Ahem, I Am Taking My Bows ...

... and my curtain calls)) Here is from Maria herself, about West's elites and their edikeishn))

When I talk, ad nauseam, about these creeps being uneducated--this is not a figure of speech; whole Western "elite" and their "academe" in any serious field--from governance to military--would be considered failures in Russia. Practically whole (with some exception) "humanities" field in the West related to history, governance and economics is an academic fraud as are those Ph.Ds who abuse academic sinecures BSing their students who merely, upon graduation, boost already a shocking rate of intellectual decay in the combined West.

The Technology Of Sacrifice.

On the altar of "democracy" and globalism--a euphemism for being eaten by the US. Here is the excerpt from my latest book:

In December of 2019 the cost of $0.38 per kWh (kiloWatthour) of electricity for an average German household was the second highest in the world, after Bermuda. For comparison, the same kWh in the United States cost $0.14, and in Russia—$0.06. For businesses, Germany’s price for kWh was $0.23—the highest among developed nations, with the United States at $0.11. Russia was at $0.08; China was at $0.10. The conclusion thus is inevitable. Given that Germany has the highest energy costs in the world for a developed industrial economy the prospects for Germany’s survival as a totally independent competitive advanced economy look increasingly slim, once one considers not only Germany’s energy policy but that of the EU as a whole, which among competent industrial and energy professionals creates a sense of bewilderment.

It is 2021 now and Electric Rate website updated today (or yesterday) gives pretty much the same spread which looks like this:

Well, pretty much all of the EU is in this table (see the rest of it on the website) and, inevitably, the greener they will become less competitive (not that EU can produce a bargain anymore) and, thus, survivable they will be. The US, in this particular case, is having a moment of schadenfreude, because it still hasn't been completely "democratized" by democrats, and at this stage GOP being utterly corrupt and in the pockets of a big oil is a...good thing.  For now. Not that the US is far behind, but at least it has more resources to avoid going full blown "back to caves" mode and it is still--you die today, I--tomorrow. Strategically, the United States will be happy to see Germany depart as an economic power because that opens opportunities for the United States in Europe. From resources to commodities. Even under the most favorable conditions Germany's energy costs were enormous (both for population and businesses). But if we begin to look at a broader picture, which is a production of some key materials which are crucial for advanced manufacturing, we may stumble on Germany's by far not impressive position. Here is steel production:

Here is production of aluminum:

Once you begin to view things within the framework of physical economy, the trend of West's economic decline becomes visible. Here is another one:

And we can do this until hell freezes over while repeating meaningless mantras about Germany's "export-oriented economy", we have to understand that the times of the chimera of the Free Trade are over and appropriate adjustment of the economies is happening right now. For Western leaders brought up on the primarily Anglo-Saxon economic economic ideas--ideas generated by the sea-faring island nations insulated for the calamities of Continental politics, including catastrophic warfare--the awakening is going to be dramatic in terms of the levels of pain. And you should remember that for the last 7 years I am constantly on record--they are incompetent and cannot grasp the ideas behind main engines of a colossal geopolitical realignment and power re-balancing.  Sorry, they are just that ignorant.  Recall that:

Our Elites Couldn’t ‘Reset’ a Wall Outlet, Let Alone the Global Economy

I wrote on that issue not for once, including on reset. But I might as well say it straight why this is happening--office plankton cannot govern, period. It is especially incapable of governing in times of great change. The idea that some SOB Ph.D. in political science or law, who reads WSJ can have a grasp of a modern world is down right preposterous, as Western "academe" and political class prove it time after time, day after day. The West is run by a collective Fukuyama. And that is both the diagnosis and the indictment. EU is about to feel the heat, or, rather, lack of it and maybe reconcile itself to the idea that it is not what it thinks it is. As per US--there are certain benefits to the position of the superpower, but judging by the US political discourse those benefits will be squandered. No surprise here.

Wait A Minute!

Why distance oneself from Russiagate? No, this is not how it works.
The Slippery James Comey Gets Nailed. Twenty years ago, Bill Clinton gave us “it depends upon what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is.” James Comey has now given us it depends what the meaning of “vindicated” is. The former FBI director sat down with Chris Wallace of Fox News Sunday over the weekend, and it didn’t go well. Wallace repeatedly pressed Comey on critical findings in the Horowitz IG report, and Comey shimmied and dodged, in a master class in slipperiness and evasion.
Honestly, what a tool.  Get this:
Off the bat, Wallace juxtaposed Comey’s claim that the IG report was a vindication with Michael Horowitz’s congressional testimony that no one who had anything to do with the FBI’s handling of the investigation should feel vindicated. Hence, Comey’s posture, “Well, maybe it turns upon how we understand the word.” He relied repeatedly on such mincing distinctions. Questioned how he can square his past statement that the Steele dossier was “part of a broader mosaic of facts” supporting the Carter Page FISA application with Horowitz’s finding that it was “central and essential” in deciding to seek the FISA order, Comey said there was no contradiction. This is absurd. It’s true that the application literally had other things in it. But Comey’s “mosaic” characterization clearly minimized the role of the dossier, whereas the Horowitz report finds that the FISA application “relied entirely” on information from the Steele reports regarding Carter Page’s alleged coordination with the Russians. The report also notes that Justice Department officials “accepted the FBI’s decision to move forward with the application, based substantially on the Steele information.” As for the Steele dossier itself, Comey rejected Wallace’s statement that the FBI had concluded early in 2017 that it was “bunk.” According to Comey, “they didn’t conclude the reporting from Steele was bunk; they concluded there were significant questions about the reliability of some of the sub-source reporting.”
But the main issue here, of course, is the fact that, apart from his enormously damaging for putschists report, Horowitz testified to the cameras and it didn't go well for Dems, to put it mildly.
The Horowitz report also staggered the monster lurching across America, though it took a few days to absorb the blow of countless incriminating details in the fine print. UkraineGate maestro Adam Schiff went on TV Sunday to declare that he had been “unaware” of abuses in the FISA warrant process. Gee, ya think? We are left to wonder who exactly pulled the wool over his goggle-eyes. In fact, his self-unawareness extends to virtually every utterance flying out of his pie-hole since 2016. The IG report left the FBI and DOJ in such a shambles of criminal odor that it dispelled all the narrative curses conjured by sorcerers in the news media for three years running. And as everyone in the country knows now, the IG report is hardly the end of the story. Mr. Horowitz labored under — as they say — an extremely narrow purview that will not constrain the legal audit to come.
My issue here is that throughout all this slow murdering of a due process in the United States not a single low life from US media resigned in shame for promoting not only entirely false narrative but in admitting the responsibility for undermining whatever is left of the Republic and, most importantly, through sabotaging the office of POTUS, destroying Russian-American relations and unleashing a Cold War 2.0. The damage is already done and it is massive. Until criminal clans of Obama and Clinton are not purged from US body politics, until the Democratic Party is not purged of psychotic "progressives", but in the end, until the United States finds new elites, I don't see how badly damaged, leaking and listing ship of the American statehood can be righted up. I don't see it, period. Neither neo-liberal nor so called "progressive" models are valid--both of them, while sticking different labels on themselves and against each-other, are dead ends of civilization because they go against human nature and the fact that the world is on fire today is just one of many proofs of the systemic crisis and, eventually, a complete implosion down the road of the system which was imposed on the world in the wake of WW II. Current Western "elites" have zero chance of producing people of vision, honor, integrity and courage who can save Western Civilization.

"You Can't Handle The Truth"(c).

Yvonne Lorenzo sent me link to this and I decided to put it here too. First, Paris Dennard is an absolutely top class act in this instance--intelligent, eloquent and cultured. Secondly, the behavior of this Philip Mudd "top intelligence" dude of CIA-FBI fame, which can only be described in psychiatric terms--ranging from open hysteria to teenage desperation--is very indicative of the overall state of the American "elites". The off-the scale amount of pathos of this counter-terrorism "specialist" is an immediate indicator of a huge inferiority, human and professional, complex he has. The guy "can't handle the truth" and CNN sure as hell knows how to "choose" its "national (in)security" contributors.

Now, get this: obviously Deep State operatives such as former CIA big honcho in lie Brennan or this Mudd guy may not necessarily reflect on all, especially middle level, people working in national security complex--I am sure there are many top notch professionals and decent people in this bureaucratic behemoth--but they sure as hell reflect on a pathetic state of American political class, which, should it have been less homicidal, would have been a complete laughing stock. Wait, it is. Now to a more profound thing: this Philip Mudd guy has a graduate degree in... English Literature. Oh, I am sure he was taught in all kinds of "spy" schools along the way, but one is forced to ask the question--does anyone in their freaking mind still believe that you can grow and hone a top notch intelligence, forget real military, professional who in his formative years was a student of literature and didn't serve a freaking single day in uniform? Good luck with that, but don't be surprised with increasingly pathetic outcomes in terms of personnel. It is a sad exhibition on CNN but entirely not unexpected one. As many stated not for once--these people are not agreement-capable, precisely for the reasons of them not being able to handle the truth. Well, that, and being pompous ass-holes.

Strategy In Action.

Some seemingly unimportant news, which are, in reality, hugely important. Elites, how one grows elites--real ones: intellectual, knowledgeable, educated, having a scientific and realistic view of the world.  Russian girls' team took first place on 2018 European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad which was held Florence, Italy. The event is not exactly European per se, since American girls Catherine Wu and Wanlin Li (wink, wink) also took part and got their gold medals. Russian team, however got 4 gold medals and the first place (in Russian). One can see rankings, individual and team, on the official site of the Olympiad

What is encouraging about all that for Russians? The fact that these kids and their magnificent academic accomplishments are increasingly often hitting major news in Russia.

It is not merely the issue, however justified, of patriotism--it is the issue of upbringing the new generation. There is a direct link between highly educated population, especially in STEM, and highly developed nation. And by education I mean something completely different than what it became in US and Europe.
