Joe Kent Doesn't Understand ...

... the subject matter--expected from a guy whose "knowledge" of Russia is that of, indeed, warrant officer who never saw anything beyond counterinsurgency (yes, he tragically lost his wife to suicide bomber) and degree in "strategic studies and defense analysis" ONLINE from Norwich University, that is the degree mill for NCO level guys from special forces. 

The gap becomes immediately obvious. Same one-liners, same platitudes which distinguish US military-intel personnel whose ideas about war and warfare are that of the expeditionary force whose main task is regime change in third world shitholes. You cannot bridge this gap, especially when clueless Joe Kent speaks about "Putin". 

I Have News ...

 ... for Joe Kent. 

Prayers are not going to help. De-AIPACization and 25th Amendment may. But don't count on it. Moreover, the guy still thinks that it was the US which ... defeated ISIS. Sure ... delusion and delirium are becoming America's main diagnosis.

You can see already then his delusions about American military power and of his own intellectual abilities in matters of warfare and applied geopolitics. Today, these delusions came to a head. But as I state ad nauseam--the US doesn't have real strategists of global repute at all. Self-promotion through the American media and PR machine is a completely different matter, but it doesn't make grilled chuck roast taste like a USDA Prime ribeye, and anybody can taste the difference.

Now, here is the issue through personal observations, and many will not like what I am about to say. Since the resignation of Joe Kent from his position I listened enough of his statements, including during conversations with Tucker, to come to a final conclusion that people at the top still cannot comprehend the depth of the US historic departure from the position it never in reality occupied. It has never been a great land power, period. It was good, while it was fighting in coalitions, but that's about it. Joe Kent, for all his personal courage and some pedigree against enemies which can hardly fight back, continues to reside in this alternative universe that, let me put it in the most simple way--"yeah, we are not that good today, but we used to be and if the right people come ... ", I hope you get the message. That's the attitude, and that's delusion. 

It doesn't mean that the US military has no competent or courageous professionals, absolutely not. I will continue to repeat it. There are many people of honor, integrity and courage, but they are of the mythology and ethos which really doesn't reflect realities of the continental warfare and Joe Kent in a sense is an Exhibit A of this attitude, especially considering his CIA paramilitary background which limits one's views on real warfare. Especially continental one. This cannot be changed, because overall American views on war break down the moment US military faces an actual continental power. Iraq is not and never was a real continental power, Iran always was, give and take 100 years long hiatus for Pahlavi's reign. The Iran-Iraq War should have been a warning to the US, but it wasn't. And now we have a former CIA para telling us that the US military-industrial-congressional-media (and executive) complex knows nothing about world outside? Whose fault it is then? I guess we know the answer, even when the right words are spoken. 

US cannot defend Gulf. It cannot defend itself and the widening gap cannot be closed.

 ... it is NOT "the beginning of the end". Let me remind you when the real beginning started. 

And allow me to quote myself from more than 11 years ago. 

I observed for decades now a consistent pattern of the wrong assessments, loony strategies and deliberate misrepresentation (lies?) of facts coming from the top of US establishment, which since 1991 lives in the make-believe world built by the triumphalists. It is difficult to explain to the average Joe that Baseball World Series, or Superbowl "World Champions" have no relation to the World and are purely internal American affairs. That there is a huge wide world outside  and that it lives and moves not in accordance to the American narrative. Explaining to American "elite" the fact that US didn't "win" the WW II, that "winning" the Cold War came about because Soviet people simply decided to end it, that Wall Street "economy" has no relation to real economy and that real wars produce misery and destruction on a scale which is incomprehensible for the "populace" of the Washington D.C. "strategists", it is not just difficult--it is next to impossible. So, the events must run the course. But it is already clear that by failing to achieve any sensible political objectives in Ukraine and in Russia, and, by this, starting a massive global re-alignment, the United States sustained a defeat. What will be the consequences of this defeat? I hate to speculate, I just know that they are already big and that the moment of facing the reality is coming. My suggestion to those who are still making decisions--open and start reading  War And Peace by Leo Tolstoy. I don't hold my breath, though. The moment US handlers of their Kiev puppets conceived that Ukrainian Army can "win" in Donbass, the stopwatch started.  

That was the beginning. Today, it is (not could be) a final exposure of the US as a military paper tiger capable only fighting weak, backward enemies. And still managing to lose. Real war is a damn serious business--last people in the US who understood that have been people the scale of Dwight Eisenhower and George Marshall, they are not with us anymore. Iran just proved it. SMO continues and the crime against humanity of killing off millions of Ukrainian troops by throwing them against the concrete wall of Russian Armed Forces is squarely on the shoulders of combined West and its incompetent and arrogant militaries and intel services.
