Alarm! Alarm!

No really, as it turned out, Russians are not viewed by many in America as blood-thirsty interfererers  in American democracy and genetically predisposed baby-eating monsters. Moreover:  

WASHINGTON - Russian efforts to weaken the West through a relentless campaign of information warfare may be starting to pay off, cracking a key bastion of the U.S. line of defense: the military. While most Americans still see Moscow as a key U.S. adversary, new polling suggests that view is changing, most notably among the households of military members. The second annual Reagan National Defense Survey, completed in late October, found nearly half of armed services households questioned, 46%, said they viewed Russia as ally. Overall, the survey found 28% of Americans identified Russia as an ally, up from 19% the previous year.

You see how powerful Russian "propaganda" is? But I think the answer to this mystery is rather simple and the key word is "households". Yeah, yeah, you know those heterogeneous families which have to live not only with long separations but also with the danger of a family member being killed or maimed in Washington's non-stop wars of aggression. This is not your regular middle-class (if it still exists) sub-urban environment--it imposes completely different social, cultural and mental requirements for the family to survive. Now, consider the fact that Russians do not want to fight and speak about this openly and, yes, yes, did view at some point of time the United States as a natural ally--this moment is long gone. But Russians do not allow sodomy Internationale to destroy their own country and that could be (wink, wink) one of those factors too. But to any American who bothers to access Russian media, many of which are subbing in English, they may be culturally shocked by the fact that Russians do not hate, and in fact, sympathize with the average Americans and are keenly aware of the fact that Russia is facing US corrupt and aggressive "elites" who are the real enemy. 

Now a short statement. Couple of days ago Deputy FM Ryabkov, later corroborated by Putin himself, offered to "discuss" (I underscore it) inclusion of Kinzhal and Poseidon systems in negotiations on the extension of the START.  Calm down, if some of you read it as a "surrender" (I lost count how many times Russia "surrendered" in the last 10 years) it is not--discussion is not a limitation, a limitation is not a rejection and both Russian and American sides are keenly aware of the significance of especially Kinzhal. It is allegedly a non-strategic weapon which has even in conventional form a massive strategic effect by basically annulling all NATO's naval power as a start, it is capable of land-strikes too. I, personally, don't think that new START's extension will be signed, but it really does mean very little at this stage, plus I could be wrong, of course, but as they said in the Landsraad" "The forms must be obeyed."   

G-8 Russian Poll.

Russian daily Vzglyad positions itself as a business daily. It does, indeed, attract many comments from all kinds of public ranging from uber-liberal loonies to normal people to armies of mostly Ukrainian trolls. I use Vzglyad merely as news aggregator and, once in a while, source of either decent or, opposite, down right stupid opinion pieces. In all, I don't take it too seriously. Yet, Vzglyad does provide good feel for public opinion in Russia (granted very roughly approximate) and here is one from two days ago regarding possible Russia's return to G-7, or G-8, if one wishes. 

25, 576 people were polled on-line and 92.3% of those responded negatively to the question if Russia should return to Great Eight. Here are slightly updated results--nothing changed. To interpret these results is really easy for anyone who knows Russia not from pages of NYT or WaPo, or Moscow Times, or Kommersant, but knows Russia's and Russian people. Russia doesn't want to deal with the so called West and doesn't see herself as a part of it, she sees her future in Eurasia. Modern West lost any value for overwhelming majority of Russians and this is not the heat of the moment poll--it is a well defined long term trend which has massive geopolitical ramifications. Why? How about this little piece of news: Russia and China signed new package of documents on military cooperation, which allowed Sergei Shoigu to call it (in Russian) a new stage of Russian-Chinese cooperation. This somehow coincided with Igor Korotchenko, who is one of Russia's main insiders on defense, stating three days ago at Solovyov's show, that Russia should extend her anti-missile umbrella over China (in Russian).

So, something is up and who knows what we will observe in coming months. Chinese meanwhile are moving people and hardware to Russia for Center 2019 military exercise. These are very big maneuvers and they also are designed to address some issues with inevitable exit of the United States from Afghanistan and a shitstorm which will happen there once US leaves. Somebody needs to clean up the mess, once the Taliban scourge starts pouring over the borders. I wish Zbig was still alive to see the fruits of his policies. 

    

A Curious Poll.

Sputnik, the subsidiary of Ria, has recently conducted an interesting poll (in Russian). Number of Europeans from four EU nations--France, UK, Germany and Poland--were asked a simple question: if Russia is a European Country. Responses are shown in this graph. Since it is in Russian--white numbers (and segments of pie-charts) stand for "Yes", solid color (orange) is for "No", the rest is for "Don't know". 

French turned out to be most decisive in rejecting Russia as a European nation, Britons were second, but it was Germany where Russia, albeit with minimal advantage, is considered to be European, with Poles overwhelmingly viewing Russians as European people. I want to forestall immediately all those "pattern seekers" if they would decide to "see" a purely geography/distance factor as a "pattern". It is not. In the end, geographically France is closer to Russia than UK, yet, it is in France where minimal number of people view Russia as the European nation. 

Russians' response in comments was overwhelmingly predictable and it could be reduced to this: "Yes, we are not "Europeans" in Europe of France and UK." This is precise answer since neither UK nor France are European anymore, unlike, say, Poland and Poles who really do know who they are and what they want. I may disagree with Poles on many geopolitical and history issues, but Poles sure as hell know that they are predominantly white, Christian (Catholic), European people who still treasure their mono-culture and cultural heritage, and this heritage is distinctly European. The "Europe" of France and UK, on the other hand, is a multicultural cloaca, with post-Christian relativist "morality" and dumbed down population which was completely emasculated and racially and culturally deluded. The only things "European" France or UK have left are some architectural places, some graves of Europe's greats and some sweet memories of once cultural and intellectual greatness. That is about it. France is long ago not a whole country--with her South being Islamized with increasing speed. Marseilles is not a French city anymore, it is Islamic Arab crime-ridden shithole, with Paris' suburbs being run by Muslim gangs and it is really preposterous to view France as a "European" nation. Same goes for UK with her own version of post-greatness syndrome and with having no guts to even deal with wide spread pedophilia and wholesale rape of underage girls by Britain's generic "Asian men". I think UK still has many of those undiscovered culturally diverse towns and other localities, so--stay tuned. But with Muhammed being now the most popular boys' name in London, United Kingdom can look with optimism into her even greater even more "European" future.

Germany is a complex case, but Germany has some serious factor which plays for her in a long run, but I will avoid discussing it here. Enough to say that Germany's undisputed claim to European economic dominance can not be sustained with her current cultural (and economic) policies. So, unlike France or UK, Germany will face or is already facing this choice--to continue to be what she is today and, inevitably, fade into the obscurity, or undertake a number of policy-adjustments in order to remain economic (and political) locomotive of Europe. So, I have to agree, in this case, with French and Britons--Russia is NOT a European state in a modern sense, since Russia is European in the most profound European sense, which was rejected by France and UK. As Edurad Limonov succinctly observed recently, it is Russia which is a real West today. I can only quote myself here:

Until this geopolitical fact is understood and internalized, that Marseilles, London or Brussels are not Europe anymore, no serious discussion on Pan-European Entente is possible. This is not to mention European limitrophes such as Poland, Baltic States or even Sweden who in their Russo-phobic insanity will do their utmost to impede such a discussion.

In the end, it is not enough that St.Petersburg features constantly in all public (such as Trip Advisor) Top 10 European tourist destinations, St.Petersburg is actually officially recognized as Europe's Best Tourism Destination. Again. If you get my drift. In the end, Russian Police, unlike its French counterpart, doesn't flee armed mobs, it shoots back and gets it under control and restores the order--that is why Russian cities, especially large ones, are safe. In the end, one has to see St. Petersburg, or Moscow, or Sochi, or returning back to life Sevastopol and Crimea, or Vladivostok, or visit Peterhof to understand why Russians do not care about the place once known as Europe--because they can say I am Russian and be proud of it, especially in the place which was never conquered. 

Vzglyad Poll.

Today, a very famous Russian media resource Vzglyad posted the results of a poll on what kind of relations would Russians prefer with the United States. After more than 9000 people answered what emerged is rather peculiar in a sense that Russians simply want to be left alone. 

        

Russians long ago stopped viewing the United States as possible ally and after West's committing a cultural suicide in Russia with West's inspired coup in Kiev, the only thing Russians do want is for West to just go away. That is what this neutrality means.

Schadenfreude-I.

Those who read my blog from the inception, recall how many (and it is many) times did I labor to point out a huge difference between information (data) and knowledge. Also, recall how many times, in fact, constantly, I reiterated, and will continue to reiterate, that all this political "science", journalism and other similar degrees, are degrees in nothing and are not real professions or viable skills. I also never hid my contempt for the (many, not all) representatives of these so called "professions". Now, the shit started to surface and some begin to ask questions (as was expected).  

This statement: Donald Trump's astonishing White House victory over Democratic favorite Hillary Clinton produced another demonstrably clear loser in the process: US polling. Such was the scope of pollsters' and forecasters' failures Tuesday night that the future of the entire industry was being thrown into question. Of the 20 major polling institutions including national networks, prominent newspapers and news wires that conducted more than 80 polls since mid-September, only one organization -- the Los Angeles Times paired with USC Tracking -- consistently gave Trump the edge.

I have some news for the author of this piece and to those in this so called "industry". Flush all of your diplomas and Ph.Ds or whatever degrees in humanities you have down wide enough toilet because they are not worth the paper on which they are printed. Sure, one has to have data--but data itself means absolutely nothing until it is fitted into the Procrustean Bed of strict causality. It is only then when these data may become a knowledge. The problem for this "industry" and the whole class of parasites who suckle from American political class fat teet, is that they don't care about causality and consistently misread or, otherwise, influence public opinion to express itself in a direction which political class, not voters, need. You think it happened during this campaign only? No, it is, in fact, Modus Operandi of this industry--it was always like that. Another matter that only with the Trump's decisive victory the monstrous scale of the abyss which separates these "forecasters" and "pollsters" from the real America has been revealed. Indeed, when one thinks that the wind blows because trees are moving, that is has a causality exactly the other way around, what result can one expect from the decisions made on such false premises? Well, in order to develop knowledge, not some fraud (well paid, I may add), in order to be truly situationally aware, one has to work his ass off. Like in military. Now, I am trying envision how those pollsters and "forecasters" develop it. I have an idea--they don't. Most of those organizations (institutes, whatever) run a rigid routine of hiring some students and call centers to do the "polling", while fat cats of polling business discuss what needs to be made public and how to manipulate data with those who pay them, somewhere in fancy restaurants over good steak and nice whiskey or wine. But this is the MO of not only polling industry. This is how US political establishment operates in general--look at the results all around us. 

Will Trump victory, which dealt a crushing blow to the so called "establishment", lead to a considerable changes, I don't know. I still maintain my position that this establishment lives in a parallel universe precisely because it can only see one or two dimensional data and is incapable to see a great depth, a complex 3-dimentional picture. If new US Administration wants to really develop a knowledge of the outside world--it would require more, way more, than just data. It will require understanding, which is a highest form of knowledge. I hope that this principle will be applied to negotiations with Russia and will lead to de-escalation and working out of some geopolitical compromise which will sustain moderately peaceful and prosperous global order for a good long while. It seems possible now. If imbeciles from the so called establishment and its pollster lap dogs didn't get the message--real America voted yesterday for no more wars and for badly needed clean up of America's own house. This is a causality and I am sharing it for free with everyone. I conducted this personal poll through my 20 years of living and driving all around US and I don't mean interstates only, I love my back and country roads and mid-towns USA, where real people still live in vast numbers as the result of these elections so vividly demonstrated yesterday. I hope this America, which I love dearly, finally found its voice.

Majority of Germans Want Obama to Run for President Again 

But I still will make several points. Unless majority of Germans are up to secretly dealing an irreparable damage to the US (which I don't believe is the case) we are witnessing a complete imbecialization of the nation, which had so much potential once, long time ago. 

There is no doubt that George W. Bush was a horrendous President, prior to him, this wandering willy Clinton was not much better--he was just luckier. But if anyone embodies a complete degeneration of the American political class it is Barak Hussein Obama. Here are some pretty obvious and empirically proven Obama's features as a "statesman" which make (and always did) him utterly not fit to run not only the United States Of America but even have a seat on the city council in some God-forsaken locality somewhere in the mid-West. 

a) The guy is absolutely narcissistic, in fact, he seems to be a megalomaniac of the first order. Being first black US President and a recipient of, however preposterous and discredited, Nobel Peace Prize will do this to you if being humble and having your feet on the ground was not nurtured in you since childhood.

b) Being a lawyer, Obama understands (probably) legalistic side of process of governance but he has no a single feature which makes a statesman as opposed to politician. And a consummate politician he is being good only in one thing--creating and nurturing an image. 

c) He has a very vague idea about international relations, he is even worse "strategist" and policy generator, he doesn't understand economics but he is certainly very good in the issues of LGBT agenda, throwing his weight behind a bunch of hood black criminals (you know,  if Obama had a son...), promoting suicidal cultural policies and he loves diversity. The hell with those who really are creators of what used to be a massive American wealth--working class mostly white America. 

d) Obama does have a very strange relations with Islam, to say the least--all of them against the overwhelming empirical evidence of Islam not being exactly a friendly force towards what is considered a Christian cultural realm. In the end, anyone who calls Al Azhar University an ancient "center of learning" should really check their definition of "learning" in those ancient times. 

e) He is weak and his "team", especially in Foreign Policy is a living proof of that. In the end, it is Obama who started (most likely because of utter incompetence and petulance) Cold War 2.0.  

In general, Obama can not stand what Roger Scruton defines as Western Civilization, which, in essence, is a Christian one. Obama is hell-bent on destroying it, starting from the US--this is what stands in the way of his vision for America and the world. I lived through Obama's Presidency and I can testify to the fact that while US political class was going down the drain for a while, it is Obama who is most divisive, conniving and damaging US President in modern US history. 

Now, that is a suicidal "standard" Germans chose to live up to, if the numbers of the poll in Germany are correct. For anyone, who judges people not by their lofty rhetoric but by their actions and results they produce, seeing the results of this poll seems to be beyond comprehension. But don't be surprised. Germans have been brain-washed now for decades. German media are not free by even most lax definition of freedom of speech, any nation which has Green Party as a viable and, in fact, influential political force is not healthy by definition. Everything German was steadily purged from Germans by their NATO "partners" by means of promoting cultural policies of "tolerasty" and multiculturalism. We saw the results of that recently and that is just the start. Well, what can I say, the nation which admires Barak Obama and what he stands for, and 62% is a huge number, the sentence is already set in stone--Kaput. No lives left.
