see what we do. We haven't announced that yet," he said. The United States said Wednesday that it was booting Turkey from its signature F-35 stealth fighter jet program after it defied warnings and began delivery of the S-400 missile defense system.

The issue here, of course, is extremely simple--sanction Turkey, and her drift away from NATO only accelerates, and there goes NATO as a viable military organization. Europeans will press on with their own European Armed Forces after that and, in general, it will be yet another Trump Administration's "win" for the United States. Isn't "winning" wonderful? Turks know what they are doing. As I stated before, and, let's be honest, that was very easy to predict, Russia already offered Turkey SU-35s as a "patch" deal until more serious military-industrial cooperation, involving some technology transfer will be hammered out between Turks and Russians. 

While Ahmed Aubodouth's (of The Independent) piece is full of butt-hurt delirium so characteristic of UK sewer, aka its Orwellian mass-media, let's be honest--even those morons understand that:

I deliberately, with my nose held, referenced this piece since even this guy gets it in terms of a nightmare. In other terms, however, he, as is expected, doesn't get it--Turkey is her own nation, with or without Putin's "evil" plans, and after Gulenist Coup in 2016 and, now obvious, inside job of shooting Russia's SU-24 down in 2015, or murdering of Russia's Ambassador  Karlov, it is clear that Erdogan knew who and how was behind those events. The rest of the piece is a standard "lefty" gibberish, including now tired bromides about European "values". But it is, indeed, a disaster for the US (as is the whole Trump's so called foreign policy, or lack thereof) and the issue here is not just political--it is, in the end, of the military-technological competition. What ALL Western media miss, of course, is the fact that Turkey is back into imperial game and is planning to lead Islamic world in the future. That is the main driver behind Erdogan's vision for Turkey and it goes without saying--one cannot deal with modern West which is becoming increasingly degenerate and not-agreement capable. One cannot also deal with defense of such vision as Turkish one by using American weaponry: a lot of it it is not that good, for starters, as F-35 demonstrated so vividly and, secondly, the United States can always, whenever she wants, shut off both equipment and logistical chains to entities which US dislikes. Turkey qualifies fully for such "treatment" because she increasingly asserts her own interests.

Russia is completely different in this respect. Russians are aware about what Turkey is up to and they have no problem with helping Turkey along her way to Asia greatness and even global relevance. And why not? Turks are striving and will continue to strive for this anyway and trying to arrest this development will merely increase the number of paroxysms and nobody in greater Eurasia really needs or wants that. Islam? Well, that is yet to be seen but one should not also forget that in Turkey Russia is staking a very valuable and voluminous market and hydrocarbons' hub. That, plus Bosporus and Dardanelles, aka Turkish Straits. Russia and her present Black Sea Fleet and what is shaping to be the new edition of 5th Operational Squadron (5 OPESK), not to mention Tartus in Syria, need those. Big, very big politics is involved. 

Would Trump sanction Turkey eventually? If he wants to accelerate solidifying Russia and China's positions within Eurasia, sure. But he has to be aware of the fact that this will increasingly shrink both American influence and, inevitably, her market for military toys. Russia, in this respect, knows really well what she is doing--Turkey will need many of those. Many of them already are and will be what neither NATO member, the United States included, can offer. Air Force Times may have their own doubts about SU-57 entering the picture after pretty much (I would assume, I could be wrong, of course--don't take it as a fact yet) settled deal with SU-35s for Turkey, otherwise Rostec's very own Chemezov wouldn't publicly offer them. 

In an official Rostec statement released Thursday, Chemezov was quoted as saying Russia is prepared to help Turkey procure advanced fighter jets. But the jets on offer are hardly an analogue of the stealthy F-35. Rather, Chemezov is offering up the Su-35, a heavily souped-up version of the Su-27."If our Turkish colleagues express a desire, we are ready to work out the deliveries of Su-35 fighter jets," Chemezov said.The Su-35 is a heavy multirole fighter jet and has recently become a popular export item. One of the jet’s standout features is extreme maneuverability. There are several videos online of Su-35s performing the demanding and impressive Pugachev’s Cobra maneuver.The jet had its combat debut in Syria in early 2016 to beef up escorts of Russian Su-24 and Su-34 fighter-bombers deployed in the conflict there. It was, ironically, part of Moscow’s message to Ankara after Turkish air defenses shot down a Russian Su-24 in November 2015.The Su-35 is not a stealth fighter, like Russia’s developmental Su-57. The Su-57 project is years behind schedule, and expectations have been downgraded several times in recent years. It has to be remembered that Erdogan openly spoke recently about not only SU-35s but SU-57s. Will Turkey get her hands on this combat aircraft? We all may discuss all combat virtues and faults of SU-57 whatever we want, but there is very little doubt that today it is the world's premier combat aircraft with unmatched capabilities, which make F-35 look like...ahem...turkey and Russia is putting this technology into series production with contract for the first 76 (three regiments) aircraft for Russian VKS signed just recently. So, Air Force Times needs to update itself. Now, one has to keep in mind Russia's military procurement truism: Russia never offers anything for sale abroad in terms of weapons unless new generation is already in IOC or nearing the conclusion of R&D phase. So, was Erdogan bluffing about S-500? Something tells me that there is a chance he didn't. Obviously not now, but down the road, why not?

Real power on the international arena exists ONLY when it rests on a foundation of a REAL military power. Real military power is a combination of factors among which the ability to produce most advanced and effective war machines is a defining feature. No machines--no power. Turks know this damn well. And as in any Asian culture the matter of prestige is of enormous importance. Ignorant filthy-moneyed Gulfie Arabs may have enough money to buy latest Rolls-Royce model or built (or rather pay for) pretty ugly post-modernist skyscrapers but it seems that Turks would rather drive Toyotas and manufacture cutting edge military technology with which they, later, will try to reclaim the glory of a Sublime Porte and for that they need to have more SU-57s and S-500 than Rolls-Royces or Lamborghinis. After all, there is always Aurus, as long as you have a desire to wait in line for couple of years. After all, this, allegedly omnipotent and omnipresent, dude rides in one.

These are, so called, five guiding principles of the EU policy towards Russia.  If there ever were any doubts about EU being run by imbeciles, after these remarks they should be completely dispelled. Things, and people, should be called their proper names. It is not enough for Europe to be reduced to the status of Turkish whore, now it wants to outdo itself in dealing with the last real ally this emasculated geographic appendix of Eurasian land mass can possibly have before being turned completely into "multicultural" cloaca. To be sure, Europe is heading this way, but, what is most important, it doesn't have any tools of dealing with this situation, among many other problems it faces. 

European "elites" today are nothing more than a collection of political and state bureaucrats who would sell their own nations (what's left of them anyway), honor (if they ever had one), principles (if they ever had any), possibly closest people for the sake of their careers in the totally dysfunctional leviathan super-state, which is good for nothing and more and more resembles a major train-wreck. Today, it is totally legitimate to talk about almost total post-WW II European mutation into the US lap-dog with a minimal, if any, foreign policy subjectivity. The proof is in the statement of Europe's two most spineless and cowardly creatures who, for absolutely unknown reason, are called heads of their respective states (or whatever remains of them), Francois Hollade and Angela Merkel, in regards to enforcing of the anti-Russia sanctions.

Well, as old saying goes: tell me who your friends are and I will tell you who you are. With "friends" like Poroshenko, I guess, the natures of Hollande and Merkel can not get any clearer than that. I pity French and German people (I deliberately do not use "the people of France and Germany") but, pity aside, let's see what those sanctions achieved. But before I get to this I want to state my long-held position that I am categorically against lifting the sanctions for two reasons:

1. Russia's problems in economy have 90%  domestic origins and are primarily the result of headless neo-liberal monetarist policies of Putin and Medvedev. But even these remaining 10%  which can be attributed to sanctions are good enough leverage against the monetarist cabal of Medvedev's government. This government must go, together with this whole panopticon of High School Of Economics' (VShE) freaks and ignoramuses, who pretend that they know something. But even Medvedev stated yesterday a strategic importance of Russian machining centers production and pledged government's support for it.  You see, even "liberals" are forced to play right under the circumstances.

2. Russian industry, that is real economy sector (with the notable exception of auto-industry), actually started to grow. In some areas it grew 3-4 times in 2015, such as in Voronezh Oblast  and all this is thanks to sanctions.  If not for the sanctions, Russia would still be buying German power plants for combat ships. Now, this dangerous dependence on the geopolitical midget on the US leash is over, with NPO Saturn being totally capable to develop  adequate power plant by 2018--the work is already in progress. There is also no necessity to maintain some Joint Venture with French Snecma, Russian planes, including latest SSJs and future MC-21 will do just fine with totally Russian state-of-the-art PD-14. The list of sanctions-induced strategic benefits is huge. These are just some examples.

While Obama and his colleagues in Europe discuss how sanctions "harmed" Russia, Russia seems to be, finally, doing many things right. Yes, finances are important, yes, the banking system is important but, as I stated already many times in this blog, what really matters is how many enclosed technological cycles nation possesses and is able to develop--that is what really makes all the difference between simply a nation and a great power. Saudis spend on defense $10 billions more than Russia, yet, Russia is a superpower while Saudis' main export, after oil, is terrorism. Russia, meanwhile, launches Mars missions. A joint mission with European Space Agaency, no less. 

And here comes this very strategic question. All things considered, especially a European "values" revolution--DOES RUSSIA NEED EUROPE? And the answer to that is both simple and complex. The Europe on the American leash, cowardly, spineless, "unified" into the super-state, with declining birth-rates, with large portions of its population turned into the mankurts, whose only care is keeping their welfare benefits and whose only value is full stomach, the Europe of emasculated metrosexuals and gay families--such Europe is not only not needed in Russia but, in fact, represents a clear and present danger. There could be no cultural, economic or spiritual common ground with such Europe, which, for all intents and purposes resembles itself less and less. What are the benefits in dealing with such a supranational structure?  Technology? Well, in some fields it is still important but Russia produces her own processors, Russian software engineers are one of the best in the world. Could Russian-produced Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining centers run on Baikal or Elbrus processors and Russian software? Some are already running.There are very many fields in which Russian expertise is more than adequate for both satisfaction of internal needs and for staying competitive internationally. 

Dealing on the level of state structures with current EU is akin to dealing with Kipling's Tabaqui without seeing face to face with Shere Khan. No serious discussion is possible with Europe, period. Discussing anything with slave is useless. All measures have to be taken to limit any economic cooperation with Europe to an absolute necessary minimum and any communications must be reduced only to healthy, which is largely conservative, forces within European nations. The rest? Russia must leave for good such circus as PACE because there is nothing to discuss in and with the asylum.  Europe brought itself to the knees completely on its own accord, including selling her sovereignty to the US and it is Europeans' business to take care of their "common home", which is on its way to becoming an outhouse.  Europeans want to liberate themselves? Let them deal with it. And while they are at it they might as well put Ukraine into their books--let them face and pay for the mess they helped to create there, as well as in Libya, Syria and other places. That sure will help their EU "strategies".

On Events In Germany (And in Europe). A Rant.

When German Olympic national team emerged from the ramp into the lights of Sochi Olympic Stadium during opening ceremony, all my family burst in Homeric laughter. You can watch Germans march starting from 43rd minute here:

It was a bitter-sweet laughter. Initially, we, jokingly, were asking the question:"Why, oh, why did they put on these ridiculous outfits?" But eventually the laughter subsided and it became painfully clear that once great nation was being paraded as a bearer of the multicolored, "diversified" to the point of idiocy, all-inclusive ideology of tolerasty. Rainbow colors of German uniforms screamed the statement of German self-hate and self-humiliation. Russians DO have the right to pass these judgements. In fact, no two nations in the world are tied together, in a bizarre historical twist, so profoundly by blood and a bad one at that. Yet, this strange and painful bond produced an unexpected result of post-WW II Ostpolitik, with FRG becoming Soviet Union's main trade partner in the capitalist camp, while DDR being the largest one within the Warsaw Pact (also known in economic terms as SEV). But the roots of Russo-German love (and hate) relations go deeper, much deeper, to the times of Catherine The Great (a German herself) to vast numbers of Germans who got russified and settled in Russia, while contributing immensely to Russian culture, science, industry. Russian-German bond is cultural and for vast swaths of Russians names of Bach, Schiller, Kant and, yes, of course, Hegel, among many, are as important as the names of Lomonosov, Tchaikovsky or Tolstoy. Vast armies of Soviet, and now Russian, football fans admired and rooted for Bundesmachine of Franz Beckenbauer then, and for Bayern Munich or Borussia Dortmund of then Borussia's coach Jurgen Klopp today. Despite horrendous history between both, there was always a significant degree of Russian admiration for this distinct Germanness, which, in the end, was a sublimation of Russia's European aspirations.

There is a deeper meaning in Russo-German relations--it is the only AXIS capable of preserving Europe's independence and culture. It is also the possible economic powerhouse capable of dominating many crucial markets of manufactured goods. And that is why this nation, whose grim Teutonic genius once defined the face of Europe, was reduced today to the sheeple ready to continue with suicidal promotion of "European values" which are nothing more than the tool of eradication of, first, true European, and then, in sequence, of national identities of culturally shrinking continent. For any normal Russian, seeing Germany being reduced to a multi-cultural, sexually-deviant emasculated cloaca, whose elites are treasonous to German people and to true Europe, which grew out of the cradle of Christianity, is painful. Today, once proud people of Germany are represented by THIS (Green Party POS):

Yes, they will blame the victim instead of facing to the catastrophe they caused on their Continent. They would rather dress themselves in hijab and submit than stand up and state the truth--THERE WILL BE NO "INTEGRATION", as it never was in the first place, of the Muslim "population" into what is viewed as merely a collection of kuffar. Islam and European secular culture, which still breeds on the soil of Christianity are INCOMPATIBLE on the most fundamental level. For Anglo-sphere, the book by Christopher Caldwell should have served as a warning in 2008. It, of course, hasn't. 
              

The war is on in Europe and the "West" is not ready. It was emasculated to the point of no return, which Elena Chudinova brilliantly summarized in her best-selling dystopian The Mosque Of Notre-Dame de Paris, accidentally, written decade before the much talked about Michel Houellebecq's novel Submission.  

                             

              
The tragedy of Germany and, as a consequence, of Europe is not in the lack of military power, it is in the lack of will, based upon clear understanding of the difference between right and wrong and of treason committed by its so called "elites", who still think that they will seat out what is unfolding on the Continent in their gated communities. They will not. Even they, those "elites", will be culturally "enriched" by means of robbery, rape and murder. As Eduard Limonov succinctly observed  couple of days ago:

And these will not be Germans who will be doing those pogroms, they are the ones who will be on the receiving end. Hell, they already are. Refresh your notes on multi-cultural "enrichment" before being raped, or murdered in the name of "European values". After all, what's not to "admire" in those "values":

I could have written a lot but I don't want to, at least not for now--I will, very soon. Let now lowlifes, like war criminal Amanpour, or bimbos from Fox, together with their army of incompetent "experts", dominate narrative--their time is running out anyway. My heart today is with people of France and I mean FRENCH people, yes, those white European FRENCH people, who speak French, who sing Marseillaise and it lifts their spirits. I talk about heirs of Charles Martel and Charles de Gaulle, people for whom those names mean a lot. I talk about people who still care about their culture and want to preserve it. People of France, PARIS--my heart is with you and I know we will have to fight. 

J'ACCUSE: traitorous so called "Western" (in reality anti-western) power "elites", French, American, German, what have you--people who are responsible for allowing, nay--inspiring, the rise of "multiculturalism", which led to a Europe becoming a gypsy tabor and jihad-infested cluster of mosques. You and you prostitute so called "academe" and media are responsible for what is happening today in Middle East and now in Paris. You, condemned and cowardly "social justice warriors",   will answer for the downfall of European (I don't want to use term "Western" anymore) civilization but it will be later. An Interesting Encounter

I had a very interesting encounter today with fairly famous Razib Khan who blogs on UNZ Review. The guy is from Bangladesh, I recon, and is in some Ph.D. program on genomics or genetics, or whatever he studies. He writes mostly on some biodiversity topics plus fancies himself to be a history buff of sorts. I have no interest in all this genetics mambo-jumbo but today was attracted by one of his post re: Islam. This is how the exchange went on this thread:

SX12: Depending on what the meaning of “new civilization” is, granted that Islam is a civilization as of now, I see no possibility of anything particularly new in a positive sense emerging based on Islam.

That is just fine with me. You, however, are no scholar of Islam and before writing anything on the topic, consider the fact that some people (like me, for example) have a very long history of dealing with Islam, including being born in the “oikumene”. I would suggest you get acquainted with Al-Ghazali and Umdat Al Salik and then look around at Islam’s “achievements” in the last half-millennium. But then again, people of Mahatir’s statue are, most likely, not on you list of worthy sources. And then comes this “small” thingy called military-political issues of Islam, of which, I can guarantee you 100% you have no clue about and, probably, never heard of Quranic Concept Of Warfare by Malik. That is why your statement about “new civilization” is, frankly, preposterous. But I doubt you are qualified to make serious geopolitical and military assessments of Islam without which ANY talk on ANY civilization is useless. Now contemplate if you want to approve this post.

My post, obviously, was erased, which, in the end, didn't prevent this genetics Ph.D. candidate to refer to it later--they, evidently, don't teach elementary ethics in genomics Ph.D. program. Why do I write about this incident with Razib Khan is very simple. The science of "history" (it is in quotation marks on purpose) requires many frameworks within which phenomenon could be judged. The history of Islam, however, requires today only one framework--the list of achievements, or rather lack thereof, in the last several hundred years to understand how did it arrive to state of being almost a complete wasteland economically, culturally, philosophically and academically. Only Sub-Saharan Africa beats Umma in backwardness and decay. Obviously Clausewitz' dictum on the judgement of the event by outcome applies fully here. Khan makes a very interesting and rather bordering on arrogance statement that "But to understand history I generally don’t put too much stock in the hand of God"(c). Well, considering my many years of schooling in Marxism, and me being an atheist (not a militant type--I do love and celebrate Christmas) I do. Go figure. From his verbose writing I do take away that he doesn't put too much stock in religion (faith) as a serious historic factor but this is precisely the factor which played a defining role in Islam's spread and led to its eventual decay, which we all observe today. After all al fikr kufr is as much an operational concept as it is ideological and religious one. I do not want to go in particulars of West's obvious culpability in the tragedies in Iraq, Libya and  Syria, among many other places, just yet, but I found Razib Khan's (who is, if I am not mistaken is very fresh from his teenage years) method of discussion rather peculiar.  

Obviously, Khan was called out on his statement on "new civilization" and later, in yet another, erased by him, my post, was asked to share his Islam "insights" on the account of Robert Reilly's seminal works The Closing Of Muslim Mind or on some issues pertaining the so called "doctrinal development" of Islamic warfare which will be absolutely critical in whatever "new" civilization Khan envisions. Obviously, for Ph.D. in genetics some operational, doctrinal or industrial problems facing this "new civilization" are a bit beyond the grasp and they don't teach Theory Of Operations or Net Centric Warfare, let alone LEAN production methods, which are the function of civilization, in his genomics classes but, despite all that, I would love to hear his elaborations on the account of "new civilization", which in the case of Islam is simply impossible since Islam did encounter what could only be described as civilizational dead end and the only way out of it is either to reform (and not in Wahhabi sense and that is effectively stopping being Islam) or see the world immersed in a true Clash Of Civilizations. So far, there are very few, if any, signs of Islam, especially Sunni Islam, reforming.  

So, for a relatively famous blogger, who, evidently lost or, most likely, never had any serious tactical, operational, military-academic, geopolitical and, of course, first hand Islam experience (and I am not talking about some neighborhood mosque in some town USA), writing such a statement about subject he learned from some purely scholastic exercises in futility against unfolding reality is a bit too much. But...despite this, including lying about me calling him stupid, I did call him coward, though, for him desperately avoiding substantive discussion:

I would love to hear Mr. Razib Khan's thoughts on this "new civilization". I also hope he will not go off as he did with Al-Ghazali and will acquaint himself with true scholarly works such as this, among very many, before coming here:

I doubt he will appear here (I am sure--the excuses will be numerous) but it was worth a try..........It also is a worthy topic to discuss against the background of both US and West European adventurism in the Middle East, as well as discuss the dynamics of Jihad which started well  before the time of SMART weapons and space flight. Meanwhile, if this will teach Razib Khan not to write on the issues he has no clue about and stick to his Biodiversity, Genomics or whatever field he can have more or less competent opinion in, then it is all for the better.
