I do not disagree with Tucker and PJW on the possibility of a hot war with Russia by Biden's regime in order to stay in power. I also agree on the uniparty thesis. 

But here is the fallacy in terms of practical implementation of this "plan" by cabal. Remarkably I already quoted this today. Even illiterate hack such as late Richard Pipes got it:

America has tended to rely on its industry to protect it from aggressors, and on its unique industrial capacity to help crush its enemies once war was underway. The United States is accustomed to waging wars on its own choosing and on its own terms. This approach to warfare has had a number of consequences. The United States wants to win its wars quickly and with the smallest losses in American lives… Extreme reliance on a technological superiority, characteristic of U.S. warfare, is the obverse side of America’s extreme sensitivity to its own casualties; so is indifference to the casualties inflicted on the enemy.

It goes without saying that unlike late 1970s when Pipes wrote his BS piece, today the US has no industry capable of wartime footing while conventional war with Russia will see American losses the likes it never experienced in her history. I am talking, of course, not about SMO format, I am talking about the real war. And here lies practical problem for implementation of the dictatorship by Washington. US Army cannot sustain about 5-10 thousand KIAs s week, neither can American society. And I am talking about lower end of estimates. Colonel Wilkerson talks about 40,000 US casualties in such a war in the first week of hostilities. 

US as a nation is not set up for fighting a real combined arms war. NO Washington regime will be able to sustain about 100 to 200 thousand US Army KIAs and about the same number of sanitary losses in the first couple of months of fighting, not to mention a bulk of the USAF and ground forces hardware being annihilated. 

But for dictatorship to endure one has to have a solid war achievements, otherwise you get the repetition of General Galtieri and the collapse of Junta. And I am not even talking about such horrible and very highly likely events (God forbid) as sinking of couple of US Navy's CBGs. And that is going to happen in case of such a war. Not to mention the fact that US proper is defenseless against Russian cruise missiles. US, in this case, will have no choice but to escalate to nuclear threshold and that means that no US neocon and their family survives. Same goes to those American "patriots" who would exercise their desire to kill them some Rooskies. I am on record--US population has zero knowledge of real war. 

If we all avoid a nuclear confrontation which the US will initiate when the first thousands of KIAs begin to arrive to the US within first few weeks, US has no resources to fight such a war and that means that even if Biden and his puppeteers succeed in starting such a war with Russia (with what?) and usurp power, this coup wouldn't be able to last for too long. In the end, consider this news from two weeks ago:

The head of a top Russian shipbuilder revealed Monday that work is underway to arm some of Russia's most troubling guided-missile submarines with Zircon hypersonic weapons. Following the fielding of the weapon aboard a Russian navy frigate, "multi-purpose nuclear submarines of the Yasen-M project will also be equipped with the Zircon missile system," Alexei Rakhmanov, general director of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, told the state-run RIA news agency, confirming certain long-standing expectations. He added that "work in this direction is already underway." Russia's Yasen-class nuclear-powered cruise-missile submarines are quiet, difficult to track, heavily armed, and able to conduct attacks against land- and sea-based targets. The first sub of the class, the Severodvinsk, was commissioned late in 2013 following decades of design, development, and construction that started during the Cold War.

So, in case of such a war even Junta will have tough time explaining to American people what happened to the White House and Capitol among many other crucial US buildings (Pentagon anyone) in a sense where did they go once 3M22 will arrive in salvos and then 3M14M and X-101 follow. Yes, it will be a very tough political time, but something tells me that, while possible, such a war will actually end the uniparty, not least through many of its members being physically annihilated, and what happens next--who knows. I don't think that overwhelming majority of Americans, even if brainwashed by propaganda, would like to live without electricity, heat, AC, water and with food shortages. But that IS what conventional war with Russia will mean for the US. Russia can turn US grid and power generation off if she will decide to do so and, certainly, this is a contingency most in Washington cannot wrap their brains around. As I say--they have no tool kit for that. Simple as that. I hope they wouldn't want to find out, most of them are cowards and spoiled wussies who would run like cowards do once the real deal begins. So, how does repetition of Vietnam times 100 looks like?

Now, you understand why I say that American higher education ranging from economics, to history, to anthropology, to political "science" to foreign relations is done, it is over, it is not an education but different manifestations of a proverbial Orwellian Newspeak. Larry On Military-Industrial-Congressional Complex Before Midterms. Germany And Diesel...

Larry continues to review one very important book ( I need to read it too) on US defense "industry" and comes to the conclusion:

Politics and defense spending are intertwined in ways that most people do not appreciate. I gained some insight into the corruption of this process thanks to my neighbor (when I lived in one of the Washington, DC suburbs). My former neighbor is 15 years younger than me and owns the largest defense lobbying firm in Washington, DC. His job entailed signing up major and minor manufacturers of weapons and military equipment. They paid him hefty monthly fees. In turn, my neighbor–let’s call him “Mr. D”–would wine and dine key members of the House of Representatives and the Senate. He was the man the legislators wanted to see because he could host “dinners” that raised money that was poured in turn to the bank accounts of those members of Congress. Buying influence in Washington is a multi-million dollar business that generates billions for the Defense Industry and has inflicted misery, suffering and death on millions of foreigners. I am afraid that tomorrow’s election in the United States will not alter the defense incest that dominates Washington, DC. The corrupt system will have to be broken by an outside force. What worries me is that the United States, in a moment of hubris, will find itself in a war with Russia or China and will discover the hard way that the expensive weapon systems will fail or be destroyed quickly on the battlefield. Like an alcoholic at the end of his ropes, the system must hit bottom and admit the addiction. Only then is reform possible.  

I agree completely. I also do not think midterms will change much in this respect, but as always--the logic of the events and circumstances sometimes is even stronger than corruption and greed. We'll see what tomorrow brings. Or (I stole it from comments from PJW's excellent video), as they say: My father has been a life long Republican until he died. Then he voted Democrat.(c) LOL)). But the primary reason is the cutoff of Russian imports. Prior to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the U.S. was importing nearly 700,000 barrels per day (BPD) of petroleum and petroleum products. Most of those imports were finished products and refinery inputs that boosted distillate supplies in the U.S. The loss of those Russian imports have caused problems for refineries as they struggle to fill holes in their product slates. Refineries do have a small amount of flexibility in shifting gasoline production to diesel production. But it’s a relatively small amount (e.g., ~5% in a refinery I once worked in). That also means that if refiners do shift production, that also potentially creates shortages in the gasoline market. Some relief is on the way, as some diesel imports are on the way from Europe to the East Coast. But, the distillate market won’t likely return to normal before next summer at the earliest.

Indeed, Russian perfidy knows no bounds. To convince the US to cut off Russian imports--what a plan, what a plan...

On Wunderwaffe Thinking, Again. And Some Other Items.

As I was pretty much from the git go on record--the time frame of SMO was only a secondary consideration relative to political objectives of SMO, which are a destruction of the present Ukrainian terrorist state with as much saving of human life as possible. Generally that is why it is called SMO (Special Military Operation), because should it have been a real war we would see Kiev's center pretty much flattened, political "elite" of 404 exterminated and we would see much higher civilian casualties. This is not the case at all. As Shoigu today stated, again, the slowing of the offensive operations is a deliberate measure aimed at minimization of civilian casualties (in Russian). Many armchair generals wouldn't like the numbers of allowed civilian casualties in case of a real war, especially when taking such cities as Mariupol or Nikolaev, which is coming next.

Sadly, not all political observers understood this and other operational realities of SMO, with some of them going even as far as suggesting that Russia has to wrap SMO up as fast as possible in order not to leave combined West any opportunity to "escalate" and provide enough armaments to VSU to counter SMO. As life has shown, as it is almost always the case--Russian General Staff knew better. I also warned, since 2014 actually, that combined West doesn't have material and technological means of fighting Russia in Eastern Europe without losing catastrophically. Western weapons turned out to be nothing more than commercial items not designed to fight the modern war, plus--no Western economy, including the United States has the capability to produce them in needed quantities anyway. Not even close. 

So, in a bizarre twist of a geopolitical roller-coaster, it is almost expedient for Russia to drag it as long as possible, because the longer SMO continues now, the deeper and more desperate combined West becomes because of the realities of its largely fictional economy. Not to mention the fact that no Western weapon system can do anything to change outcome of SMO which is obvious to anyone with a half-brain. In another Wunderwaffe news, the US now sends Ukraine some NASAMS air defense complexes (in Russian), and as you have guessed already, these complexes traditionally, as everything before them, be that Holy Javelins, Stingers, M777, HIMARS etc., are also described as "game-changers", wundetwaffe and equalizers of chances. It is expected from the Western "experts", who, obviously, are stuck in the propaganda reels of the First Gulf War, that not only those complexes are DOA, but they are nothing more than AIM-120 AMRAAM missile stuck into the ground based container, tied into the "distributed" radar network and... well, that's about it. 

The latest version of the NASAMS based on the AMRAAM ER (Extended Range) missile allegedly has a 50 kilometer range, while previous version has 30 kilometer range and in general, this is a system designed primarily for fighting backward air forces and low "weight" missile salvos. What version is being delivered to Ukraine I don't know, but I don't think that the US will be too happy to see AMRAAM ER ending up in one of the research institutes in Russia and that will happen with 100% certainty, as was the case with all other "super-pooper" weapons the US sent to Ukraine, including this vaunted (rather, unimpressive against serious AD) HIMARS which is now being studied by Russia. And then, of course, there is this issue of ECM and no Western system with radar homing ever encountered a serious jamming. Not to mention the fact, that modern tactical and operational manuals on Air Defense are being rewritten by Russia and the US has no access to that data arrays, only superficially observing SMO from the afar. But that is a separate topic altogether. 

Meanwhile the boy from Paris, warns:

France is headed toward the “end of abundance” and “sacrifices” have to be made during what is a time of great upheaval, President Emmanuel Macron told his cabinet on Wednesday upon returning from summer break. The country has faced multiple challenges lately, ranging from the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine to the unprecedented drought that has battered the whole European continent this summer. Yet, Macron believes that the crisis is actually of a much bigger scale and that structural changes are imminent. “Some could see our destiny as being to constantly manage crises or emergencies. I believe that we are living through a tipping point or great upheaval. Firstly, because we are living through... what could seem like the end of abundance,” he said. The country and its citizens must be ready to make “sacrifices” to meet and overcome the challenges they are facing, he continued. “Our system based on freedom in which we have become used to living, when we need to defend it sometimes that can entail making sacrifices,” Macron added. 

Hey, he got that right. Obviously, it will not be him who will be making "sacrifices", but French voted for that, and, frankly, I am getting a little bit tired from listening to these constant excuses that, no, we didn't vote for him (her), or the elections "were stolen", etc. Can we stop this charade? You vote the way you fight the war--you win, by a landslide. If people didn't vote for Biden (OK, let's assume that some voter fraud did take place), Macron or BoJo, how come they run their respective countries? Even considering some voting irregularities and incessant propaganda of the respective partizan media. No, by mere law of large numbers, Biden had a support of a huge portion of the US electorate. Macron was re-elected by French. So, can we stop this whining? It is, in the end, not just corruption of the whole election process, but of the population which continues to vote for own demise. Sorry, friends, but that's how to cookie crumbles. Russians elected Yeltsin, twice, even considering the obvious manipulation of election results in 1996. Russians paid the price. In the end, it is all about national unity in seeing problems. 

How about this "unity"?  

Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor-Greene awoke on Wednesday morning to armed police outside her Georgia house. The individual who called the police to Greene’s home claimed to be upset about her opposition to child sex changes and admitted to wanting to “swat” her, a term referring to the practice of summoning the police against a target under false pretense. According to a report by police in the town of Rome, Georgia, officers received a call shortly after 1am by an individual who told them that a man had been shot in a bathtub at the congresswoman’s address. The caller added that there was a woman and potentially children inside the home.

This is not the issue of elections, it is the issue of serious mental illness of the combined West as a whole, and the signs of it are everywhere. I loved PJW's great eye for detail. You say, do not use the broad brush? I say, nothing wrong with using it now. 

And here is the issue--that sets the US a little bit apart from, in this particular case, UK. US still retains its guns and a culture of a manliness.

That is why I am always on record: while the United States itself faces a huge upheaval and even disintegration, a strong undercurrent of a classic, meaning normal, human values exists here. This may play its crucial role down the road. And yes, we have our guns to defend our homes in case the law and order breaks down. Europe, meanwhile, is encapsulated in this single photo of a father using own daughter to protect himself--this is the level of instincts, my friends, and the instincts are appalling, as is a society which promotes such "values". Defending a child is more than just matter of love, it is biological, deep inside our DNA. No wonder those types of people are the ones who vote for human trash, cowards, narcissists and psychopaths.
