Violent protests have erupted in Serbia’s breakaway region of Kosovo and abroad after a Hague-based special tribunal convicted former politician and paramilitary commander Hashim Thaci of war crimes. In its ruling on Wednesday, the tribunal sentenced Thaci, a commander of the ethnic Albanian Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), to 25 years in prison for the murder of 96 people and the torture of around 300 others during the group’s fight for the region’s independence from Serbia in the late 1990s.

They didn't get their 30 pieces of silver, they started something which none of them, including the arrogant bosses from Washington, could foresee. Yevgeniy Primakov's plane on the way to D.C. 180 degrees over Atlantic with the commencement of NATO's atrocity against Yugoslavia on March 24, 1999 was the start of a process we observe today--a historic defeat of the combined West, headed by the United States and its exposure as a paper tiger. I remember the anti-Serbian hysteria of pedophiliac and perverted French media and their so called "intellectuals" that time. Everybody knows about the role of Vatican and German Catholic minority played both in the disintegration of Yugoslavia and the rape of Serbia. What followed after is for Serbs to sort out. So, throwing Thaci into jail is not a consolation. It is a pathetic attempt by Europe to cover its ugly ass which also serves as Europe's ugly face.

AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - The Dutch city of The Hague on Thursday said it would ask for a temporary exemption of EU sanctions against Russia, as it struggles to find a replacement for its contract with Russian gas supplier Gazprom in time. Sanctions imposed by the European Union against Russia following its invasion of Ukraine order governments and other public bodies to end existing contracts with Russian companies by October 10.

For The Hague, this means it has to find a new supplier of gas to replace its existing agreement with Gazprom.The city said it held an EU-wide tender in June and July, but failed to attract any bids from potential suppliers.
