 US commanders know only how to launch. 

US commanders ignored warnings before approving strike that hit Iranian school: Report. On the first day of the Iran war, a U.S. missile destroyed an unlikely target: a school for girls. Nearly 200 children and adults died. More than four months later, a new report claims that senior U.S. military commanders approved the target after disregarding warnings that intelligence about the site was years out of date. The allegation came in a CNN report this week about the Feb. 28 strike that hit Shajareh Tayyebeh Elementary School in Minab. The school sat next to an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps facility that the U.S. military was attacking. U.S. officials neither confirmed nor denied CNN’s reporting, although a White House official told the network that the investigation is continuing. “The United States does not target civilians,” CNN quoted the official as saying.

Well, the last statement is a wowser. I am sure this "official" was saying this with a straight face. I guess Belgrade TV station was swarming with "military" in 1999, or that executing civilian Vietnamese, Iraqis or Afghans are the facts from the parallel universe and have nothing to do with our reality, on this planet, where the US managed to kill through its wars ... 

The most severe of the US’ acts of aggression have resulted in some 13-23 million deaths in at least 28 nations. Direct US military actions in at least 16 countries have caused around 7-13 million deaths. US-supported or -instigated armed conflicts in 19 countries have led to some 6-10 million deaths. There are countries where the US has engaged both directly in combat and indirectly through active military support. These figures still do not include casualties from all the governments the US has supported militarily in their domestic conflicts against supposed insurgents and other political opposition. Many tens of thousands more have been killed by client states with US support and using US-funded and -supplied war materiel, such as in the Philippines.

For a military, which never defended its own country it is rather an "impressive" statistics. 

In other news, saved Sophia is now in safety in Russia and can start rebuilding her life. 

Maybe get back some of her lost childhood taken from her due to help from the most "moral" military which "does not target civilians".

Two can play the game, as I said earlier. Per US "air defense"--as I write and speak non-stop for more than 15 years, US military's ideas about modern war are from 1990s, and so is TOE. 

A Bit More On Mach Velocities ...

... and NATO (and 404) air defense systems. Before, though. Keep in mind that Patriot PAC3 main missiles used in 404 are MIM-104 D/E and possibly MIM-104F--the most advanced missile Patriot has whose velocity, unlike it is the case with MIM-104 D/E is "unknown", but in reality is the same as for MIM-104 D/E which is Mach=3.5. Mach=3.5 translates into roughly 1.2 kilometers per second and it is critical to understand why this news is absolutely astounding. Here is a famous (granted imprecise) graphics with capabilities comparison. 

We also know that S-400's long range missile 40N6E is capable of shooting down targets with the velocities of M=14, which would imply ballistic targets, while aerodynamic M=3.5 such as said MIM-104F represent pretty standard target for S-300 and C-400 family. What IS the REAL, not export variant and fanboys' "data" velocities for both 40N6E (1, 2, 3 etc.) and 48N6 which would be the culprits in shooting down Patriot's missiles, it is M=5.9 and above. How much exactly? Way above. Here is a scheme of probable deployment of S-400s at the front. 

Add here A-50s and their coverage of the front and you will get the idea of how this all happens. Keep in mind that the distance of the deployed S-300s and S-400s from the line of the combat contact is around 50 (give and take) kilometers. 

Recall how both S-300s and S-400s wiped the remnants of the 404 Air Force off the skies while allowing Russian Air Force operate safely at the echelons which provide a necessary altitude for the use of increasingly long-range FABs with UMPKs while operating even within the possible ranges of detection and firing of Patriot PAC3s. But in the end, apart from this impact, reality for the crème de la crème of NATO's AD is very sad--the moment any of those Patriots, SAMP-Ts or Iris with NASAMS turn on their radar--that's pretty much it for them, but a completely different algorithm of search kicks in and those ADs do not live long even if they managed to launch and escape (for now). Remember probability density?

The last remaining NATO AD complexes, like this IRIS-T a few days back, being wiped out and AAA remaining the only option for utterly destroyed NATO and 404 AD system. I wonder, if those operational quantum computers Vladimir Putin talked about three days ago have a "hand" in SMO? Hm, something tells me they do have, a big one and you know, Russians do not like to use their models in Garbage In--Garbage Out (GIGO) mode. That's why Russians win wars. Per breaking encryption and using quantum computational (immense) capabilities for geopolitical forecasting? You can bet your ass on that being done. 

Italy Must Oblige...

No matter what Italy does, and her ridiculous proposals for being a "mediator" between Russia and 404 have been flatly rejected by Russia, she will remain the US lap-dog and will do as ordered. As la Repubblica reports:

Washington chiama Roma: "Mandate a Kiev lo scudo anti-missile”. Il consigliere per la sicurezza nazionale Sullivan telefona a Palazzo Chigi e sollecita l'approvazione del sesto decreto di aiuti militari. 

Translation: Washington calls Rome: "Send the anti-missile shield to Kiev". National security adviser Sullivan telephones Palazzo Chigi and requests the approval of the sixth military aid decree.

Sullivan wants Rome to send SAMP/T air-defense complexes to 404. Well, SAMP/T is an Aster missile family complex which in its tactical characteristics is somewhat similar to Patriot PAC2/3, with a slightly shorter range but with a fully vertical start, and demands to Rome to send it are just another manifestation of the US reluctance to satisfy mom's basement dwelling community of military porn masturbators to see further NATO technology being obliterated in 404 by Russia. But the trend on increasing NATO involvement by supply of what passes for "top of the line" technology in NATO is obvious and the US continues to exert pressure on its NATO vassals "to do something". 

To demonstrate the way brainwashed Western public is "engaged" in the narrative, here is one of many fanboys' "military analysis" UTube channels which states this: 

This fits very well with my long-standing contention that the field of ANY military analysis anywhere, Russia including, has been completely hollowed out by military and geopolitical illiteracy and pure "monetization" greed. That applies top-bottom. That is why it becomes difficult sometimes to point out pretty evident to any attentive observer things which are the real drivers and impetuses behind one or another action of Washington. 

Here, we come back to Gorshkov's deployment which, of course, serves as a PR action too, which in military circles means Demonstration of Flag. But even in Russia, the sixth column (per Saker's definition) begins to rear its ugly head and begins to sing beaten to death false song about... and you may have guessed it--targeting. Obviously, this song is heard from quarters of old farts who long ago lost any touch with modern technology and the way contemporary targeting systems and data fusion and probabilistic analysis are done in modern Combat Informational Control Systems. Not to mention the fact that Liana has large enough constellation to provide both signint and active radar and optical picture for Russian Navy, and I don't even talk about over-the-horizon capabilities of such things as "navalized" RLK 34K1 Monolit on Gorshkov-class, which has full both active (250 km under super-refraction and natural wave-guide) and passive (400 km) over-the-horizon capability. 

But this is what happens to people, who graduated Nakhimov's naval academy in Sevastopol in mid-1970s, having experience only with already then obsolete AD complex Volna, and not having any experience with gaining steam computerization of the Soviet Navy and then almost immediately "transferred" to "serve" in the Black Sea Fleet's newspaper "The Flag of the Motherland" and doing so became Captain of the 1st Rank. No wonder, people like that continue to repeat outdated baloney (in Russian), especially in the sixth column rag. Yet, here we are. This will continue because military "journalism" is a sort of mental illness which cannot be addressed until people study the subject thoroughly and have enough moral fortitude to beat back the temptation of false hype, which, sadly, nowadays often translates in money and 15 minutes of fame. Warhol was prescient about that.

First Pion Is In Orbit Now.

Space based recon and targeting Liana finally gets its active radar and imaging constellation (passive Lotos satellites are already in orbit) of Pion-NKS into the final stretch with the launch of KOSMOS-2550 on 25 June 2021. 

A long-delayed spacecraft believed to be capable of guiding Russian Navy missiles to their targets reached orbit. The liftoff of a Soyuz-2-1b rocket with the Pion-NKS radar-carrying satellite took place as scheduled on June 25, 2021, at 22:50 Moscow Time (3:50 p.m. EDT) from Plesetsk Cosmodrome, north of Moscow.

There is one detail, however, which needs to be explained to laymen--Liana does not "guide" missiles. Missiles are guided by onboard inertial navigation system and correct their path using a wide variety of means from GLONASS to celestial navigation means, to, in case of land attack missiles by means of TERCOM and DSMAC. Liana provides the most important service: it detects the target(s) and "issues" coordinates (targeting data) which allows the guidance of the salvo to the accurate targets' vicinity in which missiles are capable to detect (refined search--dorazvedka) and lock on the target(s) with their seekers, whatever those might be ranging from radar to optronic or mixed. Targeting is the most important thing and Liana is capable to deliver it already, once all Pions are in orbit, well we may only speculate how much territory they will cover but those will undoubtedly be the most important theaters of operations of US and NATO navies. I guess training of TU-22M3s and MiG-31Ks at Khmeimim base has a lot to do with Liana finally coming online in full force. Recall that X-32 has a range of 1000+ kilometers while Kinzhal has a range of 2000 kilometers etc. You know, Mediterranean and all. Recall this from three years ago:

I guess simple middle-school compass and decent map will do in giving an idea that approaching Western Europe for any vessel will be an ordeal with very high probability of a tragic outcome. Any "flank" port facilities in Mediterranean and Baltic Sea become a complete exclusion zones, thus leaving only West-most extremities of French and Dutch port facilities tentatively (well, mostly theoretically) available for any kind of supply of this hypothetical US force which will be deployed in Europe to fight those aggressive Russkies. So, in this case, the title of the article is correct. One is also forced to appreciate Russian base at Khmeimim and the role it may (will) play in shutting down approaches to France and Portugal. Just as a reminder, the distance between Akrotiri AB and...well, let's put it this way--it is not going to last long. The question in this case which matters most is--because conventional campaign in Europe against Russia is unwinnable, when will the US in this scenario decide to use nuclear weapons as the last resort? We may only guess...
