You See This?

That's how REAL BRICS looks like. Iran has a huge say now, so is it BRIICS now? You can bet your ass on that--courage, steadfastness, ability to deliver--this is what really matters. Pezeshkian may not be the fan of IIRG but it is they who opened the door for Iran into the Premier League.

This is an exquisite club. Except ... I looked at the menu--it is a lent month in India at it is all vegetarian. Nope, should have been Moscow, Beijing or ... Tehran--meat is always served there. Boy, Iranian Abgoosht is to die for.

A Very Symptomatic Exchange.

Both have no comprehension of what "troops' protection" in modern war is, because both do not understand what modern air defense is.

Waltz, a devout neocon is a graduate of Virginia Military Institute and had a military career which was largely in special forces--hardly an environment where serious operational and strategic thinking is developed. Liu, however, has a STEM education--but obviously it is all about party politics and of very little if any substance, because the US military has NO force protection capability against serious enemy. It simply has no TOE and expertise.

Hence, the accusation of Russia for providing Iran with intel and targeting, which, among other things, allowed Iran to hit some very sensitive CIA facility. Don't ask me--I merely state all the time that two can play the game. And Lavrov's statement yesterday about the US targeting Russia and Russia's civilians is not accidental before meeting (very briefly--35 minutes) Marko Rubio. Keep in mind, American situation with Iran is, for the lack of better word, dire. And even speculators do not buy this Trump's BS about oil anymore. I speak about it and more in my today's video.

Sure, Let The Acrimony Begin.

And yes, we all here are morons who cannot see obvious things/s.

Who really dragged whom into the war with Iran? Did Netanyahu persuade Trump to attack Iran? "That narrative rests on a mistaken assumption." Did the Mossad assess that the regime could be toppled? In fact, it was the US war secretary who believed that more than anyone. Diplomatic and security sources tell Israel Hayom, in an exclusive investigation, what really happened in these decisive meetings.

Well, it really takes some ass-kicking to expose a degree to which the US is filled with so called "Christian" Zionists and military amateurs whose loyalty is to Israel, not to the US. And no, Zionists:

Moreover, reports published, among others, in The New York Times and The Washington Post, claiming that Netanyahu had "dragged" Trump and the US into war, partly by arguing that the regime could be brought down, are plainly wrong. The conversations I held indicate that at least some senior Trump administration officials, and Trump himself, were the ones who assessed that the regime could be toppled, while the Israeli team presented a far more cautious assessment on this issue.

As much as every slimebag (that is the majority of them) in NYT and WaPo elicits a vomiting reflex, they are, surprisingly, not wrong. It was Israel and its bootlickers, POTUS and most of his cabinet, who have been convinced through the blackmail (Epstein Files et al) and other means of manipulation, such as selling utter bullshit of Christian Zionism to feeble-minded cretins like Hegseth, that it will be easy. Well, since then, Israel and the US have been paraded as military paper tigers (didn't I warn about it?) and other than nuclear option, neither has anything remaining with what to fight a real war.

I also have news for these Israeli spin doctors--Trump cannot "assess" anything, he doesn't have a tool kit, neither does Mossad, IDF or Pentagon. So, let the acrimony begin, but it has to be understood that Israel and its government in the US fucked it up so royally, that the tectonic shift has manifested itself. But in the end--the failure is systemic and it is vertical, from metaphysical, to cultural, to social, to military, to technological et al. One can BS only so much before reality kicks the door and it flies off the hinges. Let Israel and Israel 2.0 (they are joined at the hip) start the blame game. There is no difference--both are culpable, both debased themselves. US likely will survive in some form, Israel, likely, will not.

Simon Watkins Is ...

... a hot air balloon trying to cope with his little cozy universe born out of ignorance coming crushing down on him. He is an academic fraud with degree in journalism and English literature from Oxford. That means he has no serious education or background other than in speculation with virtual assets. He is also British, and that exacerbates the whole situation for the guy who is not really a professional. So, he pulls BS out of his ass.

Iran has a long history of being screwed over by Russia, and last week’s meeting in Moscow between Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Russian President Vladimir Putin over the U.S.–Israel–Iran war suggests nothing in that dynamic is about to change, according to extremely well-placed sources on both sides who spoke exclusively to OilPrice.com over the weekend. On the one hand, Tehran’s perennially baseless optimism that “this time will be different” was on full display in Araghchi’s excited praise for the marvels of the two countries’ so called ‘strategic relationship’. On the other hand, Moscow responded with all the warmth of an international telephone operator: Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said only that Russia stands ready to offer “goodwill or mediation services”, with no indication of any upgrade to the relationship service package. It fits so neatly into the familiar pattern of this abusive relationship that one wonders whether social services should be called. Or perhaps Moscow’s disinterest is merely an act — a way of masking the deep and broad assistance from Tehran that it so clearly craves?

First, let's clear something upfront--Oilprice has NO "well-placed sources" in Moscow. None, zilch. This derives from the fact that unlike tabloid-ridden shithole of London drowned in scandals, Moscow takes its contacts at the highest political level extremely seriously and keeps them out of reach of media (and MI6, not to speak about some losers from Oilprice) leaving Peskov to deliver classic diplomatic platitudes for general public--frustrating for tabloid-"educated" frauds like Watkins. So, Watkins, who has no idea about how strategic relations are built and, especially, how assistance is provided, simply makes shit up. He simply has no tool kit to grasp what ISR is and why the US has been humiliated.

In related news, even Watkins' resource, which deals in virtual non-physical BS shows today:

Which means physical oil selling for $140 and up. But come to think about it, they do have their "sources" in Moscow--a collection of cherub graduates of VShE who sit as clerks in all kinds of offices and collect all kinds of BS rumors about Kremlin. But in the end, Watkins' sanctimonious mind cannot take the fact that Russia is awash in cash, while Anglo-world as a whole is paraded as impotent. Boy, that's gotta hurt.

It Doesn't Matter.

The thing which many people still don't get--Russia negotiates for the sake of negotiations. I don't know how many times I have to explain this:

Ukrainian officials are expressing frustration as U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner repeatedly visit Moscow but delay a promised trip to Kyiv. The hesitation reflects both stalled Ukraine-Russia-U.S. peace talks and Washington’s focus on the Iran conflict, raising concerns in Kyiv that U.S. diplomacy is no longer balanced. Polls cited in local analysis show most Ukrainians doubt U.S.-led negotiations will succeed, with only a minority viewing the U.S. as a reliable partner.

It was repeated by Russian side, including two days ago in Putin's call to Trump that ALL aims of SMO will be achieved. There will be NO "settlement", there will be capitulation either willingly or through full physical annihilation of 404 as a country.

Meanwhile, POTUS--tell me this is AI?

Per possible resumption of attacks on Iran. My take, after I recovered from Homeric laughter form Larry's description of the matter:

Donald Trump must have stayed at a Holiday Inn last night because when he departed the White House on Friday to head to Florida to give a speech at The Villages, geriatric community known for Sexually Transmitted Diseases, he thought he was a lawyer. Friday, May 1st, marked the day that he is required by the War Powers Act to seek Congressional approval to continue the war in Iran. But Trump, thinking like an ambulance-chasing attorney, announced that the war with Iran is over.

Is that you cannot put anything, including the most stupid and senseless thing, past this POTUS. Including, of course, a resumption of attacks and even "ground operations" with the force so inadequate for achieving any sensible results that it WILL result in heavy casualties for the US military. Well, what can I say--pop-corn time.

Here Is Colonel-General ...

... Andrei Kartapolov. Unlike NATO (US) generals he won serious campaigns and look at his CV. Joe Kent, that's for you.  So, being the chair of the Duma's Defense Committee he made this statement yesterday (in Russian), the gist is below video.

Kartapolov's main point: we can now assume that Iran deliberately manipulated Israel and US' intelligence circuits into the belief that once the political top of Iran was removed the "uprising" will follow. The aim? To lure both into Iran and settle the issue once and for all.

It was and is my point for decades now that the US can not "do" strategy, be that military or grand (that is of national level) one, it simply has no capability because of the negative selection of military-political-intel "elites", aka "morons with Ph.Ds". Now that we observe USAF planes falling down from the skies (you know, slightly damaged due to "incidents") and that increasingly looks like an Air Defense trap by Iran, it is not only reasonable but warranted to remind you a wonderful quote from Dune's conclusion:
Plans within plans, within plans ... And do not forget--Forms Must Be Obeyed.

I Have News ...

 ... for Joe Kent.

Prayers are not going to help. De-AIPACization and 25th Amendment may. But don't count on it. Moreover, the guy still thinks that it was the US which ... defeated ISIS. Sure ... delusion and delirium are becoming America's main diagnosis.

Down The Memory Lane ...

 ... again.

This time it is the land which is five times larger in territory than Vietnam, it has almost three times population of what Vietnam had at that time, even when one considers almost 3 million Vietnamese civilians dead. And as Vietnamese, Iranians are an ancient civilization, in fact much more ancient, and they have geographic anchor to fight back as long as necessary, and they can and do hit US operational rear, big time. I want to repeat again--the US military never fought in defense of the US proper, in defense of their families, property, culture. Iranian have this experience, US does not and that makes all the difference in the world. Iran will never forgive the murder of 171 innocent children. They are martyrs now.

Aw, How Touching.

Time to post sentimental Hitler here.

Even he does sarcasm from his cauldron in hell, when reading FOX NEWS slop.
And look who has wrote this a rather impressive pile of bovine excrement.
As you can see yourself, she is a classic case of being dumb as a stump despite her "impressive credentials", and if you take a look at this "fellow's" educational background you will understand why US "strategists" are a pathetic bunch abusing sinecures in all kinds of pseudo-academic think-tanks.
She wouldn't understand a first thing about REAL strategy, warfare, governance and technology as wouldn't most of people from Aspen Group, RAND, ISW and other grant-consuming fraudulent establishments in the vast sea of the American think-tankdom machine of intellectual corruption and propaganda. But her butthurt and sore-loserism is shining through.

Meanwhile:
Is this TACO? Yep, a desperate attempt to save own political life while already being a political corpse. He should have called Israel, his masters. But, ah yes, recall those sweet days of hope))

How's that promise going, JD?

Larry's Excellent Writeup ...

... on Gulfies and India. Especially India.

Russia, instead of leaving India to sleep in the bed it made with Israel, highlighted its readiness to support India, but at a cost. For instance, earlier in March (around March 4), sources indicated Russia was prepared to divert oil cargoes (e.g., ~9.5 million barrels near Indian waters) and potentially raise India’s share of Russian crude imports to up to 40%. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak mentioned receiving “signals of renewed interest” from India in larger volumes due to the crisis. Amid the surge in demand for Russia’s Urals crude, Russia hit India with a firm, but diplomatic, reminder of the cost of betraying a friend. Prior to the attack on Iran, Russia sold oil to India with deep discounts ($10-13 below Brent pre-conflict). While promising to help India compensate for its loss of Persian Gulf oil, Russia inoformed Modi that India would have to pay a premium of $4-5 over Brent for March/April deliveries. This reflects market forces rather than explicit “assurances” of continued discounts; some reports frame it as Russia treating it more as “business” without prior friendship-based concessions.

A reminder (again):

Russia can remain magnanimous ... for additional price, of course, and India is about to learn it the hard way.

He Also Promised $2,000 ...

... to all working families in the US. He also forgot about it.

Trump can't remember whether he 'obliterated' Iran's nukes. President Donald Trump has been warning Iran for weeks that an American "armada" of warships was on the way, trying to leverage the threat of military strikes into a deal for Iran to abandon its quest for nuclear weapons. Trump casts the prospect of a nuclear-armed Iran as a threat to the Middle East. He's probably right about that. But Trump also insists that his last military strikes on Iran, eight months ago, "obliterated" the country's nuclear program. And his White House team denounced as "fake news" reports that the June strikes on three sites only set back Iran's nuclear program "by a few months." Just this past week, Trump twice spoke of Iran's nuclear program as a thing of the past, while also threatening new military strikes to destroy what he claims to have already destroyed. Which Trump are we supposed to believe here? And – yes – I think not believing either version is an option. The president used his Feb. 19 introductory speech at the first meeting of his ironically named new "Board of Peace" to brag about America's "magnificent" B-2 bombers, which were used in the June 21 strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities. "It went into Iran and it totally decimated the nuclear potential," Trump said of the bombers. "When it decimated that, all of a sudden, we had peace in the Middle East."

Correct, as much as I abhor US MSM, the claim here is correct--DJT boasted about "obliterating" Iran's "nuclear program". So, what is it then? Well, it doesn't matter--Donnie is Israel's puppet and will do as his donors tell him. He probably is in the last stages of convulsions akin to a caught fish fresh out of the water before being gutted and thrown into the fish soup, but he has no choice in the matter.

So, the die is cast, it seems and the algorithm of the whole clusterfuck there is the same--EW, hurling every stand-off weapon at US disposal in the area at Iran and, traditionally, activating US useful idiots in the area (such as Kurds and fifth column) in an effort to topple "regime". BTDT, many times. Now, back to actual events, June, 2025. Vladimir Putin verbatim.

"You know, we once offered our Iranian friends to work in the field of air defense systems. The partners did not show much interest then, and that's all. As for the agreement you mentioned, on the strategic partnership [between the Russian Federation and Iran], there are no articles related to the defense sector. This is the second point. And thirdly, our Iranian friends are not asking for this. Because there is practically nothing to discuss," Putin said.

Correct, Tehran liberal "elite" is a mirror image of any pro-Western factions anywhere, in terms of their foreign interests and "belief" that one can "negotiate". It is a long story, but Russia and China have been delivering things to Iran, ranging from combat aircraft to radar, but the only thing which is left for all of us is to wait and see. Per this:

If this is 40-50% of all US air power, I have bad news for fanboys--not enough for any REAL action other than, indeed, hurling everything at whatever the reconned Iranian AD is and hoping for effect. US never conducted real SEAD other than bombing the crap out of mighty Iraqi AD. In Vietnam, that didn't work out that well. To put it mildly. Hoping, of course, against all hope, that DJT will find at least a rudimentary backbone, but with Epstein Files dominating alternative media agenda and his Israeli masters having him cornered--he will perform TACO and will strike Iran. In related news, I heard Mexico offers great discounts for her resorts. Hm ...

Some Facts About ...

... Russian AD complexes which should be considered--from the Armaments' Expo in Belarus:

Если уж речь зашла о специальной военной операции, то вот еще одна интересная подробность: С-400 – пока единственная в мире зенитная ракетная система, имеющая в своем активе сбитые (в реальном бою, а не на испытаниях) ракеты-перехватчики западных ЗРК/ЗРС, идущих на близких к гиперзвуковым скоростям – причем, в первую очередь, речь идет о широко распиаренных американских комплексах Patriot PAC-3. Причем таких боевых эпизодов насчитывается уже более десяти.

Translation: If we are talking about a special military operation, here is another interesting detail: the S-400 is the only anti-aircraft missile system in the world that has shot down (in real combat, not during tests) interceptor missiles of Western SAM/SAM systems flying at speeds close to hypersonic - and, first of all, we are talking about the widely hyped American Patriot PAC-3 systems. Moreover, there are already more than ten such combat episodes.

If anybody wonders, SAMs are the fastest missiles in NATO's arsenal capable of speeds approaching hypersonic ones (just under M=5) for a short time of intercept. S-400 now shoots down in combat US air defense missiles.

Meanwhile, Israel is slowly turning into 404.

But then again, it does begin to look increasingly like 404, especially after having its elite intel/recon units wiped out. Next thing--TTzK. Meanwhile, Kiev and the rest of 404 today.

Totally Agree With Larry ...

... and his conclusion about those 4 + hours of Putin with Witkoff.

As I write this, the clock is tolling 2300 hours eastern. By this time tomorrow night, we will have some indication of whether or not a war with Iran is on the horizon. Trump’s inside man, Steve Witkoff, stopped off in St. Petersburg, Russia today to have a chat with Vladimir Putin. That conversation reportedly lasted over four hours. I take that as a good sign. What did they discuss? The White House insists the discussion was about Ukraine and how to move forward with a deal to end that war. I am pretty sure that took up some of the time, but I also believe that Iran was discussed… in detail.

Very highly incredibly likely--Iran was a central point of this discussion. Apart from obvious and here is Lavrov verbatim, today:

Translation: Lavrov said at the Antalya Diplomatic Forum that US President Donald Trump understands the need to eliminate the root causes of the conflict in Ukraine to resolve it, TASS reports. He stressed that eliminating the root causes is the only way to solve the problem and establish lasting peace. According to him, Trump was the first Western leader who repeatedly and convincingly noted that Ukraine's accession to NATO would be a huge mistake. Lavrov also noted that Russia and the US have the potential to improve relations. "There is always potential," he said, answering a question about the possibility of more active actions to improve relations between Moscow and Washington.

So, the delicate dance continues. And Chinese have a field day with the whole thing:

Yep, that Baltic statelets for you, alright. Pretty astute description of the situation from Chinese. In related news, I am still in awe from allocation of R 8.4 trillion for Russian Navy. You all know that Russians do not sell to Ministry of Defense toilet seats for $600 or nails for $37 per one nail--you can end up in prison really fast for this type of business. Russian admirals are salivating now)) And do not forget the date today:

Yep, The Day of Cosmonautics in Russia. And Russians have plans which are in practical stage already for the nearest future:

As you know, Russians love themselves space stations.

Sic Transit Gloria Mundi. Some News.

I mean this, current, mundi, whatever comes after it is another matter. But here are some news of import.
Russia and Iran will transfer payments using an alternative system to the internationally recognized SWIFT money transfer network, the governor of the Iranian central bank, Abdolnaser Hemmati, announced. Instead of SWIFT, a system that facilitates cross-border payments between 11,000 financial institutions in more than 200 countries worldwide, the two countries will use their own domestically developed financial messaging systems – Iran’s SEPAM and Russia’s SPFS.“Using this system for trade and business exchanges between EAEU [Eurasian Economic Union] member states can help develop and expand trade exchanges between the member states as well,” Abdolnaser Hemmati said, as cited by Mehr News Agency on Tuesday. Tehran is set to officially join the Russia-led free-trade zone, the EAEU, next month. The document on Iran’s participation was ratified in June by the nation’s parliament (Majlis) and President Hassan Rouhani has already ordered that the free trade zone agreement be implemented.
And this development was unexpected exactly to who? Of course this is just another step in actualization of Eurasian economic space. And then, of course, this:
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that his government would work to strengthen military cooperation with Turkey and that talks to develop new weapons with Ankara were already underway.
Go figure what that means--possibly SU-35 components among many other things. Samuel Huntington is spinning in his grave now. Especially when one gets such news as this:
Mind you, Russia DIDN'T want to be an arbiter in this whole mess stretching from Afghanistan to ME. Not at all. Recall this, read attentively:
A “successful end” to the operation in Afghanistan will not come simply with the death of Osama bin Laden. The minimum that we require from NATO is consolidating a stable political regime in the country and preventing Talibanization of the entire region. That is the Russian position. We are ready to help NATO implement its U.N. Security Council mandate in Afghanistan. We are utterly dissatisfied with the mood of capitulation at NATO headquarters, be it under the cover of “humanistic pacifism” or pragmatism.
This was 9 years ago. What did Obama Administration do? They unleashed Cold War 2.0 with Russia, who did all she could, short of direct massive military intervention, to help the United States to settle Afghanistan. All in vain. And here we are in 2019 with the whole Eurasian subcontinent aflame and with the US losing its actual and perceived control over the situation with mind-boggling acceleration. Right now, this very minute, Russia, China, India, Pakistan, Kazakhstan and others hold massive maneuvers Center-2019. The legend of this exercises is clearly influenced by the situation in Afghanistan and by the possibility of Russia and her allies doing what she, then as USSR, was prevented from doing.
This troubles Russia far less than the consequences for the region itself. The Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan in 1989 was not a shameful escape accompanied by the hooting of the mujahadeen. The Soviet Army entered the country, accomplished its tasks — unlike the Americans in Vietnam — and returned to its motherland. In fact, we were the first to defend Western civilization against the attacks of Muslim fanatics. No one thanked us. On the contrary, everyone was impeding our actions: The United States, NATO, Iran, Pakistan, even China. After the withdrawal of the Soviet Army, the Najibullah government that we left behind in Kabul remained in power for another three years.
What a historic irony in Russia being thrust back into this position and not by own volition--it is the region itself which called on Russia to interfere. Even Saudi Prince called Kremlin today to discuss this whole "attack" business (in Russian). Russia is not going to invade Afghanistan, but the big game of containing jihad threat is on. I guess this explains why Russia simply cannot exist as a neutral, self-absorbed, power (that would be so great)--she will always be forced to be in the shape of military-economic superpower precisely for the reasons of others not doing their due diligence when unleashing forces they can not tame or control. No matter what she does, she will end up being asked to do one thing or another. That's destiny and nothing could be done about it. And thus passes the glory of the world we live (or, rather lived) in. Pax Americana is over.

Helsinki, The 16th.

Ok, since everyone writes about Putin-Trump summit, I might as well put my 5 cents into it. I do not want to do "analysis", nor "synthesis" on this media frenzy which surrounds this upcoming event in Helsinki on 16th, but here are some points which are worth considering:

1. Trump and bluster are two sides of the same coin. It works on such people as European patsies. Putin is not the guy who will be impressed by that in any way. And NO—Trump IS NOT going to pull out of NATO.

2. The US which IS NATO, needs NATO to control Europe for a number of primarily economic reasons since, as I stated not for once, Europe is the only remaining global market with real strong purchasing power. This power is viewed by collective "Trump" as a key to restoration of the American economic might by means of coercing Europe to:

a) Buy US LNG (yes, Poland and other newbies);
b) Buy American-made weapons (You know, this 4% of GDP for "defense" against aggressive Russkies)
c) Buy American manufactured goods, from commercial aircraft to cars, to electronics.

3. Trump is under serious pressure from US Israeli lobby and the pivotal issue of the upcoming summit will be Israel and its relation to the war in Syria. In fact, no less important than upcoming Trump-Putin summit was Bibi's, yet another, visit to Moscow and the statement which is a tacit admission of R+6 victory in Syria. So, it is Iran in the end, and Russia is trying to arrange some kind of "acceptable" to all parties presence of Iran in Syria. The issue is immensely complex but it is Moscow, not Washington, who has a shot on resolving it.  That is the position obtained by the skillful application of military power.

4. There will be NO grand "Deal" between Russia and the US—Russians do not count the US as a reliable partner or, in other words, treaty-worthy party. Trump may have whatever good intentions but American establishment is inherently, on a cultural DNA level, not only anti-Russian but Russophobic in the extreme. Trumps come and go, Washington's political machine continues to reproduce "elites" which are… well, many here know my writing and what it is about.

5. There will be NO lifting of the sanctions on Russia, nor are Russians really that interested in this. Russians know that US will stop at nothing, short of the all-out war, in trying to salvage itself.

6. There will be some negotiations on START issues but again—somebody should have briefed DJT on the fact that Russia holds a decisive strategic and technological advantage in weaponry and will not necessarily agree on limiting any of her new weapons such as RS-28 Sarmat or Avangard—Gorbachev and Yeltsin times in Russia are long over.

7. Ukraine? It will dissolve eventually one way or another and at this stage Russia is really not that interested in paying for maintenance of hostile, third-world shithole. Europe and the United States must pay for dissolution of this dysfunctional state they created. How? It is a separate issue.

So, what's then so important about this summit? I think, if after this summit both sides will finally agree on these three points below, we may say that it is successful and I will be cheering on it and will extent the credit to DJT as to true American statesman:

I. There must not be any war between Russia and the United States under any circumstances;
II. Both sides are not enemies but competitors;
III. Russia is a superpower with her legitimate primarily regional and some global interests, the same must be recognized towards the United States. In general, limits must be negotiated.

This is it, I guess… Oh, wait, China! About this later, and no, Russia is not going to "sell" China out, but there are real issues there which must be addressed.
