A former employee of some serious US think-tanks and state bureaucracy, Mark Hackard, sent me an article on a very important topic and I gladly reproduce it here. You can read original at Mark's Blog. As well as get acquainted with Mark's background too. I do not like espionage, albeit professionally when you serve in military you deal both with intelligence and counter-intelligence matters directly. Obviously not on the level of what amounts to a highest level of state espionage, but close enough to know sometimes high level people--comes with the territory. So, here is Mark's excellent insight.
Over the past several years, the testimony of a previously
obscure Soviet defector has grown ever more potent as America unravels
into chaos. Should we trust him?
The late Yuri Bezmenov
(1939-1993), styled a man who turned his back on the KGB and a “fighter
against totalitarianism,” has gained exalted status among independent
media commentators and has even found currency in the mainstream.
Bezmenov, the son of a Red Army officer and trained in oriental
languages, was a journalist for the Soviet news agency Novosti
and scored a posting to India in the late 1960s. In 1970 he vanished
from the USSR embassy colony disguised as a hippy and made his way to
the West, where he would rail against the Soviet system, writing
pamphlets like Love Letter to America; No Novosti is Good News; World Thought Police; and Black is Beautiful, Communism is Not.
As a Soviet defector, Bezmenov was readily available to denounce Moscow
and the communist menace in Western media outlets. His shining moment,
now filtered through a multitude of memes and short clips on social
networks, was a 1984 interview with author G. Edward Griffin.
Bezmenov sold himself to his audience as a former KGB operative and
proclaimed that the Soviet Union was applying a Marxist strategy of
subversion to undermine the United States from within. It consisted of four stages:
Demoralization
Destabilization
Crisis
Normalization
Bezmenov’s analysis and prognostications have since been seized upon
by columnists and media personalities as proof of everything from a
cultural Marxist drive to take over America to a specifically Russian
plot with the same objective. He stars in a trailer for the video game Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War as a Cassandra warning of communist subversion. He has also featured in no less than the New York Times’ clumsy “Operation Infektion,” a 2018 video series informing us that Russian intelligence “hacked” the 2016 US presidential elections through disinformation operations.
Few, however, have called into question Bezmenov’s story and his
claims, most tellingly his supposed status within the KGB’s First Chief
Directorate (Foreign Intelligence). This biographical detail is what
made his story sensational, as the defection of a mere Soviet journalist
would hardly arouse much interest in the reading public. Yet that’s the
hard truth – Bezmenov never served in the KGB.
Yuri Bezmenov was never a KGB staff officer for the First Chief
Directorate or any other unit of the Soviet intelligence service. Nor
did he ever see the inside of School 101, where future intelligence officers trained, Lubyanka, or the KGB residency in India. Bezmenov was a low-ranking newsman for Novosti
who wrote propaganda, and after he switched sides, he plied the same
trade on behalf of the Western powers. The KGB may indeed have used him
as an informant – to keep an eye on contacts of interest – and for
participation in occasional “active measures,” disseminating Soviet
narratives and piecemeal disinformation to foreign media. Bezmenov’s
position would have allowed for such possibilities. While a certain
number of KGB officers would have worked undercover as journalists at
Novosti (not the inflated 75% Bezmenov gives), Bezmenov wasn’t one of them.[i]
Bezmenov was also never a wizard of Soviet psychological warfare – he had no entry to the KGB First Chief Directorate’s Service A
or the Communist Party’s Central Committee that oversaw its activities.
Nor did Bezmenov, self-identified expert on active measures, ever
mention Service A’s chief Maj. Gen. Ivan Agayants, or his successor Lt. Gen. Sergei Kondrashev.
He demonstrates zero understanding of the strategic purpose of real
active measures as practiced by the KGB. His supposed training in
tabletop wargames and interrogation would have been part of cursory
reserve officer mobilization courses mandatory for Soviet university
students throughout the Cold War, not a special program that made
Bezmenov a hardened expert in subversion. Indeed, the four-step process
of subversion he claimed as a covert Soviet strategy could be gleaned by
anyone well-versed in Sun Tzu and practical psychology. Further,
Bezmenov provides no evidence of Soviet infiltration of American culture
and institutions to advance a complex, globe-spanning campaign to
implode the United States, only coarse ideological invective.
What Bezmenov embodies in Cold War espionage history, in exaggerated
fashion, is the tendency of defectors to inflate their self-worth
through ever-wilder claims. Anatoly Golitsyn, an actual KGB officer who crossed the Iron Curtain a decade before Bezmenov, forged a similar path with tales of a “Monster Plot,” including a false Sino-Soviet split, to deceive America and leave her ripe for conquest. Golitsyn enjoyed the patronage of James Jesus Angleton, the CIA’s chief of counterintelligence, and his theories were popular among suspicious cold warriors throughout the West.
Today Bezmenov is clearly useful to US media and political elites,
and so his assertions of Soviet subversion are dusted off and given a
new lease on life. It’s much easier to ascribe the failure and
dysfunction of an entire political system to “Kremlin meddling,”
or an even older KGB plan just now being realized, than to shine light
on the predations of an oligarchic superclass that has misruled America
into civilizational breakdown. Anti-communism is a sure hit with the
right, and liberals are programmed into a newfound hatred of Russia;
each side is manipulated via dialectics in order to further obfuscate
the truth and obscure any viable resolution to real cultural, political
and economic challenges.
There very well may be a resurrected Bolshevist spirit of
subversion present in the current disorder, a phenomenon that infused
the Frankfurt School’s transvaluation of all values in the West. In our
twenty-first century that spirit animates neither communism, an
ideological corpse long-buried, nor the SVR, modern Russia’s
intelligence service. Rather, the ruling class itself, with its panoply
of media organs, multinationals, academia and government agencies, seems
possessed by a force spiraling towards destruction.
In the video game Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War, players, briefed by prophet Bezmenov on the Soviet threat to America, are able to choose three options for their character’s gender: male, female, and non-binary. Just who is subverting whom?
I believe this piece to be of an ultimate import because as I state for years, decades really, what America "knows" about USSR/Russia is primarily trash or what I call a "solzhenitsified" version of it, concocted primarily through Russian (Jewish) dissident circles who always had their own agenda and scores to settle and knew WHAT the other side wanted to hear from them. They created such a grotesque caricature of USSR and, recently, of Russia that I can only repeat Mark's closing question: who was subverting whom? Isn't it a valid question to ponder when contemplating today the fact that Russia, whose economy "was left in tatters", seems to be doing just fine and, in fact, somehow is not torn apart by political, ethnic, economic or cultural strife. Remember, to succeed one needs to be extremely well situationally aware, Sun Tzu anyone? I don't think US political top was aware of anything outside, as well as inside, US borders for a very long time. Mark's article is exactly about it. But then again, the reality is a difficult thing to face.
Not that we didn't know that Mitt Romney is an unprincipled power-hungry prostitute, but I like how this was phrased.
Basically, Judy Shelton views gold as it was always viewed prior to Nixon's 1971 "Gold Embargo" and other currency machinations which lead to the state of US economy which we all observe today. Mechanism of US financing its economy through US budget deficit was launched. US started to "tax" other nations and went from the economy of the "need" to the economy of the "want". Oh, it worked fine through 1990s until, as we all know, US decided to move her industries abroad and the rest is history. At this stage, anything which questions America's pure money "printing" is an anathema to America's "shareholders", many of who, frankly, do not give a damn if the US collapses tomorrow or exists as a viable state for a few years longer. As long, as they think, they have their fat accounts and real estate away from ANTIFA and BLM cultural enrichment they think they are fine. Hey, I just throw a shit here against the wall trying to see what sticks. Truth is, America which is tied to gold standard will find out really fast that most of her GDP is an inflated BS and will see her economy shrink catastrophically. This is why even mentioning of gold as a standard is a thought-crime in modern day America. Shelton learned it today a hard-way.
In related news, Obama released his memoirs recently (I didn't read them, nor am I intent to) and apart from complaining about Israelis basically running the US (nothing new here, really) foreign and domestic policies--Phil Giraldi gives a good overview at Unz (the site is down currently)--our friend Laurent Parodi directed my attention to another Obama's revelations and those are... pure gold.
Yes, we know. This is what one gets when the country chooses a lawyer by education and a community organizer by occupation as its President. I thought (at least I wanted to) that Obama's 2008 election was a watershed moment in the US history. It was a watershed moment, alright. Not the one I, as well as very many others, expected. By 2012 it was clear that Obama was a mediocrity and a feeble-minded figure-head, who not only wrecked Russian-American relations and laid down the foundation of the insanity which followed his caving in to neocons and interest groups in Syria and Ukraine, but he managed to damage the United States dramatically. By 2012 it was becoming increasingly clear that the guy was simply incompetent. Of course, you all remember his sacramental "Russia's economy is left in tatters". Now he parades his ignorance and frustration yet again, not understanding the nature of military power and its application. You say POTUS must have the understanding? No, the whole American political power class and even some fairly large segments of military do not have a grasp of what modern warfare against peer or near-peer is. This is not a theorem, it is an axiom, because the "power projection" is a euphemism for blowing shit somewhere. When and if the United States will decide to "project power" against Russia or China, then Obama should try again his definition of "superpower". Obviously, eight years in the White House taught him nothing. But then again, there are many US legislators whose ass developed a hardened uniform callus from abusing seats in both houses for decades--they also learned nothing. I am not being facetious, Senator Kennedy speaks for me.
Let's face it, US was and is being run by a bunch of morons, who do not know shit from shinola, and the whole world, with the exception of even stupider and cowardly Euro "elites", can see that. But then again, Obama is a Nobel Prize winner, what do I really know...
You know, Make America Fun Again. It is not coming back, tattooed, pierced everywhere, depressed and constantly high from whatever the chemical BS is being sold as "the next best thing" from alienation, there was a moment in 1980s as one commenter put it--America (West) World Fell In Love With. It is not there anymore and don't pay attention to beautiful girls and boys kissing--this too will soon become verboten. But while we can, let us enjoy when America was fun. Enjoy, before they take it down.
Jeffrey is an Exhibit A of the United States being ungovernable and he confirmed this just recently.
Four years after signing the now-infamous “Never Trump” letter
condemning then-presidential candidate Donald Trump as a danger to
America, retiring diplomat Jim Jeffrey is recommending that the incoming
Biden administration stick with Trump’s foreign policy in the Middle
East. But even as he praises the president’s support of what he
describes as a successful “realpolitik” approach to the region, he
acknowledges that his teamroutinely misled senior leaders about troop levels in Syria. “We
were always playing shell games to not make clear to our leadership how
many troops we had there,” Jeffrey said in an interview. The actual
number of troops in northeast Syria is “a lot more than” the roughly two
hundred troops Trump initially agreed to leave there in 2019.
You see, that is why the United States is non-agreement capable and that is why Russia simply doesn't take US political and the so called national (in)security establishment seriously. This establishment not only is actively involved in the sabotage of the remnants of the Republic, it actually lies and misleads (a more refined euphemism for lying) the POTUS. What is most remarkable--these people they never get punished or are held responsible for what amounts to... well, find the definition of this yourself. For Russians, the only parties with which any kind of professional communications are possible are US Armed Forces and, at some level, intelligence organizations, especially in terms of the ongoing exchange of information on terrorism. Any bloviation from the US "diplomats" on Realpolitk, such as Jeffrey's sheer delusions, can not be taken seriously and as I am on record all the time, they are so completely detached from reality "on the ground" that no amount of the geopolitical fluffy rhetoric and platitudes can obfuscate a simple fact of the US political top being completely disoriented. Not surprising at all--they lie to each-other non-stop. Jeffrey proved this, yet again, by having the audacity to parade US governance dysfunction and lack of professionalism as a virtue. Hey, what do I know, Jeffrey says:
Well, if Mr. Jeffrey says so, I guess it must be so. But this is precisely "great power policy", or whatever the chaos and corruption passes for it in D.C. which helped greatly to bankrupt the country and bring the United States to where it is today. It is not a good place, to put it mildly. But I am sure Mr. Jeffrey will find the way to spin even this disaster.
I know it may sound nauseating and arrogant, on my part obviously, but I have to point out to a conclusion I arrived to a long time ago, and I post here one of the more expanded versions of this conclusion which was written into my first book at around 2016-2017. It is from Introduction: America's Dangerous Narcissism.
This decline reflects the American failure to form a real nation, a process which, as paradoxical as it may sound, was prevented by a sequence of historic events in the 20th century, which turned the tables on American fortunes. As strange as it may sound, it was the continental warfare of WWII that the United States did not experience on its own soil, and the lack of experiencing any invasion by a peer foreign power, that failed to provide it with the historic glue, which was responsible to a large degree for the formation of modern nations. This may have played in favor of America’s post-WWII greatness, but it also bore the seeds of the American myth’s destruction with it. Those seeds, overlooked by a non-inquisitive American political and intellectual class in the 20th and 21st centuries, were pivotal in reinforcing stereotypes and clichés which, otherwise, they would have rejected as not having a solid grounding in real life.
Of course, the warnings and alarms were sounding for a long time, especially this one--nations, and their more general political iteration, a nation-state--are the main subjects of history since 1648. The United States is NOT a nation. It failed to coalesce into one, and now is having all paths to real nationhood being either blocked or sabotaged by political-media institutions. The United States is a country, a state, but it is not a nation. Is Americanism as a national feature defined in any way in any of the America's founding documents? Does the United States have an understanding of a huge difference between nationality, as in citizenship, and that of a nation as race, blood, ethnicity, phenotype, culture? No. US Representative Ilhan Omar maybe is an American politician but she is no American, despite being US citizen. She is of a Somalian and Yemeni ethnic origin, she is Muslim and while some of her politics may invoke a sympathy, most of it are of the extreme so called "left" which, such as "defund the police" or radical immigration policies, can hardly be considered nation-oriented, but then again what is American nation?
I am on record: remove primarily White Christian European-origin population of America, and the US is done as a country. It will balkanize and, eventually, turn into the collection of the territories some of which will be at war with each-other. This is precisely what is happening now in the US. Remove Western, European cultural heart from the United States and it stops being such. As an example, large constituencies of the Democratic Party vote for its representatives based on the "erase the Western past" of the US. The reason they do it not only because they hate the West as a whole. which they do, for all its genuine faults, but because their vision of America is not historically American. Of course, they know what America is, how it works but they do not like it and they identify themselves as "other" Americans. You, know, like school districts in Washington State who define mathematics as racist and view it as a tool of white oppression. Just as an example, Russians, both of White movement and Reds (bolsheviks) may have had a colossal differences on the political system of Russia, but everyone among them knew that Dmitri Ivanovich Mendeelev, great chemist and the father of Periodic Table of elements, was ethnically Russian (that means race: white Slav, ethnicity-blood--Russian, culturally Russian and religiously Russian Orthodox) and for all my hatred for Chemistry, me, being Russian, never thought about Mendeleev wanting to oppress me, or use both organic and inorganic chemistry as a tool for this oppression.
Of course, there are exceptions, here is Igor Hirak:
He served in the Soviet Army and was one of the people who were called "liquidators" at the Chernobyl nuclear power station in 1986. He is Russian. Yes, he is black, but culturally in all Igor's idiosyncrasies he is as Russian as they come.
So, as you can see, when related to race the issue of nationality becomes somewhat tricky, but both Igor and Russia's greatest and venerated, and beloved, poet Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, who was also black, they both are Russians. In fact, I am positive that Pushkin would be incensed if ever called African-Russian. He was Russian, period, and that is why this black guy is a father of the modern Russian language. You see, Igor, not to speak of Alexander Pushkin are Russia's patriots. They did what they did because they consider themselves Russians. It is complex, all right. But, but, Russia's Constitution is very specific about WHO, what nation holds Russia together. Igor is Russian first, and a black guy second, so was Pushkin. You see how it works? In the US, for minorities, it works exactly the other way around. Ilhan Omar, she is Somali American, African Americans are a significant part of the US population but most of them count themselves as African first and Americans second. Same applies to many Latinos, who are Latino first, and Americans-second. It is a conundrum, under such circumstances, stating that European core of American population is what makes America what it is, or, rather was. No way. One immediately will be accused of being a white supremacist.
Yet, America needs some kind of "national idea" and identity. So, Seth Kaplan doesn't waste the time and states that America needs nationalism. All right. What is American nationalism?
Well, it is all fine and dandy, but here is a trick, Spaniards slaughtered each-other in droves during Spanish Civil War, but be they Republicans or Franco's supporters, sometimes irreconcilable, one would know the Spaniard from Russian or Indian. Simple as that. But who is American? American balkanization was predicted long time ago. Cohesion comes from many things. Igor Hirak may be black, but in everything else, in his cultural affiliation he is Russian, he speaks clear and beautiful language, he comes across entirely as an average Russian guy. He is, but what about NFL black millionaires who identify themselves with anything but America? Kaplan states:
The U.S. built its national cohesion and strong sense of nationhood from
a number of time-tested sources—a common heritage, widely-accepted
institutions, education, rituals, and elite modeling. These elements
combined to forge the strong national identity and narrative that unite
us. But many of these sources are under stress—even attack—often from
within the body politic itself. The strains go back decades—starting in
the 1960s and 1970s—but have significantly accelerated since the end of
the Cold War and, in particular, the turn of the century.
Well, about "strong sense", Kaplan's piece is about being for everything good, and against everything bad. But well-intentioned mantras are not a substitute for realistic policies and courage required from elite to stop dissolution of the America. America doesn't have such elites. What she has is corrupt, both financially, intellectually and by lust for power, and mostly cowards. American social, humanities, academe is a laughing stock consisting of doctrine-mongers, slogans manufacturers and grievance-generators, who are an insult to scientific inquiry and real academe. The United States was in the reality detachment mode across the full spectrum of human and state activity for a while now. Kaplan writes about strength of American "institutions" one day before the whole corruption of the US election system was exposed. In this case, I can say only one thing from my first book:
What has to be understood at this point of time is the fact that the current United States is neither an actual nation-state nor can it continue to be considered to be Western in its many important manifestations. While the veracity of Scruton’s definition of Western Civilization can be debated, there is very little doubt that the American cultural dynamic is anything but Western. The vector is distinctly anti-Western and anti-European, or at least as it concerns what was traditionally regarded as European civilization. No nation has ever existed based strictly on an ideological and political creed—not even the Soviet Union. Blood, race, ethnicity and, as a result, common culture matter, in fact—they define the nation whether it has Republican system of governance or a fascist one, which are merely derivatives of cultures. Evidently, the lessons of the Soviet collapse have not been learned in the US, or in Europe, where the merits of liberal dogma are wrongly accepted as a main reason for their alleged Cold War “victory”. The dangerous and manifest divisions in the US today are more than just differences of political opinion, they are a symptom of a serious illness. A large part of those divisions originates in a substantial segment of the American population seeing no value in American real, not perceived, liberties.
It is either understood and heeded or the dissolution of the American, already barely alive, nationhood will continue. I do agree with Kaplan on one thing: the nation which refuses to venerate George Washington has no future, nor deserves one.
Truth is, it doesn't matter who wins in the United States' circus, aka presidential elections, because, as I am on the record for a long time, the final result will be within the same realm of outcomes ranging from utter collapse and wide-spread violence to simply protracted, and accelerating, decline and slow dissolution into the Orwellian reality. Acquaintance of mine sent me today some essay, which already circulates in Russian media-sphere, called: A Message to Russian Expats Living in the US. It contains passages such as this:
Colleagues, I want to address you.Face it: the America you came to is dying. A great civilization
is getting its last, euthanasia shot. Do not count on the fact that “the Republicans control
the Senate, they will not allow anything to be done”. They will allow. And
if the election was stolen from Trump now, then stealing two Senate seats in
Georgia with Biden as president-elect is clearly an achievable task. You have invested years of work, tens (if not hundreds) of
thousands of dollars, and endured serial stress in order to gain a foothold in
a new place. This is worthy of respect. Admitting that the best thing you can
do for yourself (and more importantly, for your children) is to leave again is
very, very painful. However, what is now whispering in your head, that “it’s
not so bad”, and that “America will return”, is still your sunk
cost fallacy, not rationale.
And, of course, goes into the race relations with statements like this:
Your children will be on their knees, and will write letters of
apology for being white, like how American nuclear scientists from Sandia Labs
write letters of apology to blacks.
If those children have been brought up in the modern American "cultural" tradition, especially on the campuses of modern American universities studying useless pseudo-scientific BS in "humanities", absolutely--those children will kneel and prostrate themselves, which would indicate that they are not really Russian children, brought up without any Russian cultural input and in this sense they are one step away from Eurowussies, who surrendered their countries to the hordes of barbarians without putting up a fight. In fact, there is very little difference between urban population in Western Europe and in the US, the larger the American city is, the more emasculated its white male population. Luckily, even despite the fact of GOP being a bunch of unprincipled cowards, even my uber-liberal acquaintances stated that people who elected (yet, again) a flaming "socialist" bat-shit crazy Kshama Sawant, who makes even retarded Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan look reasonable, totally deserved what is coming to them. Same goes to people of Portland, or, for that matter, the whole state of California--a first American state qualifying for the genuine third world shithole.
So, while this pathos-driven essay (or manifesto) to Russian Americans is cute, truth is--the decline of America on the institutional level has been predicted long time ago, and I just want, yet again, to remind you my 6-year old conclusion which led me to writing my books:
In fact, I was on this topic since roughly 2007-08 when it became, after Putin's famous Munich speech, and Russia disposing of the Georgia's Army in less than 5 days in August 2008, patently clear that the whole thing was basically the house of cards ranging from economy to military, to social issues. Now we all saw how institutions collapse. I voted for Trump in the state (Washington) where his chances to win are as remote as for me to become Chinese, but the main reason we voted was to reject this:
As you can see, Seattle (King County) is a hot bed for sexual perverts and pedophiles who think that sexually "educating" a kindergarten child is admissible. So is a Jefferson County, known for an extreme concentration of former hippies and alternatively gifted, primarily on the other plane, people around Port Townsend. As you can see rural Washington, especially Eastern Washington, a state and region's granary rejected this insanity. This is also, where real America survives, the country of deplorables. It is also the America which is is heavily armed and we do not know what will be the responses in coming months but America which I and my family came to has been gone for at least 15 years and my task was to document how nation was committing suicide using prescriptions of the American oligarchy which played its hand really well offering majority of America a faux-choice between shitty and down right disastrous. Remarkably, the only thing Trump got right was decoupling from China, but for NYC real estate shyster it was execution of the plan which sucked pretty badly and I am sure they are smiling in Bejing expecting the charade with vote-counting be over soon and then welcome Democratic Administration which would pursue same set of policies of financing Chinese economy through negative trade balance. Recall this:
This is really important, because this is exactly what (if they push it through) the Biden, I mean Harris, I mean HRC's, administration will pursue again, while increasing the pitch of anti-Russian hysteria and making sure Euro cucks are in line. Well, Democratic foreign policy "establishment" is an exhibit A of highly illiterate and unprofessional people, so the whole thing will be a big mess with Russia. Not that Trump's Admin was any better, with the lunatics of the scale of Pompeo or Billingslea--it is just a whole process of American "elites" being increasingly dumb. So, no matter who comes to "power" in the US it changes only the mode of decline, it doesn't change a fact that nothing could be done about it within utterly corrupt and dysfunctional framework of America's political discourse and a real data (not some garbage of US economic "statistics" or polls) speaks volumes about America's shrinking real economy and sociopaths, if not outright psychopaths, constituting America's ruling class, no matter party affiliation. In the end, look at the title of my upcoming book--it says it all. I warned everyone years ago:
This process is relatively non-violent for now, but the attack on American Europeanism, due to sometimes justified historic grievances and present inequalities, only grows in intensity. The new race- and gender-based agenda and grievances culture has slowly but surely displaced an old left whose main focus were jobs and wages
for the majority of working Americans, be they white, black or any other race
or gender. The old left is gone today, being supplanted with what Steve Sailer
calls the “Democrats’ coalition of fringes”—a combination of interest groups,
also known as social justice warriors, associated with the Democratic Party and
vying for resources and influence in shaping the future of the United States.
It is a profoundly depressing outcome for anyone who came to appreciate and
treasure the best that American culture offered in the past—most of it European
in origin. But the so-called establishment conservatives in the US are in no
position to be critical—they were the ones who conflated American patriotism,
often justified, with a culturally and economically debilitating militarism.
They were also the ones who continue to push ahead with a destructive
neo-liberal globalist economic agenda. And the ones who controlled American
corporations and off-shored them, depleting American manufacturing, and thereby unions and jobs. ... Against such a background, it is difficult to see how this trust and mutual respect can be restored. US elites have simply stopped producing any truly competent people; the US stopped producing real statesmen, not just politicians, even earlier. When experts fail, as they failed America, not least due to many of them not being real experts at all, actors, comedians, sportsmen, conspiracy theorists and demagogues from the mass-media take their place.
So, there is nothing truly unexpected with what happens to the United States now, since the silhouettes of America's future were seen by many who had their heads out of their own asses for years. America is a radically divided country which failed to coalesce into genuine nation and that was a recipe for disaster from the get go. Today it is a territory populated with a variety of people who have nothing in common culturally, economically or metaphysically and American "elites" demonstrated this fully. The America as we knew it is no more and many understand that. When enough people will grasp this fact, then there could be some small chance on rearranging whatever will be left in the United States into some form of a functional state. I don't hold my breath, though. I am a simple man, I just want to get to my beloved Cascades and further, into Rockies, stopping in the small towns in Idaho, Montana or Eastern Washington, sipping on my coffee at some diner, and contemplating the beauty of the nature and of people, who are a disappearing breed still found in the rural America, over my chicken fried steak. Life doesn't stop, it never does and it will continue on even after we are all gone. We just need to make sure that no life-ending event occurs, thus making possible for a generation of normal people to emerge at some point of time in the future. Last question: do I believe that there were illegal votes and bulletins' dumping? Absolutely, but it doesn't matter since in four years Trump did nothing, except tweeting and parading himself in media, to save his (and ours) country. So, good riddance, let democrats now finish off whatever is left of it. Believe me, they will wreck it big time and GOP will help them.
