NATO is preparing for a possible attack by Russia in the Baltic States with a new land war concept. There are detailed plans on how to stop rocket fire, stop Putin's troops at the border and weaken supply routes deep in Russia. Drones, autonomous combat zones and special forces operations play a key role in this.

Here is a gist of those strategies. 

According to the publication, the plan to counter Russia consists of three main strategies. It is noted that Major Andrew Pingree of the U.S. Army played a leading role in developing the concept. 

▪️ According to the first point, NATO intends to stop Russian missile strikes. To achieve this, NATO's fighter jets, missiles, and drones will need to destroy Russian missile complexes. One of the targets will be Kaliningrad, where a large number of air defense systems are located.

▪️ According to the second point, an "autonomous zone" is planned to be created along the borders with Russia and Belarus, which should serve as a protective barrier. Within this zone, only drones and unmanned military vehicles will operate against Russian forces. No NATO personnel are planned to be stationed there.

▪️ In the third phase, NATO intends to strike targets within Russia itself. To do this, special forces will need to destroy important military and logistical facilities. These include airfields, defense industry enterprises, bridges, and railways used by Russia to transport troops and equipment to the front.

The publication also notes that NATO intends to try to destabilize the situation directly within Russia.

It is not surprising for a man who hails from the country which doesn't have real army or real professional officer corps education. He has a degree in International Relations and obviously has no idea about what modern war is. Completing 42 weeks Higher Command and Staff Course from King's College does not make real serious operational (forget about strategic) planner, period. Simple as that--one MUST have a serious STEM with a strong focus on military technology background, period! And then, of course, comes the REAL history of modern operations ... If Richards wants to take a look at how graduates of those British military degree mills performed--he should study how they managed to kill 80,000 VSU (and NATO) cannon fodder on 159 square miles of Kursk "offensive". So, without all that what one has are wet dreams.  

Omega Issue For Those ...

 ... who still don't get it about this silly Tomahawk (TLAMs) issue. This is omega: 

The Greek letter, whose lower case in Operations Theory stands for mathematical expectation, aka weighted average, for anything. In our case here--it is a weighted average of TLAMs required to destroy--emphasis on "destroy", not to damage-- any kind of target if it strikes it.

Consider this problem (in generalities), this is TAIF-NK refinery in Tatarstan (just a segment, not a full facility).

Here is TANECO refinery and storage, also just a part of it. 

So, here is TANECO, one of many Russia's refineries on the map.

Diagonally, as you can see yourself it is almost 6.5 miles. Now let's find some American general with degree in political science and ROTC commission, or even some graduate of the West Point and ask him a question--how many TLAMs would be required to put just a single refinery of TANECO size out of business for, say, a year--yes, what is this Omega, a math expectation. I'll give you a hint--they don't know, they never planned nor operated with anything that can shoot back. The same goes for USAF--there is not a single American pilot who has any idea how to handle real AD. 

But I can tell you what this Omega MIGHT be without AD, and I am talking about taking TANECO out, not some PR pin-pricks by 404 with drones hitting one of the towers or pipelines which are easily repaired within days, sometimes hours. No, I am talking about strategic impact. Well, even without AD, with TLAMs ALL of them being leakers it will require at least 100 (one hundred). Well, the problem for Pentagon which is utterly incompetent in issues of air defense, when operating within the environment such as Russian Air Defense, in order for them to provide 100 leakers, they will need something on the order of couple of thousands of TLAMs, which the US simply doesn't have and is incapable to produce within reasonable amount of time--say couple of months. So, do you get my drift? Correct, the only hope for the US in supplying a couple of Typhoons with TLAMs to 404 is to score some PR pin-pricks at civilian targets. 

Now, back to SMO. If you consider the fact that Russia since the very start of SMO in 2022 was using (very roughly) daily on average between 15 to 20 high precision stand off weapons (not Geraniums, I stress it) such as: 3M14 Kalibr, 3M22 Zircon, Kinzhal, P-800 Oniks, Iskander et all, then we can calculate the sum for 1,320 days of SMO. I go with higher margin because Iskanders alone are the bulk of this number. So, 1,320 x 20 = 26,400 High Precision stand-off weapons Russia used so far on targets in 404. Realistically, this number is even higher and when one adds here drones such as Geraniums the number runs into hundreds of thousands. This is BEYOND the US industrial capability by two orders of magnitude and that gives you a bit of a perspective on the scale of things and why Russians are really nonchalant about this TLAM business. Did Mr. Trump check his omega lately? You know the answer. Some in Pentagon do too--but they are a minority.

But you cannot explain this to all kinds of Western "analysts" and "scholars" who failed miserably in studying the real world and especially Russia. You cannot fix it now. Too little, too late. But there is another aspect of all that--yet again Russia produced a titan and combined West hates him the same way it hated Stalin, because of the scale of a man, and you can bet your ass on that--they are now desperately trying to find another Solzhenitsyn.

RFA Argus is unable to leave the Portsmouth Naval Base because maritime authorities have said the ship is unfit to sail. The inability of Argus, currently designated as the naval service’s sole amphibious warfare vessel, to put to sea means the Navy has no ships capable of delivering the Royal Marines en masse into war zones.

This is hapless Argus. 

But apart from a decline of the UK as a whole, with Royal Navy being one of the symptoms, one still has to ask the question of the utility of such vessel for a country which struggles with deploying a single combat ready brigade. In comparison:

For those who still don't understand the scale--a division is the first formation, after brigade, which is OPERATIONAL-tactical formation, meaning it can conduct independent operations because of TOE. Five marines' divisions is essentially a marines army. But then again, Russia is not UK or any other European country, Russia dwarfs any of them in terms of economy and ability to maintain a massive force across all domains, from space down to underwater.

Russia has expanded its industrial production, opened new manufacturing facilities, and converted commercial production lines for military purposes. As a result, the Russian defense industrial base is expected to roll out 1,500 tanks, 3,000 armored vehicles, and 200 Iskander ballistic and cruise missiles this year. (Comparatively, the United States only produces about 135 tanks per year and no longer produces new Bradley Fighting Vehicles.) Additionally, we anticipate Russia to produce 250,000 artillery shells per month, which puts it on track to build a stockpile three times greater than the United States and Europe combined. Not all of Russia’s military capability has been degraded by the war.

I have news for those who read this. There was never any doubt that Russia outproduces a whole NATO combined, but Russia didn't lose "400 air defense systems" or "13, 000" artillery pieces. Combat math simply doesn't support these fictitious numbers. Russia surely did lose some AD systems and a number of artillery pieces, but those numbers are nowhere near this fantasy. Well, at least he admitted the other part. Numbers of tanks and armored vehicles are also extremely exaggerated. Especially when considering COFM.

Yes, and I don't see what's the problem. Russia can "erase" not only Germany, but the whole of Europe and the US. As much as I abhor this hysterical specimen Solovyov (he IS NOT Putin's ally and, in fact, the opposite--but that's Newsweek, only cretins work there to know anything) factually he is absolutely correct. I also agree with him that Germany is Russia's existential enemy and will remain so no matter what. AfD is irrelevant here, because majority of Germany voted for the same shit again. Only former GDR voted for AfD. It is too late to save Germany anyway. So, what's the big deal, Newsweek, a slow news day?
