... what happened in Venezuela with Maduro. This is Monroe Doctrine 2.0. Here is the demonstration.
It is by Katie Miller.
Denmark on Sunday made its displeasure known after the wife of one of President Trump's most influential aides posted a social media picture of Greenland painted in the colors of the United States flag.Katie Miller — wife of Mr. Trump's deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller — put the contentiously altered image of the Danish autonomous territory on her X feed late Saturday, hours after the U.S. military operation against Venezuela. Her post had a single word above it: "SOON." Denmark's ambassador to the U.S., Jesper Moeller Soerensen, reacted on Sunday with his own post saying "we expect full respect for the territorial integrity" of Denmark, above a link to Katie Miller's image.
This is your brave new world of which I write now for more than 11 years. The flurry of statements followed kidnapping (yes, the US cannot fight ground war, period) of Maduro and ... none of those matter, especially originating from Latin America. What always mattered, matters and will matter is power. Larch correctly pointed out that in effect this whole Maduro affair is a testimony to US military weakness post-Vietnam with extreme sensitivity to own losses. So, bribing officials and military of third world hellholes and special forces operations aka "regime change" is the extent of it.
Meanwhile, Denmark should worry since Greenland becomes the next target, a very easy one. But it has to be understood that in case of Iran the only "war" the US can conduct there, again, are some special forces on the ground and hurling stand-off weapons at whatever the target they will deem valuable. US is incapable of conducting the combined arms operations of scale. Plus, in Latin America there are too many people in high places who are eager to offer their services to their North American overlords. That's multipolar world.
Now get a load of this. Geraniums with Igla.
