This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commenting on the statement of the French president. The diplomat drew attention to Macron's words that "the EU and its partners will continue to increase pressure on Russia and will not succumb to fatigue and intimidation."

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov told TASS that there will be no Europeans at the talks on the Ukrainian settlement in Geneva. Negotiations will be held in a trilateral format, between representatives of Russia, the United States, and Ukraine. The next round of negotiations on Ukraine will be held in Geneva on February 17-18, the Russian delegation will be headed by presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky.

They are set to take effect on February 1 at 10% and rise to 25% in June, remaining in place until a “complete and total purchase” of the Danish autonomous territory is achieved. “France is committed to the sovereignty and independence of nations, in Europe and elsewhere,” Macron wrote on X. “No intimidation or threat will influence us – neither in Ukraine, nor in Greenland, nor anywhere else in the world.” 

Putting aside Trump's intentions (and there is a lot to be said about those, read Larry's latest on Trump) and main engine behind his policy formulations, Stephen Miller, one thing remains absolutely clear. Europe is impotent and for anyone who thinks that France or anyone else in Europe will not be influenced by intimidation--I have a bridge to sell you. Cash only. Hearing this protestations from cowardly European vassals whose modus of existence was very simple in the last 60 years--milk the US for the "defense" from the ephemeral Soviet military threat, while milking USSR for energy, the main foundation of the vaunted European prosperity and "socialism" is rich--the time is up.

I only can empathize with Maria who needs to constantly deal with Euro cowards and low lives who, as in this case, French elect. The case reportedly involves multiple offenses, including fraud, illegal business dealings and money laundering. Shortly after the raid on the Sputnik office, Russia’s Foreign Ministry summoned Azerbaijani Ambassador Rakhman Mustafaev, citing “Baku’s hostile actions and the unlawful detention of Russian journalists.” 

Well, wrong move. Russia is completely independent in every single respect from Azerbaijan, while the same cannot be stated for official Baku. Especially, when suddenly some "rumors" (wink, wink) begin to circulate that some drones, both against Iran and Russia, could have been launched from the territory of Azerbaijan. So, we know how it will go if things do not change in official Baku attitude. If Baku thinks that its close relations with Turkey are somehow any kind of assurances--wrong assessment. And pissing off Iran, boy ... well Azerbaijani political top can call on whatever they want, but the weight categories are so incomparable that I would rather get myself a bucket of pop-corn.

It is the first phone contact between the leaders since September 2022. The conversation revolved around the situation in the Middle East, as well as the Ukraine conflict. During the call, Putin told Macron that the Ukraine conflict was “a direct consequence of the policies pursued by Western states, which for many years ignored Russia’s security interests,” and had established an “anti-Russian bridgehead” in the country, the press service stated. The Russian leader reiterated Moscow’s approach to any settlement, stating that it must “be comprehensive and long-term, address the root causes of the Ukrainian crisis and be based on new territorial realities.”

Allegedly France did land some contingent to Odessa. Doesn't matter, I hope those hapless servicemen wrote parting letters to their families, because they will be found out and killed. I don't even know what else did Macron expect to hear from Putin, because Russia's conditions re: 404 are the same. The German government has been coercing Afghan refugees into fighting for Ukraine, a source has claimed to RT. The scheme allegedly targets refugees who have been detained for various crimes, with the threat of deportation if they refuse to comply. According to an individual whose identity cannot be disclosed for security reasons, the “German authorities are forcing Afghan migrants to join the International Legion of Territorial Defense of Ukraine in order to urgently replenish the personnel of the Kiev regime’s armed forces, which is experiencing an acute shortage of people.” The scheme supposedly involves approximately 2,300 refugees detained by German police for various crimes in cities such as Berlin, Bonn, Cologne, Hamburg, Munich, Frankfurt am Main, and Stuttgart.

Which merely supports my thesis about Europe having a visceral hatred for Russians not just as the result of brainwashing, always present, but as Europe's organic, natural state of both racial and cultural hatred deeply rooted in historic experiences and views.  

For Europeans it is about simply harming Russians and for average Euro death and carnage in the East are the least of their concerns--the more Russian civilians die, the merrier. For the most part, bar the strata of educated or people capable of critical thinking and ethics in Europe, majority responds only to the external economic stimuli and has no compunction about anything. It is a cold hard fact which has to be always considered when talking about any kind of relations between West and the rest of the world.

The plan was seemingly shelved, Le Monde has reported, until British Prime Minister Keir Starmer visited Paris earlier this month. Citing anonymous sources, the French newspaper claimed that talks on a possible Franco-British deployment to Ukraine were “reactivated” by Starmer and Macron.

There Is A Huge Difference ...

The problem with Macron is that he is a bank teller, Napoleon was an artillery officer. And he would do just fine if he would stay away from Russia, but no-o-o, he wanted it all and as a result Russians entered Paris in 1814. Russians do not want to enter Paris--there is nothing much to do there--St.Petersburg will do just fine, but if Macron wants the war with Russia, Russians may oblige. With France's 30 operational tanks and who knows how many... tens of Rafales flying--they will get a very warm reception. Melenchon also better learn about strategic ABM and why French nuclear deterrent which is operationally valid only through 4 SSBNs of Triomhant class may not be even that "deterring". I omit here 54 ASMP air-to-ground missiles with the range of 300 kilometers. Ah, this COFM (Correlation Of Forces and Means)--Russians love to calculate it.

Boy, those TRADOC guys, who lost all their wars, still cannot grasp a simple fact--Russia was great power before the United States existed as a country. Translation: PRETORIA, 22 June. /TASS/. The Republic of South Africa takes key decisions related to the BRICS summit (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa), in close coordination with all countries of the association. This also applies to the question of the desire of French President Emmanuel Macron to participate in its work. This was reported to TASS on Thursday by the South African Foreign Ministry. "According to the rules of the BRICS, the chair country that organizes the summit develops the agenda and format of the high-level meeting," the source said. "The chairman also invites non-BRICS leaders to the summit to hold broader meetings on regional or other issues However, all main formats on the sidelines of the summit are subject to agreement with other BRICS countries, and South Africa will follow the tradition of association.This approach will also be used if non-BRICS leaders privately express their wishes to come [to the summit ] and participate in the unification summit events in August in Johannesburg."

Oh boy, that's gotta hurt. Not that Macron has the sense of honor and decency, but still. And he should have gotten the message by now:

French President Emmanuel Macron’s attendance at a meeting of BRICS leaders would be “inappropriate,” considering his government’s stance against Moscow, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov has said. Paris confirmed this week that Macron is seeking an invitation to the bloc’s summit in South Africa in August. Speaking to journalists on Thursday, Ryabkov explained that Russia’s opposition to Macron’s potential appearance was based on France’s efforts to isolate Moscow and its support for NATO’s goal of inflicting a “strategic defeat” on Russia in the Ukraine conflict. “We are not hiding this position and have informed our South African colleagues about it,” Ryabkov said, as cited by Interfax. “We expect our point of view to be fully taken into account.”

In diplomatic language what SAR stated means: go fuck yourself. Pretty clear, really. Let's recall Tolstoy's definitions:

Elaboration On Macron And BRICS.

Again, why Macron and BRICS. It is an undisputed fact that Emmanuel Macron is a Rothschild's family messenger boy. Even WiKi gives the description of this family's activities on its London-Paris axis. 

Both the British and the French branches emerged from the Second World War with new generations of the family at the helm. Historic partnership ties between the two branches were revitalized, leading to a complete merger in 2003 into Rothschild & Co. The Rothschilds created their first hedge funds in 1969, and strengthened its position as a world leader in investment banking. Additionally, the firm is a global private bank with over 4,000 private clients in 90 countries. Rothschild & Co provides a comprehensive range of services to individuals, governments, and corporations worldwide.

This is a classic financial business about moving capitals, much of it being cash. As any hedge funds, Rothschild's funds have analysts--we will omit now their quality issues--who are tasked with assessment of threats and probabilistic analysis designed to preserve and grow the capital. Macron's asking for invitation to BRICS IS NOT an act of espionage or being a Trojan Horse, not at all, it is about trying to negotiate at the fringes of BRICS summit the fate of Rothschild's capitals. The trajectory of the combined West is now well pronounced and the growth of volatility and radical decline are already in progress. This is a bad-bad situation for capital. Money loves stability and calm. 

Evidently the truth of SMO started to trickle to those analysts and THE family and even unsophisticated observer can easily surmise now the scale of geopolitical change--it is unprecedented in modern history. It is also metaphysical--cash, even enormous amounts of it, means absolutely nothing if it does not rest on firm foundation of massive military and real economic power. We observe not just the end of the West's hegemony, a much more profound change is in progress--the death of financial capitalism and exposure of money as merely a tool, not the substance. Dedollarization proceeds at an incredible pace. Just today's example:

Finding the alternatives to the US dollar will take time but the global dominance of the greenback has "stifled" many countries and Africa needs to have its own currency, George Sebulela, president of the African United Business Confederation (AUBC), told RT on Wednesday. Sebulela said that African countries having their own currency would make trade easier with each other and even with other countries. "What the US has done with dollarization has really stifled many countries in one way or another," he said. "If you don't toe the line, you are under pressure because you have to utilize this currency," Sebulela said of the US dollar. He said the question for the African Union will be “how do we begin as a continent that is vast, that has so many big opportunities, to then have our own currency that can make our trade much more easy, even with other countries?” This is a discussion that is also taking place within the BRICS group, Sebulela said.

Just one of many, how about this: 

Russia has reportedly paid dividends from the Sakhalin 1 and 2 oil projects in Chinese yuan, a shift from its usual practice of paying in dollars, thanks to western sanctions on Russia. The decision to pay in Chinese currency instead of the traditional U.S. dollar comes after Russia was cut off from the US dollar-dominated global payments systems following sweeping sanctions off the Ukraine war. 

And how can you do this, people may ask? Simple--because you have the best military in the world and economy which can easily afford and supply it, while allowing the country to grow. Qaddafi didn't have that--he was a leader of a small Arab nation with a lot of cash and minimal military and economic power. He wanted alternative to US Dollar--he got killed. You cannot do this to Russia, because those who try--they get killed in the most violent way. And that is the difference. Libya couldn't produce modern tanks, Russia produces 1,200+ of them a year, all state-of-the-art. Evidently this fact finally "arrived" to Rothschild's family and they desperately try to find the place to park their huge fortunes, before they evaporate due to the collapse of modern West's civilization. Macron is merely a caretaker, nothing more. Hence, "please invite me to BRICS summit". It is also a desperate attempt to grab Putin and Xi's sleeves and try to be heard for a minute. Rothschild's family fortunes want to be guarded by S-400 and T-90Ms with SU-57 instead of Patriot PAC3 and Leopard-2s. That's it, there is nothing more to it.

Larry On Macron; Vera, Scott And Me, And...

... other weekend business. But I start with this--WTF, again?  

It is clear that the US infrastructure is in dire shape, but 404 needs money too, you know. One of the "leaders" of "defeating" Russia, Mr. Macron traveled to Africa, to former French colonies. As Larry notes:

As the Russian “Special Military Operation” grinds on in Ukraine, Russia and China have joined forces to confront the legacy of Western imperialism in Africa and Asia. The war in Ukraine may have begun as an attempt by Russia to secure its border against NATO’s encroachment in Ukraine, but it has now escalated and expanded into a deliberate policy, led by Russia and China, to establish a new multi-polar world that is not a beholden to the dictates of Washington, London and Paris. This involves more than just pursuing stronger diplomatic ties with the so-called Third World, it also includes creating alternative financial systems that will permit trade and commerce without having to worry about sanction-crazy Americans.French President Macron just completed a swing through former African colonies and failed to shore-up France’s standing as a relevant power behind the curtain. But the Western press is loathe to report on the true depth of the growing fissure between France and its former colonies.

Basically, France and her ambiguous leader have been shown their place, especially against the background of Russia's respectful and equal relation with Russia's African partners. Europe continues its fall and it only underscores the necessity of US, Russia and China finding their modus vivendi, the rest of the world will follow. Needless to say, this modus vivendi cannot and will not anymore be based on any kind of hegemony, be that real or self-proclaimed. This topic, partially, was also discussed between Vera Bytko, Scott Ritter and me today. It is both in Russian and English, with my translation. 

Forestalling some Russian "corrections" in terms of "you should have translated it this way instead of that"(c), I would suggest to offer their free services for the next time Vera will be conducting interviews with American guests. I did my best. Anyhow, enjoy if you will.

A Hectic Activity

In the West, because the outcome is clear and they do not know what to do. I would say they never knew and here is the proof. 

Russia is a "great nation" which is now actively seeking a new "destiny," French President Emmanuel Macron said on Thursday. The conflict between Moscow and Kiev has become part of this search, the French leader believes, adding that the West would only see a lasting peace if it contributed to this process through a dialogue with Russia. "Russia as a power … is searching for a [new] self and [is] looking for a destiny," Macron told Spain’s daily El Pais in a lengthy interview. "Russia is a … great nation, territorially and historically," he pointed out, also calling Russians a "great people." Macron admitted that Russia’s revival in the 1990s after the collapse of the Soviet Union was a "very difficult" period. Now, Russia is standing in front of another "abyss," with its future "at stake," Macron stated. While accusing Moscow of "imperialist" ambitions and a desire to decide the fate of its neighbors, the French president still maintained that the West should somehow help Russia find its destiny.

How this piece of work is taken seriously by anybody is beyond me. In Russia he is a butt of the jokes, some of them not for the public arena, and that's the difference--majority of Russians laugh at modern Western "elites". Macron already, together with people like Hollande and Merkel, are written in history as pathetic lap-dogs who finished off Europe as a whole, while Macron destroyed what was left of France. It is a panopticon of midgets and their media sycophants, who themselves are human waste. 

Aren't we all yet taken aback by a degree of sheer incompetence of these people? As Alexander Rogers (in Russian) correctly stated (sadly Rogers' beautiful use of Russia's idiomatic treasures is difficult to fully convey in English) in one of his latest: Who the fuck are you to lecture me? He was reacting to a piece in TAC by a dedicated libertarian Reiganite Doug Bandow, who is completely out of his depth when speaking about Russia. He is not exception--he is a rule in the US "intellectual" milieu. My advise to all of them--learn the fucking subject before speaking on it. And Russia is hard to learn, both in language and history. Especially XX century. I can only repeat Margo Simonyan's advice, again:

I’ve been telling you for a long time to find normal advisers on Russia. Sack all those parasites.     

I can only repeat it. The West's Russia Studies field is a field of fraud and academic waste. Most of Russian history, its scale and scope are beyond the grasp of modern crop of America's "diplomats" and security "studies" graduates. There is now also a serious issue of barely contained complex of inferiority, especially a military one, when one considers an ongoing implosion of Pentagon's doctrinal assumptions, not to speak about military technology so advanced that a hectic activity to cover the loss of the arms race due to graft and military incompetence is ongoing as I type this. 

As late Father Robert Tobias wrote:

When of late in this (American) culture we turned our eyes to divine epiphanies, we perceived only two-dimensionality, not great depth. Perhaps that was provisionally inevitable in a culture dominated by two-dimensional television, movies, billboards, cameras and sports events.  

It is a truism, one cannot navigate a complex four-dimensional reality with a two-dimensional vision, but that is what modern West today is. And it cannot be fixed non-surgically anymore. There is a 50,000 grouping of VSU (and NATO "volunteers") around Seversk. It too will be obliterated and those in Pentagon who still can count and see reality know it. I think Larch is correct that this meeting:

The November meeting between the heads of the CIA and the SVR, two prominent foreign intelligence agencies in the US and Russia respectively, happened at the request of US President Joe Biden, Lavrov revealed. The US leader asked Russian President Vladimir Putin for the meeting, he said. CIA Director William Burns and SVR head Sergey Naryshkin met in Türkiye, but the US official didn’t say anything beyond Washington’s public stance, as is typical for “sporadic” US-Russian contacts, Lavrov remarked. Nevertheless, it had some value. It is the US whose policies have ruined bilateral relations with Russia, and it’s up to Washington to fix them, the diplomat added. “We will not be running after them saying ‘Let’s be friends again,’” he said.  

Was about Russia explaining to the US consequences of the US deciding to go nuclear. The United States has no defense. As Larry mentions this periodically, with Russia's development of ABM capabilities which already make US ones like a backwater, the US will find itself increasingly tempted to arrest the widening of the gap and considering serious psychiatric issues with neocon cabal driving what passes in Washington for US foreign policy, we cannot discard a scenario where the US will finally completely corner itself--she is already pretty close--and will be forced to make a suicidal decision.

.... all kinds of gasses. You know, Russia. 

A global helium shortage has doctors worried about one of the natural gas’s most essential, and perhaps unexpected, uses: MRIs. Strange as it sounds, the lighter-than-air element that gives balloons their buoyancy also powers the vital medical diagnostic machines. An MRI can’t function without some 2,000 liters of ultra-cold liquid helium keeping its magnets cool enough to work. But helium — a nonrenewable element found deep within the Earth’s crust — is running low, leaving hospitals wondering how to plan for a future with a much scarcer supply. “Helium has become a big concern,” said Mahadevappa Mahesh, professor of radiology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Baltimore. “Especially now with the geopolitical situation.” Helium has been a volatile commodity for years. This is especially true in the U.S., where a Texas-based federal helium reserve is dwindling as the government tries transferring ownership to private markets.

And why it is so? Here is why: 

Until this year, the U.S. was counting on Russia to ease the tight supply. An enormous new facility in eastern Russia was supposed to supply nearly one-third of the world’s helium, but a fire last January derailed the timeline. Although the facility could resume operations any day, the war in Ukraine has, for the most part, stopped trade between the two countries. Now, four of five major U.S. helium suppliers are rationing the element, said Phil Kornbluth, president of Kornbluth Helium Consulting. These suppliers are prioritizing the health care industry by reducing helium allotments to less essential customers.

Boy, they really thought that war-thing in Washington through. But if this was not bad enough, now toy-boy is upset. 

U.S. trade and energy policies have created a “double standard”, with Europe left paying higher prices for its natural gas, French President Emmanuel Macron said on Friday. France, the latest—and largest--country to withdraw from the Energy Charter Treaty, has switched from being a net exporter of energy last year, to being a net importer of energy this year, after problems with its nuclear fleet surfaced. To compensate for its declining nuclear fleet and Russia’s complete halt of natural gas shipments into the country, France has turned to the United States for LNG—only Macron is unhappy with the price it’s paying. U.S. natural gas exports to France increased 421% during the first eight months of 2022—but the value of that LNG increased by 1094% in August alone due to the higher prices of LNG. “The North American economy is making choices for the sake of attractiveness, which I respect, but they create a double standard,” Macron explained at a Brussels news conference on Friday, with the United States enjoying low energy prices at home, while exporting at record prices.“In addition, they allow state aid going to up to 80% on some sectors while it’s banned here -- you get a double standard. It comes down to the sincerity of transatlantic trade,”

Somebody explain to Macron that Europe, France included, is lunch, maybe some leftovers for dinner. Europe's only salvation was Russia, but they missed the train and are going to be consumed now. I am absolutely fascinated with the fate of Airbus and how all supply chains will react to the increasing cost of energy, and aerospace, boy, this industry is extremely energy consuming. Fascinating! Hey, Boeing needs to eat too, you know.
