It is the first time in nearly 30 years that a British strike group has arrived in the region. The carrier is on a nine-month Pacific deployment, participating in Australia’s Talisman Sabre exercise and visiting ports in Japan and South Korea. ”If we have to fight, as we have done in the past, Australia and the UK are nations that will fight together. We exercise together and by exercising together and being more ready to fight, we deter better together,” Healey said when asked what London would do in case of an escalation around Taiwan.

Somebody has to remind Mr. Healey that the UK has no military force to resort to. For starters, UK has no real army to speak of, and the Royal Navy's "combat stability" (ability to continue to carry out tasks under combat conditions) is questionable at best. If Healey who has ZERO military background thinks that flattops are not fat prestigious targets, well--sell him a bridge. With one huge pile of metal called HMS Prince of Wales and a single operational Astute-class nuclear powered sub available to what passes for the UK Navy which used to be a proud Royal Navy, time for these clowns to finally resign themselves to the reality of the UK approaching the status of the third world country, with her armed forces being a great embodiment of a rotting husk of once mighty empire. Without the US, militarily UK is not a serious power, period.

Kiev refuses to discuss recognizing Crimea as a Russian territory, Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky told journalists on Tuesday, according to Ukrainian outlet  Suspilne. “[Crimea] is our territory, the territory of the people of Ukraine. We have nothing to talk about on this topic – it is outside our Constitution,” Zelensky said. The Ukrainian leader claimed that discussing the issue of Crimean ownership will only lead to prolonging the war. “As soon as we start talking about Crimea, about our sovereign territories, we enter the format of prolonging the war,” he said, adding that this is “what Russia wants.”

At this stage Ze's BS is needed (if, mind you, IF) only to Trump, Russians don't give a flying fuck about what he and his curators from London think, because Russia can continue with SMO as long as it takes, maintaining operational tempo which is most efficient for killing the remnants of VSU while maintaining own losses low.

Vladimir Putin has offered to halt his invasion of Ukraine across the current front line as part of efforts to reach a peace deal with US President Donald Trump, according to people familiar with the matter. Russians Do Not Fight with The Dead.

Unlike it is the case in the West who applauds the removal of Red Army monuments.  

In graves at Murmansk, Arkhangelsk and Vladivostok, in Russia, lie the bodies of 663 British military personnel. Most of the dead lost their lives in the period just after the first world war, when allied troops were sent to support rightwing White forces in the Russian civil war against the Bolsheviks, while 41 are casualties from the second world war Arctic convoys. Their resting places have been tended over decades by the Russian military and by private contractors, paid by the UK’s Commonwealth War Graves Commission. But after Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, economic sanctions meant Britain could no longer pay for the graves to be maintained. The two countries appear to have come to a private understanding, however. The commission has continued to maintain 674 Soviet graves in its cemeteries in the UK and around the world and, although it cannot be certain, it believes that the Russians are doing the same for the 663 British military personnel.

It is especially true for those Britons who heroically manned convoys with British aid during WW II. I speak about graves and cemeteries in my today's video and how they have been disgraced by Canadian so-called Ambassador to Russia. Who even let her to Piskarevskoe Cemetery.

Being British "elite" nowadays is not fun. You are the butt of the jokes and constantly embarrass yourself as a military amateur. 

Royal Navy submarines have suffered a few mishaps recently, but the country’s Trident programme shows we’re still a potent threat. Despite the vessels’s age, Rear Admiral Chris Parry, who served in the Royal Navy for 37 years from 1972 to 2008, agrees completely with the Prime Minister’s view that despite their age, the Trident submarines really do worry the Russians. “One Trident submarine has the ability to incinerate 40 Russian cities very quickly. That is a lot of food for thought for Putin and that should make any world leader fearful,” he tells The Telegraph.

No, you are not! Because the credibility of a deterrent comes from two things:

1. Its total independence from other party in terms of its production and deployment.

2. Constant confirmation of its technical (euphemism for combat) readiness. 

UK does not meet any of these criteria. Royal Navy's SSBNs carry only four SLBMs in their tubes. Obviously, UK doesn't have full control of US produced SLBMs Trident II D5. The latest attempt by RN's SSBN to launch (first time in 8 years) one of its Tridents ended up in snafu. And then, the game of SSNs and SSKs starts (in Biscay as an example) where French and British SSBNs patrol primarily, but there is another thing--it is called Early Warning and ABM--UK has neither. In fact, most of UK command corps doesn't have enough qualifications to grasp that:

1. All 40 MIRVs from UK sub if it manages somehow to survive to launch will have to meet Russian ABM--it ranges from full capability against ICBMs MIRVs as A-235 Nudol to S-500 and S-550, all of which are in serial production. 

2. Russia can burn, in her turn, 40 British cities even without nukes, while a single salvo by any Borei-class SSBN can turn every military installation of significance in the Air Strip One into ash. 

Russians, unlike British, do not fight civilians and Russia's nuclear doctrine is honed primarily for Counterforce, not Countervalue. But if London insists, 160 hypersonic maneuvering blocks from a single Borei (Russia has 9 of them plus other delivery systems) can multiply UK as a whole (using Russian parlance) by 0. In other words, such a country will simply cease to exist. I am sure Admiral Perry knows what Search Theory and ASW are in the year of 2025 and, frankly, UK will have neither Navy nor Patrol Aviation by the time the only patrolling RN's SSBN will be detected, tracked and sunk. But in the end, Mr. Poseidon has its own ideas on how to deal with that. But what do I know, really. What do I know ...

If one needs proof--look no further than Sahel and French forces' humiliation there (what's new). This, mind you is the BEST force Europe has, the rest is even more pathetic collection of disjoined TOEs and hardware designed to fight in the XX century against weak enemies, incompetent officer corps and combat training which (I am not kidding) evokes Homeric laughter from Russians. You cannot fix it in 20 to 30 years, if ever. And then, there is Mr. Oreshnik. 

Europe has no manufacturing capacity, and it could be, if it decides to go, as Larch posited correctly, terrorism and sabotage rout, Russia can and will suffocate it by cutting off energy streams which still trickle through today and that will kill off the remnants of EU's real economy. Military-wise, Europe is not even in the same league as Russia, and I mean advanced weaponry. Against the background of what today could be semi-official start of dissolution of NATO, let me remind you this, again: 

This time Russians may not be so benevolent, and they will wipe out (or sink) some UK assets if London will continue to exercise illusions about own greatness. Will UK declare war on Russia? Russia has a lot of scores to settle with London. If MI6 and British Ministry of Defense still didn't get the memo to 10 Downing Street--they better now. I am sure American side shared the photos of Yuzhmash with its British allies ... or maybe not allies at all, and, in fact, one of the enemies of the United States? While contemplating all that, recall what the CEO of Rheinmetall stated 10 days ago. 

The EU has depleted its arms stockpiles due to the Ukraine conflict, leaving it exposed to a potential Russian threat, Armin Papperger, the CEO of German arms manufacturing giant Rheinmetall, has stated. The defense executive’s warning was voiced in an interview published by the Financial Times on Monday. It comes amid a renewed attempt at launching a US-Russia dialogue, with the sides on Tuesday holding their first meeting since the start of the Ukraine conflict. Speaking to the FT on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, Papperger, the head of one of the key Western firms supplying Kiev with military equipment, projected sustained high demand for arms in the region, even if peace talks lead to a Ukraine-Russia ceasefire.  

I have news for Herr Papperger--good luck trying to ramp up anything for REAL war.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Sunday warned Panama's President Jose Raul Mulino that Washington will "take measures necessary" if Panama does not immediately take steps to end what President Donald Trump sees as China's influence and control over the Panama Canal.

The Panama obsession is a good example of why making rivalry with China the core of U.S. foreign policy is so harmful. The rivalry creates incentives to exaggerate Chinese power and influence to make China seem more menacing than it really is. “Chinese control” of the canal has been invented out of thin air to serve the larger story that China hawks want to tell about Beijing’s ambitions. Trump and the China hawks are fighting shadows of their own creation, and in the process they are doing real harm to U.S. interests in this hemisphere.

But they are not "harmful", they are great because any pretense of morality, "democracy" and "human rights" has been finally dropped. All this nauseating moralizing of Washington is finally exposed for what it is--parasitic imperial aspirations, a geopolitical "realism" at its pinnacle. And this is healthy, because all this post WW II BS finally dissipates. For this we all should be thankful to DJT--he cleared the playing field of any smoke and mirrors, and we know what he wants. Pop-corn time, as well as schadenfreude, a feeling after Tucker Calrson explained to this cretin Pierce Morgan that, as one Russian observer put it, the old Euro "elites" can suck American cock because UK is irrelevant, and the US is now empire. Decrepit, impotent and pretentious but still stronger than London, who, together with Paris, Berlin and Rome, is nothing more than a touristy attraction. Meanwhile, a former UK Interior Minister Suella Braverman explains why UK is essentially over.
