Didn't Trump Say Today ...
... that Putin agreed to stop strikes on 404 "cities" and "power" for a week? For some reason Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Sumy oblasts and others didn't reap the benefits of Trump's "request".
What is going on (wink, wink)?
An Interesting Question.
It arose with the discussion in previous post in regards to this:
Lavrov To Turkish TV ...
... and the world at large.
European politicians demonstrate their "pettiness", not even bothering to argue accusations against Russia. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an interview with the Turkish media. Lavrov recalled that the problem of the Ukrainian conflict lies not in the territorial issue, but in the Nazi regime that wants to exterminate everything Russian. Ukraine is a pawn, a tool of the West, which it uses to create direct threats to Russia's security, the minister said. In this regard, according to him, there are big questions for UN Secretary-General António Guterres because of his position on Ukraine.
Read the whole thing. About ceasefire--not acceptable, etc. Per Trump asking Putin to stop striking "Kiev and other cities in 404". He can ask whatever he wants but parameters for any kind of ceasefire are well defined by Russia. This is how one of the thermal power plants in Kiev looks today.
In SMO news. Russian Armed Forces continue to perfect RUK/ROK contour and Zala provides now full automatic target acquisition (when needed).
Discussions between Moscow and New Delhi on manufacturing Sukhoi Su-57 aircraft in India are at an advanced stage, the head of a Russian aircraft giant has told TASS. The aircraft is actively employed in the Russian operation against Ukraine and is being prepared for expanded export deliveries. Negotiations for the supply and production of the Su-57 fighter jet in the South Asian nation are at a “deep technical stage,” Vadim Badekha, CEO of Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), told TASS on the sidelines of the Wings India aviation exhibition in the southern city of Hyderabad. “Such contracts, given our experience, determine the trajectory of our cooperation for several decades to come,” Badekha stated. He added that the talks revolve around “the production of the Su-57 aircraft in India at the facilities currently used to produce the Su-30 aircraft, and the maximum use of Indian industry and Indian systems in this aircraft.”
There is a lot going on in this sphere between India and Russia and I cannot stress enough the technical complexity of launching one's both combat and commercial aviation industry. It is a long, protracted process but this path has to be walked if the nation wants to be a true technological power. India understands this. And in conclusion, Larry's thorough piece on US-Iran scenarios. Highly recommended.

Capability Surprise?
Really? Why contracts with India on IL-114 and SSJ-100 are a shock to global aerospace industry and a lesson to China.
From 404.
A rather interesting (has been confirmed to be legit) footage of the 404 SU-25 with some cottage industry gadgets meeting R-37 from Russian VKS.
Russian comment over video is just a mocking message to whatever air force 404 has left: Do Not Romanticize the Profession of a Pilot. It doesn't matter how they try to fly--in this case very low--they are seen and firing solution is there. R-37 doesn't care--it has the range of up to 400 km and hypersonic speed.

You Are Not Yourself When You Are Hungry.
It was reported that:
Two Russian women are facing deportation from the US after they allegedly took a wrong turn and accidentally drove onto the territory of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in California, the Russian Embassy has confirmed. According to Russian media reports, the two friends, Kristina and Natasha from Samara, were on a road trip in the United States last week. While driving near San Diego, they grew hungry and used a navigation app to find the nearest McDonald’s. The GPS directed them onto a route that led them directly onto the military base.
You are not yourself when you are hungry.

Of Course, It Is Too Late ...
... but better late than never. Plus, I have news for this moron--even with the US, if God forbid it comes to this--NATO will not be able to "defend" against Russia, because Russians will not be moving ground forces first. They will simply decapitate NATO's military-political top.
NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte warned European leaders that they need the U.S. in order to defend themselves, comments that come as tensions between the U.S. and Europe have escalated amid President Donald Trump’s push to acquire Greenland. "If anyone thinks here again that the European Union, or Europe as a whole, can defend itself without the U.S., keep on dreaming. You can’t. We can’t. We need each other," Rutte said Monday in Brussels to the European Parliament.

Do Russians Love Blues?
Really? Blues and its derivates shaped several generations of Russians. Russians love blues. But, things changed in Russia. MTV is dead, most of rap "artists" are the "art" for thugs (that was the directive for music executives--to impose thug and cretin culture on US white teenagers). But, Russians retained their folk culture and they have this girl who absolutely kills it. And suddenly, all those cameras focus on the real beauty and talent, instead of the ... well, you know what I mean.

He participated in the defense of Leningrad and went through the war path to Victory, showing courage and heroism, which were marked by high state awards. In addition, Khomenko was an active participant in the Canadian Association of World War II Veterans from the USSR.

When Cope Harder Phrase ...
... fully applies))
US wins against Russian and Chinese air defenses in other countries risk teaching the wrong lessons. US forces that executed a raid in Venezuela to capture its now-former leader walked away with no aircraft lost to the country's Russian-made air-defense systems and Chinese-made radars. In the aftermath, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said that it "seems those Russian air defenses didn't quite work so well, did they?" He didn't elaborate any further, but in briefings, the top US general spoke about how US forces dismantled and destroyed enemy air defenses. While the US can draw a certain degree of confidence in its capabilities from the success of the mission, there's a risk of reading too much into that success, especially when it comes to weapons made by American rivals in the hands of other militaries. Some of the failures of the Venezuelan-operated foreign air defenses, for example, have been attributed to issues like inactivity, incompetence, and a dearth of functional cohesion between different systems.
Some? You mean Venezuelan military being corrupt and bought out and thus disabling air defense? WOW! There is a reason why Russia was wrapping up her presence in Venezuela in a duration of the last five years or so. I know, many people from Latin America are afraid of facing reality, but it was exposed in Venezuela and how it gladly sold its President to the US. Moreover, Pete Hegseth with his basic education in "Politics", whatever that means, and ROTC (a euphemism for pseudo-military "training") wouldn't know a first thing about Air Defense, nor will understand it due to a complete lack of an academic and experience tool kit for that.
Having said all that, people with a much broader (still amateurish) grasp of technological realities in Pentagon (yes, there are still some there) put their input into the 2026 National Defense Strategy and tacitly admitted what I was warning about for the last almost two decades.
Russia will remain a persistent but manageable threat to NATO’s eastern members for the foreseeable future. Indeed, although Russia suffers from a variety of demographic and economic difficulties, its ongoing war in Ukraine shows that it still retains deep reservoirs of military and industrial power. Russia has also shown that it has the national resolve required to sustain a protracted war in its near abroad. In addition, although the Russian military threat is primarily focused on Eastern Europe, Russia also possesses the world’s largest nuclear arsenal, which it continues to modernize and diversify, as well as undersea, space, and cyber capabilities that it could employ against the U.S. Homeland.
But even here, the atrocious level of incompetence in the US military and intel circles shines through:
Fortunately, our NATO allies are substantially more powerful than Russia—it is not even close. Germany’s economy alone dwarfs that of Russia.
You cannot fix stupid and that is why US loses all of its wars and will continue to do so because it learns nothing and American military institutions do not provide advanced military education for the XXI century other than Hollywood mode representation of the warfare. So, they cope, they lie to themselves, they lie to the world because they have no guts to admit that the "finest fighting force in history" would crumble in real war within a few weeks and will immediately escalate to the nuclear threshold. I know, it hurts. But today, in Russia, it is a Day of General Staff.

Yes, This Was Called ...
... NVP (Начальная Военная Подготовка--Initial Military Training) in Soviet schools and yes, we were taken to ranges to shoot live munitions. Apart from studying all kinds of other military shit. Girls were studying tactical medicine and also were allowed to shoot.
Russian youngsters as young as 12 are now required to participate in drone and firearms training during school hours. This Kremlin initiative is being interpreted as a stark indication that Vladimir Putin remains committed to prolonged military conflict.
And no, it is not a "stark indication"--it is a return to normalcy in the nation whose military history dwarfs anything there is in the world. It is also a return to what many Americans (with the exception of urban metrosexuals) instinctively know--boys need to grow into men and defenders. Here is how it looked like in Soviet times.
Since the 1980s, America’s world ranking in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) has declined, placing our once unquestioned supremacy in technological innovation and application on par with or behind those of our economic and military adversaries. A recent warning from the Office of the Secretary of Defense Acquisition and Sustainment Industrial Policy declared the paucity of STEM-educated Americans may lead to a “permanent national security deficit.” The lack of STEM education extends to Army officers. In 2018, the Army Strategy assessed the strategic environment to include partners, allies, and adversaries leveraging “advanced capabilities” such as cyber, counter space, electronic warfare, robotics, and artificial intelligence (AI). This assessment has proven true in the Russia-Ukraine War, an artillery-heavy war interwoven with the burgeoning development and implementation of new and evolving technologies that demand innovative thinking, alliances, and strategy informed by STEM+Management (STEM+M)
There is ALREADY "permanent national security deficit", that is why Pentagon, CIA et al have difficulties grasping what is happening. Difficult to make a sense of capabilities when you have majored in English Literature, Journalism or Business from University of Phoenix. That gets us into this funny territory of System of Systems, because nations and their militaries are exactly that.

ABU DHABI, January 23. /TASS/. Several European countries really want Kyiv to achieve an "energy truce" at a meeting of the trilateral working group with Russia and the United States in Abu Dhabi. This was stated by a TASS source.
Reaction from Russia.
More:
Europe IS 404.
I don't understand these "terms" used by journos. Backlash.
Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky is facing severe backlash from key international partners after a combative speech at Davos, where he went on a tirade accusing Europe of “indecisiveness” toward Russia and insufficient support for his country. The backlash comes as Zelensky’s popularity in the West is already on a downward spiral over his constant criticism of Kiev’s European backers while demanding billions in support – while Ukraine continues to struggle with high-level corruption scandals and a dire military situation. The reactions to his speech at the World Economic Forum from European capitals were swift. Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani called it “unfair to Europe,” telling Corriere della Sera that the continent has “guaranteed Ukraine’s independence” through immense political, financial, and military support.
This is not a backlash--these are impotent European cowards and war criminals getting insulted by their equal. Europe is new 404. But shaking the air and producing some verbiage is not a backlash. Let me demonstrate what backlash is. This is Kiev.
MOSCOW, January 23 — RIA Novosti. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko invited residents of the capital to spend the night in heating points or leave the city. He is quoted by the publication "Strana.ua". "Kyiv has identified strongholds of heating (invincibility) in each district of the city. A large number of people will be able to stay overnight in them, if necessary," the publication says.
At this point of time, Kiev lost 90% of power generation, Russia finishes off thermal power plant in 404--there IS NO comeback from it. With it comes the end of 404 as a state. There is also a clue to what trilateral "talks" are--Russian delegation there, in UAE, is headed by the chief of G(R)U and is military only in its composition. Get a hint. My video today is about it.

This Is A New Trend ...
... in 404--they love to expose themselves as pitiful suffering people, and I agree--not having the ability to take a shit in comfortable warm restroom is hard. But ... this is just the beginning.
Now, multiply this Morgraten Battle by a factor of ... maybe a thousand and look at the map of Russia's heartland--no Alps, no any other natural defenses. So, for thousand years Russians have been fighting non-stop invaders from the East, from the South and, yes, the West. Result was always the same--invaders and their empires got crushed and the traitors executed. Russians are done playing this BS, especially with Europe, and if the price of 404 treason includes, among many, this schedule of provision of electricity in 404:

So, Europe finally has arrived to the status of what I was talking about for many years--decomposing corpse of once great civilization and utter military impotence. COFM is a cruel bitch, it doesn't care how you look like or what kind of pseudo-military show you put on. Here is a demonstration.

Norway Wants To Fight Russia))
You gotta love this))
Norwegians told to prepare for wartime property seizures. Military warns citizens that it may have to requisition homes and vehicles if war breaks out with Russia.
So, how's that democracy going in Europe, eh? Mighty Norway wants to fight Russia. Hey, Glenn Diesen, may I suggest more pseudo-military shysters like Karaganov or Ted Postol on your show. There is a lot of infogypsies who believe that NATO will exist 30 minutes after Russia decides to really finish it off. But then again, judging by the "level" of NATO militaries they are good only for photo ops. I will abstain here commenting on BS Ted Postol, who wouldn't be allowed anywhere near with his "Ph.D" in physics to teach even as a junior lecturer in Bauman's MGTU (not that he knows anything about it, or in MIT), spews about Oreshnik, but here is my good friend Colonel Vladimir Trukhan (he held clearances CIA amateurs can only dream about), apart from other common friends of ours (accidently, Ph.Ds and senior officers including from RVSN, not that Postol and his curators know anything about it) explaining in Russian about Oreshnik.

Acqua is, probably, going to have a field day. But let me tell you--never put Burger King near your theaters. Russian ballet dudes know this rule))
The Problem With This ...
... otherwise astute observation is that you cannot explain some "historian" or dude from CIA what the cultural incoherence is. USSR collapsed because of Russians trying to get all those fringes out of the middle ages, with the exception of Baltics who understood that their whores are cheaper than whores from Poland let alone Germany. Other than that--good luck to France, Germany and Belgium resisting Sharia--most Euro "intellectuals" will convert to Islam anyway, because the only thing they dream about is a young pussy. Don't look at me, here is the guy who nailed it (after stealing the plot from Elena Chudinova).
I Love Where Joseph ...
... goes with this, but as I stated many times before--Colonel Douglas Macgregor should go to Podolsk to see the real archives on WW II and not propaganda he was fed by his Bundeswehr curators who committed unspeakable crimes and then hid them behind propaganda. If his son, to his greatest credit, can grasp it--good.
For Reference.
This is the picture of the deficit of power generation in 404. It is for today. Currently the average time any 404 resident remains without power is around 16.5 hours. That's average.
Something Like This.
Many begin to grasp the situation, Trump's escapades notwithstanding.
I speak about this and much more here:
Why This Video ...
... is a sentence to US military. In general, and it is one of many--the pattern is the same. Always the same.
Patriot PAC3 deploys. It is detected, taken on by RUK (Recon-Strike Complex), Iskander arrives. Not a single movement, not a single launch of AD missile. Not because it is inactive, because it is the system (the best NATO has) for the war of 1980s and 1990s against backward countries with military technology of 1960s.
Ramifications are enormous for the US, including the US Navy which always prided itself on Aegis and SM-6 missile as the best AD in the world--it is not even close. Salvo Model is cruel, you can cheat it on paper, in real life--you are dead. I speak about it in my today's video, especially against the background of Defiant-class "battleship" which became now a butt of the jokes even among US professionals. The critical admission by the US Navy that this white elephant will be using "existing systems" is everything you need to know about historic shift in naval war paradigm and, as the result, in the global balance of power.

In Related News, I Was Busy ...
... yesterday and didn't have time to read about this loser. But lo and behold, the moment I got up in the morning--here it is, a typical French hot air.
French President Emmanuel Macron vowed a “united and coordinated” response after his US counterpart Donald Trump threatened eight European NATO nations with tariffs for opposing his campaign to acquire Greenland. The tariffs, announced by Trump on Saturday, target Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Finland. They are set to take effect on February 1 at 10% and rise to 25% in June, remaining in place until a “complete and total purchase” of the Danish autonomous territory is achieved. “France is committed to the sovereignty and independence of nations, in Europe and elsewhere,” Macron wrote on X. “No intimidation or threat will influence us – neither in Ukraine, nor in Greenland, nor anywhere else in the world.”
Putting aside Trump's intentions (and there is a lot to be said about those, read Larry's latest on Trump) and main engine behind his policy formulations, Stephen Miller, one thing remains absolutely clear. Europe is impotent and for anyone who thinks that France or anyone else in Europe will not be influenced by intimidation--I have a bridge to sell you. Cash only. Hearing this protestations from cowardly European vassals whose modus of existence was very simple in the last 60 years--milk the US for the "defense" from the ephemeral Soviet military threat, while milking USSR for energy, the main foundation of the vaunted European prosperity and "socialism" is rich--the time is up.
It is a karmic historical justice here--the continent which gave us, apart from incredible achievements in culture, sciences, arts, industry and even humanism, evidently forgot that if not for its ambition and pugnacity mixed with imperialism, we may not have had, among recent events, two world wars which slaughtered in excess of 80 million people and spread misery globally. Rephrasing Huntington--West (original West) forgets it, the rest of the world does not. For French, moreover, the bright historic spots of Charles de Gaulle, Free French or Normandie Niemen, are just that--a two century long slide into infamy and national oblivion. So, when some pervert who French elected twice talks about not "being intimidated", I have news for French people as well as Europeans in general--you wanted it, you voted for that, because you cannot teach the old dog new tricks. Europe will surrender with the same speed it did when Hitler decided that it is time. Britain loved "peace in our time" show, while it lasted for a very short time.
and this:
The 1st Infantry Regiment of the French Republican Guard (Garde Républicaine) in a joint exercise with the 1st Infantry Battalion (1er BCP) and the 12th Cuirassier Regiment (12e RC) of the French Armed Forces, 2026. Don't show this to US Marines or any serious US Army formation. Per Russians, they sustained losses due to hernias after Homeric laughter while observing this "joint exercise". French, evidently, have a penchant for self-humiliation. So, they WILL be intimidated together with the rest of Europe because it is only natural for civilization which committed an act of self-immolation while laughing doing it. Good riddance.
