Larry' Moscow Notes.

This time he spoke to General Buzhinsky. Buzhinsky has actually a degree from Military Institute, where he most likely got his education in jurisprudence and possibly as military interpreter. He, however, graduated from Frunze Military Academy (War College) and defended his Ph.D thesis in Military Sciences. He served in General Staff. So he has a vast experience in understanding decision-making process and his insight is important.

Today, I interviewed retired Lt. General Evgeny Buzhinsky, who served in the International Treaty Department of the Main Directorate of International Military Cooperation of the Russian Ministry of Defense. I asked him specifically about the importance, or lack thereof, of the Ukrainian drone attacks on the Russian airfields that host some of Russia’s strategic bombers. He said that people should not read too much into his public silence on the matter because Putin viewed this act as a betrayal by London and Washington of the New Start Agreement. The General specifically said, “Putin was furious.” The General went on to say that this moment marked the closest that the United States and Russia have come to the brink of nuclear war since the Cuban missile crisis. I hope to post the video on Thursday and you can watch him yourself.

Well, WHEN did London and Washington not betray anyone? With the exception of the America's firm and friendly stance on Russian side during Crimean War and, to a certain degree, Lend-Lease aid. Don't remember. As per London--it was always existential enemy of Russia and a source of terrorism around the world. The only thing MI6 does good is terrorism. Real war? Nope.

"Azov" Nazis ...

... march in London. Last time I checked UK (then GB) was a part of anti-Hitler Coalition together with USSR and USA. Not anymore.

First, Canada, now--this. And I omit here even the pathetic level of marching by these officially British outlets which pass for Armed Forces in UK. So, UK now marches with heirs of Hitler.

This Is not Just Zelensky ...

... this is what his curators from London want. For them, Slavs are subhumans, as is true for most American "elites". So, killing children is a fine Nazi tradition, Hitlerjugend all the way, especially if those are Slavic children. Racial hatred towards Russians and criminal malice towards remaining VSU, including children, permeates Western media, especially British ones. Here is Colonel Davis with a good summary:

The reports of children, 18-year-olds and whole female formations of VSU now dying in astonishing numbers are corroborated even in the West, which is criminally responsible for that. Just to give you heads-up. Russia and VSU today exchanged bodies:

Россия и Украина провели обмен телами военных. Россия и Украина провели обмен телами военных по формуле «909 на 41»

Translation: Russia and Ukraine exchanged bodies of soldiers. Russia and Ukraine exchanged bodies of soldiers according to the formula "909 for 41".

This is a very strong correlation with actual combat losses. So, divide roughly 909 by 41 and you get 1 to 22 in KIAs in Russia's favor at this stage of SMO. It is a slaughter, which London and Washington have been willing to precipitate largely due to military illiteracy of the political and military institutions in the West. So, DJT's statements like this:
Are absolutely meaningless, and if the US wants to, somehow, continue to support 404, Russia will oblige and will continue to expose US military weakness, to use a polite term here, by destroying the bulk of remaining US military technology. COFM, my friends, COFM.

Generally Speaking...

... there is absolutely no value in maintaining diplomatic relations with London, since no normal people exist in British government. If any of the three previous UK's PM are not the exhibit A of a complete moral degeneration, I don't know who is.

British ambassador to Moscow Nigel Casey rudely brushed off an RT journalist after getting a dressing-down by the Russian Foreign Ministry over one of his employee’s spy activities. Edward Prior Wilks, second secretary in the British Embassy’s political department, was declared persona non grata because he “intentionally made false statements” on his visa application, the FSB said on Tuesday. The Russian security service also said it found evidence of Wilks’ involvement in “intelligence and sabotage activities.” Casey was summoned to the Foreign Ministry in Moscow on Tuesday, to receive the Russian complaint regarding his subordinate’s subversive actions. While leaving the building on Smolenskaya Square, the British ambassador ran into a crowd of reporters. “Buzz off!” he told RT’s Chay Bowes, who asked him about the espionage scandal. “Why can you spend hundreds of millions of pounds to kill Russian citizens, but you won’t pay for the pensioners’ fuel?” Bowes asked, as Casey fled into an embassy car, which then drove off.

I do feel for average Britons and especially so for the most vulnerable, but that is just a natural slide of the UK towards the limbo between second and third world status. But, it is an economic and military chihuahua which pretends that it is still a bulldog. That's how they brainwash most of the "products" of humanities degree mills from Oxford and others. So, I don't know why keep diplomatic relations with this puny island. It has no value for Russia whatsoever.

Well, Well, Well...

... I just spoke to Ania, like 10 minutes ago.

But as we all know Nuland abdicated and this is the first and most significant sign of reality dawning on the illiterate and incompetent D.C. swamp. But the whole thing was in the making for weeks now. You see, that just proves my point--Nuland and her neocon cabal stuffed with "Russian experts" with such degrees as political science or journalism (that means not having systematic education) had only one thing going for them--their visceral hatred of Russia and Russian people supported by BS geopolitical theories from second-rate Anglo-American scholarship. Obviously, studying warfare is much harder than studying the BS they teach in Georgetown or Harvard in "international relations" or "government". And here is the result--they went against people who would eat them all for breakfast. But impotent rage of London and D.C. is understandable.

So, what's left for them is what the only thing they can do--sabotage, diversionary actions, pure terrorism, killing Skripal's cat et al. Sergei Naryshkin on record today.

Translation: MOSCOW, March 5 – RIA Novosti. The United States and Great Britain are participating in the training of special operations forces for subversive work against Russia, said the director of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergei Naryshkin, in an exclusive interview for Solovyov Live, fragments of which were shown on the Rossiya 1 TV channel. “The Americans, especially the British, participated and are participating in the training of special operations forces and intelligence officers to conduct subversive work against our country,” he said. Thus, according to the head of the department, the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines were blown up by the Anglo-Saxons. As for the United States, they are creating a wide intelligence network both on the territory of Ukraine and in other countries, including those that border Russian territory, Naryshkin noted. “The fact that American intelligence services participated in the training and retraining of Ukrainian intelligence officers is an obvious fact,” Naryshkin added.
So predictable, so trivial, even boring. The attempts of London to parade itself as a meaningful geopolitical player are laughable. The city of London better invest into sanitation and street maintenance than into futile attempts at supporting remnants of geopolitical significance--this is out of UK's league, simple as that. Russia is ready. So, stay tuned.

What Was Always Warranted...

... and finally comes to surface on Russians' part. For intro, one has to understand what measuring of anything is. Measuring anything is a process of COMPARISON to a standard. E.g. when you measure length you compare it to a standard which is your measuring device, be it a simple ruler or laser device, produced at the factory which itself uses very precise standards. In the US it is Weights and Measures Division of government, which oversees the proper comparisons by providing highest level of measures standardization.  In the everyday life, however, when comparing something, we all use rather widely different standards of food habits, cleanness (hygiene) or of beauty. But even here, there are SOME standards which one cannot ignore.

Here is comparison of today's Moscow and London.

It doesn't require additional comments because we all, at least people who visit and read this blog, have some basic standards. This is the measure of things. That is why I am on record, some New Yorker who never visited anything beyond NYC, could have a serious cognitive dissonance if not cultural shock when being placed in the middle of Moscow or St. Petersburg, because he (she) never saw anything like this. Same goes for the most Londoners depicted in this video.

Now to other standard, which underscores the difference. A simple fact.

Translation: St. PETERSBURG, October 15 – RIA Novosti. Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin ordered to check the video of the beating of people in St. Petersburg by immigrants from Azerbaijan, the press service of the Russian Investigative Committee reported. “The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the acting head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for St. Petersburg O.V. Bobkov to initiate a criminal case and submit a report,” the publication says. According to the Baza Telegram channel, the company beats passers-by in the Northern capital and posts relevant videos on social networks. The published footage shows a group of young people attacking people, beating and insulting them. This happens in various places in St. Petersburg, mainly near the metro and in shopping centers. The MVD Media portal reported that the police are also checking the video from St. Petersburg. “Police officers are conducting an investigation into this fact, and measures have been taken to identify and detain the persons appearing in the video,” reports the press center of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Now let me decipher for you what it means. That means, that the Russian equivalent of Director of FBI (in fact, more powerful) gets personally involved into this case. Now, all proper assets of MVD (Ministry of Internal Affairs) get involved in looking for these sons of bitches, who, no doubt, now will try to escape to Azerbaijan, but here is the trick--somebody already is calling leaders of Azeri diaspora and informs them that this looks really bad on diaspora's record, because now information about this event is reported in all major Russian media. Once those ass-holes will be captured, they will have a book thrown at them, not before they will tearfully start begging forgiveness on video, of course.

There is another way of dealing with that. Ramzan Kadyrov has even more effective method--Chechen community living in Russia proper know it damn well, that if any law is broken, those are usually immediately sent back to Grozny where they begin to beg for forgiveness and apologize and then are given jobs such as sweeping Grozny's streets or doing other sanitation jobs--utter humiliation for Chechen man. You see? That is why Russian cities are clean, safe and orderly and compare extremely favorably to anything in the combined West. BLM's analogue is simply impossible in Russia and nobody gives a shit about "human rights" if the law is broken. Of course, Russia has Gypsy issues, but that requires a separate approach. Here is Vladimir Putin reminds one of the leaders of Gypsy diaspora "human rights" how she somehow "omitted" the crime which emanates from Gypsy tabors.
In Russian. So, I hope you get my message. This is also why the West is over. Plus, Russians, when they had enough, get to it themselves. Maybe because they still have some standards?

Couple of Points.

First point is a squealing of Turkish assets once their balls are placed in the vice of real geopolitics and real military power. As Azeri news agency Haqqin (Time) reports:

Translation: The chairman of the Turan party, Jahandar Bayoglu, called for the removal of all pro-Russian officials from power in Azerbaijan. According to him, the country should take this step in order to protect itself from external influences. The politician stressed that it is necessary to take control and remove from the leadership of all pro-Russian officials, deputies and heads of public organizations. The party chairman called on the head of state to dissolve the Milli Mejlis and start new socio-economic reforms. Bayoglu believes that if the country's leadership does not take these decisive steps, then the events that are taking place in Kazakhstan may repeat in Azerbaijan. He added that pro-Russian forces have infiltrated the structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Security Service and the Ministry of Defense. The politician also called for the completion of the transition of the Azerbaijani army to the model of the Turkish army as soon as possible.

Aw, how cute)) I have news for this Turan dude, the first pro-Russian official in Azerbaijan is its President Ilham Aliev who is a good friend of Vladimir Putin and, unlike Erdogan, is extremely well-educated and cultured man who understands the real score. And there is a lot to this score what Bayoglu doesn't understand precisely because he is the leader of Turan party. I will omit here elaboration of a fallacy of pan-Turkism but, of course, events in Kazakhstan just all but killed this idea in every practical sense and it is not only Ankara which cries now, there are very many people in London who, yet again, discovered that contrived geopolitical concepts mean very little if you are not a superpower. UK is NOT a superpower, it is a second rate power which still suffers from phantom pains of once greatness which is no more. They better learn and internalize this fact both at Downing Street 10 and at Hanslope Park. The sun has set on your empire, just live with it.

The second point is Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov stating today:

"Так что НАТО надо собирать манатки и отправляться на рубежи 1997 года".

Translation: NATO has to pack up its things and move back to the borders of 1997.

I know, it hurts, there will be (already, actually) many pompous statements from the likes of Tony Blinken or Jens Stoltenberg but, thanks to Bernhard of Moon of Alabama who posted brilliant Michael Brenner's piece on US foreign policy, it is totally warranted to present what one of very few true American foreign policy experts writes about the mental state of US "elites".

U.S. engagements in the world over the past 20 years reveal a grim record of failed ventures. Most have been caused by unrealistic goals, blinkered views of the field of action, overweening pride, an ignorance of foreign places and their history, and an unseemly readiness to take complacent comfort in fantasy worlds that exist only in its own imagination. In short, American foreign policy has been misguided – badly and consistently misguided. The inevitable frustrations and failures owe equally to sheer incompetence. An endless string of errors – diplomatic, military and political – is as difficult for the nation to reconcile with its ‘can-do’ self-image as is the admission of the glaring discrepancy between the belief in the country’s providential mission and its increasingly evident ordinariness.

This is another salient point Brenner makes:

Americanism provides a Unified Field Theory of self-identity, collective enterprise, and the Republic’s enduring meaning. When one element is felt to be in jeopardy, the integrity of the whole edifice becomes vulnerable. In the past, American mythology energized the country in ways that helped it to thrive. Today, it is a dangerous hallucinogen that traps Americans in a time warp more and more distant from reality. There is a muted reflection of this strained condition in the evident truth that Americans have become an insecure people. They grow increasingly anxious about who they are, what they are worth and what life will be like down the road. This is an individual and collective phenomenon. They are related insofar as self-identity and self-esteem are bound up with the civic religion of Americanism. To a considerable degree, it’s been like this since the very beginning. A country that was “born against history” had no past to define and shape the present. A country that was born against tradition had no rooted and common sense of meaning and value that cut deeply into the national psyche. A country that was born against inherited place and position left each individual at once free to acquire status and obliged to do so for insignia of rank were few.

This is an excellent definition of the underlying causes for the American "exceptionlaism" which is an obverse side of insecurity. I write about it non-stop for decades, really. My first book is almost entirely built around this premise. Reality, like gravity, is a bitch--no number of narratives by ignorant and uneducated American journos can obfuscate it without creation of a serious nation-wide cognitive dissonance which inevitably translated into the psychological, if not psychiatric, disorders on a massive scale. Reality will inevitably bite into one's ass no matter how one tries to construct own alternative "reality". Will see how it will go in Geneva tomorrow but Ryabkov was actually very upbeat today about preliminary talks, meaning dinner, (in Russian). We'll see. Geneva is just a start, Russia is not interested in humiliating the US at this stage (the US does a swell job on its own) and still leaves an honorable, face-saving exit for the US, which, in the end could be presented as a triumph of common sense and superpowers working together. For the US internally it could play well against the background of upcoming mid-terms and a serious economic downturn.

If not, well--chose on your own pawns which will be removed form the "chess board" by Russia and what new weapon systems will be announced and deployed without leaving NATO any option but to capitulate. But that is the food for thought for tomorrow. This is just a part of the VTA's IL-76s yesterday, at some point of time during the day, in Alma-Ata airport alone.

As you all know VTA was also transporting ODKB forces to other Kazakh cities, so make your own conclusions on Russia's air mobility capability. Giant AN-124s are not even shown here, while they were also actively involved in deployment of ODKB forces.

224th Flight Detachment of Russian Defense Ministry, which operates those giants, has 8 of them at its disposal. Single An-124 can, well, just get acquainted here with what cargo can a single 124 take on-board, and keep in mind that its can also take some number of paratroopers in its pressurized compartments. Most of VDV personnel is carried by IL-76s. Those who had to, they got the message.

It Was !5 Years Ago That Russians Understood That They Were Cooler, Way Cooler... And They Never Looked Back.

But it was even earlier (1991) that this video predicted the abandonment of this cool UK lifestyle.

London, goodbye, I am an alien here, London, goodbye, time to go home...

Now, London, Goodbye...

You are a shithole....What's new...

A Good Question To Ponder.

Bloomberg asks:

Why the U.K. Won't Punish Russia by Going After Its Debt Markets.

Indeed, why? Bloomberg goes on to say that:

  • Britain Can't Act Alone
  • Russia Can Survive Without debt

  • US is afraid of Damage To Global Markets

These three points are rather startling, however implicit, admission of Russia's actual rather massive real economic weight and that is the thing which most in US (and UK) still can not deal with being in a complete denial. As Bloomberg admits:

In some respects, the sanctions imposed on Russian companies and individuals in 2014 showed that Russia can always muddle through on its own.

One may ask then--how do they, Russians, do it? Granted, of course, that it is not to 2014 but 2018 and I am not going to be original here by continuing to review enclosed (that is full) technological cycles which Russia grows as mushrooms after the rain and will refer to the World Bank data. Look at these two tables, they speak volumes and, again, those are merely WB projections:

As you can see, it is industrial sector which contributes most to Russia's growth. Not finances, not services, however many of them crucial or important. So, what's the catch? There is none. Russia's so called "financial", "debt" or "stock" market is absolutely irrelevant in Russia's economic outlook, real economy, however is, hugely at that. Nobody in Russia gives a damn, with the exception of a minuscule strata of Russia's moneyed and hip who make money in stock and speculations, about how quotes are doing daily. Russians, of course, do care how Ruble does but that is the extent of the interest of the overwhelming majority of Russians in the so called "financial" (euphemism for hollow bubbles of derivatives detached from the reality) markets.

The explanation is as simple as explanation of a propaganda BS of US GDP being 19 Trillion Dollars--in reality being probably half of declared number. Russians DO care about internal market. This caring, unlike it became the case with otherwise sensible Trump's campaign re-industrialization slogans, manifests itself in Russia's steady industrial, especially manufacturing, output.

MOSCOW, Feb 15 (Reuters) - Russia's industrial output rose 2.9 percent in January compared with January a year ago, recovering after two months in red, the state statistics service said on Thursday.

There should be no surprise in that for a simple reason: Russia has the largest, and by far, population among European nations, her market is, actually, huge and is primed for a massive industrial outputs (inputs). How so you may ask--very simple. Take aerospace. Or, much maligned initially Sukhoi Super Jet 100. While media were screaming about this regional jet being an economic failure, 170+ of those have been already produced and flying, while there are 170+ are on orders already. This is just the start, Sukhoi already announced development of a 75-seater with 50+ confirmed firm orders plus with almost full localization, including fully Russian-engines, for future aircraft. Russia's regional (a relative term) commercial aviation is not about to explode--it is already exploding, with new SSJ-100s and upcoming IL-114 long overdue removal of old and obsolete Antonov and Western aircraft. Together with MS-21 Russia needs thousands of those in upcoming decade or two.

A very similar picture is repeating itself in many industrial fields from car market which is expanding (a first sign of people willing to buy durable and expensive consumer goods) both for domestic and foreign manufacturers to pharmaceutical. Russians do not care about making money on stock exchange, what Russians do care is to have a decent and, most importantly, stable job--guess who provides it? Right, State. Not in a sense of a direct employment, albeit this too, but in what today increasingly looks like Russia's second industrialization guided by the government based on largely nationalized or financially controlled and supported strategic industries which continue to turn out world class products be it commercial aviation, industrial equipment or consumer goods. Russians just love building machines, so much so that recent poll in Russia found a startling revelation--many Russia's young hipsters with all those "useful" degrees in marketing, finances, banking, sociology and "strategic analysis" were ready to retrain for a blue (really?) collar jobs such as CNC Operators or machinists of all kind. Russia doesn't need "financial analysts" (BTW, the US doesn't need them either).

Even brief review of jobs sides both in Russia and US gives a very interesting insight into Russia's economy. Russia, which is less than half of US in population has more than a half, 2500+ against about 5000 jobs, demand for CNC operators than it is the case in the US. Obviously those numbers are not precise and they do fluctuate but even the approximate ratio is revealing. Unlike the US which surrendered her  consumer and industrial market to China, Russia has a very different view on that issue and continues on with re-industrialization. For majority of Western "analysts" still stuck in the Soviet memes of 1970s and 1980s, the acquaintance with Russian-made world-class consumer goods may provide a cultural shock.  Not to mention professional top of the line equipment

The market which is so voluminous as Russia's will be increasingly in need of a whole spectrum of consumer and industrial goods. But nobody in the West, it seems, can wake up to the reality that at this stage Russia doesn't really care if somebody "punishes" her or not, especially such a pretentious economic "giant" as UK, whose GDP is barely 60% or Russia (if to believe the very shysters from London who run a global financial ponzi scheme) and which is the GDP of utterly de-industrialized backwater still thinking that it is a superpower. And then, of course, there are Russia's Military-Industrial Complex and massive strategic natural resources against which UK doesn't even register as a serious power thus raising the question--how, indeed, can UK "punish" Russia when Great Britain was the first, as incomparable Corelli Barnett noted:

"… swift decline in British vigor at home and the failure to exploit the empire were not owing to some inevitable senescent process of history....That cause was a political doctrine....The doctrine was liberalism, which criticized and finally demolished the traditional conception of the nation-state as a collective organism, a community, and asserted instead the primacy of individual. According to liberal thinking a nation was no more than so many human atoms who happened to live under the same set of laws....It was Adam Smith who formulated the doctrine of Free Trade, the keystone of liberalism, which was to exercise a long-live and baneful effect on British power....Adam Smith attacked the traditional "mercantilist” belief that a nation should be generally self-supporting…"

Russia is increasingly self-supporting and no amount of blackmail, especially in such fields as snake oil sales and trading of the air and useless papers (or machine code lines), aka financial sector, can change the fact that the only way UK can "punish" Russia is to make Russians speak to Boris Johnson and thus make life of Lavrov and Zaharova miserable.  Meanwhile London should start paying more attention to a wide spread pedophilia and rape of English girls by increasingly culturally enriching (did the land of Shakespeare, Newton, Conan Doyle and Beatles need that "enriching"?) "Asian men" (and local ones) and resign itself to the fact that it is nothing more than a nice tourist attraction. That is until it gets completely "enriched" and will be finally ruled by Sharia.
