... as much as many of us love and adore Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky, Shostakovitch, Rimsky-Korsakov or Khachaturian, or Rachmaninov (good God, now that I started listing some of them--Russians love music, that's for sure), one of them probably is stand alone inventor of heavy metal and warfare music. Of course, I am talking about Prokofiev.
Let alone this piece:
Sadly, many still do not appreciate the late Soviet period (Prokofiev was a consummate Soviet composer too) with some of the most incredible pieces of music and cinematography. Andrei Petrov once wrote a music to a movie... and it became a masterpiece--both movie and soundtrack.
But then again, who in the completely insulated and brainwashed West heard of Rybnikov? Go at it, it is a funny Monday today...
So, in conclusion Prokofiev again.
So, I am done for today.
