US commanders ignored warnings before approving strike that hit Iranian school: Report. On the first day of the Iran war, a U.S. missile destroyed an unlikely target: a school for girls. Nearly 200 children and adults died. More than four months later, a new report claims that senior U.S. military commanders approved the target after disregarding warnings that intelligence about the site was years out of date. The allegation came in a CNN report this week about the Feb. 28 strike that hit Shajareh Tayyebeh Elementary School in Minab. The school sat next to an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps facility that the U.S. military was attacking. U.S. officials neither confirmed nor denied CNN’s reporting, although a White House official told the network that the investigation is continuing. “The United States does not target civilians,” CNN quoted the official as saying.

Well, the last statement is a wowser. I am sure this "official" was saying this with a straight face. I guess Belgrade TV station was swarming with "military" in 1999, or that executing civilian Vietnamese, Iraqis or Afghans are the facts from the parallel universe and have nothing to do with our reality, on this planet, where the US managed to kill through its wars ... 

The most severe of the US’ acts of aggression have resulted in some 13-23 million deaths in at least 28 nations. Direct US military actions in at least 16 countries have caused around 7-13 million deaths. US-supported or -instigated armed conflicts in 19 countries have led to some 6-10 million deaths. There are countries where the US has engaged both directly in combat and indirectly through active military support. These figures still do not include casualties from all the governments the US has supported militarily in their domestic conflicts against supposed insurgents and other political opposition. Many tens of thousands more have been killed by client states with US support and using US-funded and -supplied war materiel, such as in the Philippines.

For a military, which never defended its own country it is rather an "impressive" statistics. 

In other news, saved Sophia is now in safety in Russia and can start rebuilding her life. 

Maybe get back some of her lost childhood taken from her due to help from the most "moral" military which "does not target civilians". 

If They Ask ...

Here is one of the cluster munitions hits people (nobody, luckily, was killed). This should be used at the Sandhurst and  USMA at West Point as an example of a "real" war. 

Patrushev Out--Shoigu In.

Belousov will become Defense Minister, Shoigu becomes the Secretary of Security Council instead of Patrushev. Shoigu, however, moves to his new position retaining much (and getting even more) of responsibilities he had as Defense Minister--as the head of the Commission on Military-Industrial Complex, plus he will be in charge of weapons' trade (in Russian). Here are some details:

According to Spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Putin opted to assign a “civilian” to lead the Defense Ministry, citing the necessity for the agency to embrace innovation and progressive concepts. Peskov further mentioned that Shoigu, in his capacity as secretary of the Security Council, will serve as the president’s deputy within the commission on the military-industrial complex. The Kremlin’s spokesman added that Valery Gerasimov, the head of the General Staff of the Defense Ministry, will remain in his current role. Peskov noted that it will be revealed in the coming days who Nikolai Patrushev’s successor will be after his departure from the position of Security Council secretary.

Belousov is an "executioner" who will mop up whatever is left in Defense Ministry in terms of its apparatus corruption and streamlining many of the decisions in terms of everyday operations. This also has to do, methinks, with Timur Ivanov's and his network of economic criminals (and possibly foreign intel assets) who used SMO for their own interests. Nothing will change in terms of General Staff, that is people who run SMO. 

Meanwhile, this is how "military targets" look like for NATO--civilian apartment blocks--in Belgorod.

This is the only thing they know how to do in war--attack civilians. One of the issues which makes them so butthurt--Russian Forces are extremely cautious in terms of civilians in 404, hence an incredibly low count of civilian casualties in 404. Certainly, nothing even close to genocide by fake Israeli Army which is good only at "offensives" against women and children. I am sure they will teach Israeli "combat experience" at West Point as a way to "fight" the war.

Modus Operandi.

It is no different from what Israel does in Gaza. 

The shelling by Ukraine of the Russian city of Donetsk on Sunday, which claimed the lives of at least 25 civilians and wounded 20 others, was “a barbaric terrorist act” carried out with the support of the West, Russia’s Foreign Ministry has said. Sunday's bombardment of a busy market in the capital of Russia’s Donetsk People’s Republic was inflicted with weapons supplied to Kiev by the US and its allies, the ministry said in a statement. “This again confirms [the West’s] direct involvement in the conflict and makes it complicit in the criminal acts of the Zelensky regime, which has once again displayed its inhumanity and hatred towards innocent people,” it said. “The West’s unrestrained desire to inflict a ‘strategic defeat’ on Russia through the hands of their Ukrainian puppets, whom it is eager to support mindlessly and without limit, is pushing the Kiev regime to increasingly reckless steps, including acts of terrorism, massive violations of international humanitarian law, and war crimes,” the ministry added.

As I state non-stop from the start of SMO, what was revealed about NATO militaries and the media class which serves them is an absolute disregard to civilians and living vicariously trough VSU in their desire to kill Russians. If those are civilians who get murdered--it is fine with them. So, there is nothing to discuss here, only to continue to annihilate NATO's remaining hardware and stooges. It is their MO, always was. Speaking of which--women could be very cruel, women in VSU who get to the front line are extremely "motivated" (a euphemism for fanatics) and they should be treated in battle as combatants, meaning killed (in Russian). 

Terrorism and diversions will continue on Russian territory for a while--it is inevitable in the war of this scale and it is clear that FSB and MVD have their hands full, especially when dealing with a group of people who are exactly like Russians, from appearance to language, and who could be working on behalf of SBU, GUR and their curators from MI6 or CIA. This is the only instrument they have at their disposal--terrorism and assassinations are a part of it. Now, about this 90,000 personnel NATO maneuvers:

BRUSSELS, Jan 18 (Reuters) - NATO is launching its largest exercise since the Cold War, rehearsing how U.S. troops could reinforce European allies in countries bordering Russia and on the alliance's eastern flank if a conflict were to flare up with a "near-peer" adversary. Some 90,000 troops are due to join the Steadfast Defender 2024 drills that will run through May, the alliance's top commander Chris Cavoli said on Thursday.

It is nothing but posturing in a desperate attempt to produce an impression, primarily for domestic consumption. Militarily NATO is a joke and in case of facing "near-peer", Russia I assume, C4ISR of the whole NATO will be disrupted within first 48 to 72 hours. Once you lose Command and Control the outcome is known. 90,000 personnel is not that impressive, especially considering the size of Russian Armed Forces and increasingly unachievable by NATO levels of combat training and TOE which make any Pentagon general salivate. Nah, they should concentrate on "studying" how Patton "fought" his war--that'll teach them how to fight. You know, strategery.

 ... the former Foreign Minister of Austria (she lives in Russia today, mostly) speaks at 57:00 in video about the fact that attacks on Russian civilians are inspired by NATO countries. The video has English subtitles when watched on UTube. 

She states known fact, but she is a person of status and that is why this is important. Killing civilians is what NATO does best, it cannot fight real war, but killing civilians is their modus operandi and we observe it right now both in attacks on Russia and genocide in Gaza. That's what they do best.
