Türkiye will seek to join the BRICS group of nations and intends to bring up the issue at an upcoming meeting of the economic bloc’s foreign-ministers in Russia, Ankara's chief diplomat Hakan Fidan announced on Tuesday. Speaking to reporters while on a three-day visit to China, Fidan stated that Türkiye has long been waiting to become a member of the European Union, but has for years faced opposition from some of that bloc’s members. In this context, Ankara is now considering BRICS as an alternative platform for integration, the minister explained. ”We cannot ignore the fact that BRICS, as an important cooperation platform, offers some other countries a good alternative,” Fidan said, noting that while the group still has “a long way to go,” Ankara sees the “potential in BRICS.”

Turkiye today is pretty much her own thing and, no matter how "westernized", will never share the so called European "values", not to mention the fact of EU market losing purchasing power while Eurasian market gaining it. Turkiye also is very closely economically tied to Russia in critical fields such as energy and increasingly through military technology. Turks are not stupid, they observe the "performance" of NATO weaponry in SMO. These are tectonic shifts:

Moscow has welcomed Ankara’s interest in joining BRICS. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has stated that the topic of Türkiye’s membership in the group will be featured on the agenda of next week’s summit, which this year is being chaired by Russia.  

Turkiye fits, however, into the overall integrationist trend of BRICS and she will be a welcome addition. Consider also the real economic sector of Turks is very large and, as an example, in terms of steel production Turks outproduce every single EU nation (some of them combined) with the temporary exception of Germany with which Turkiye has a rough parity. Turkish tomatoes and building contractors are omnipresent on Russian market, plus Turkiye is a huge vacation spot for Russian tourists. So, there you go.  G-7 is not really a G-7, at best it is G-3, in reality it is G-2. 

Meanwhile NATO's buffoon in chief states the obvious.

The level of Russia’s weapons and ammunition production since the start of the conflict with Ukraine has surpassed NATO’s expectations, the secretary general of the US-led military bloc has acknowledged. Speaking to Sky News on Monday, Jens Stoltenberg was asked to comment on a study released last month by the consulting firm Bain & Company, which revealed that Moscow was generating artillery shells at more than three times the rate of all NATO members combined. “It’s correct that Russia has been able to build up their defense industry faster than we expected, and it’s correct that NATO allies have spent more time than they should in ramping up our production,” Stoltenberg replied.

No, fool, it was already there to start with, with key industries being returned to Russia's control as early as 2012-13, in reality the process started earlier. But ignorance is expected from economic BSers from combined West. Next thing you know, Goldman Sachs will advise on the design of NATO's Air Defense system and hedge funds will issue field manuals on brigade and divisional level EW. Good God, what a loser.

No Shit, Genius! Stoltenberg Has A Epiphany.

It is difficult to explain to them: 

Ukraine’s failure to breach Russian lines for the last year demonstrates that NATO should “never underestimate Russia,” the bloc’s secretary-general Jens Stoltenberg told reporters on Monday. 

The whole academic and political system in the West is BUILT to underestimate Russia by means of non-stop self-aggrandizing which creates nausea among normal cultured people be them in Russia or in the West. The whole "elite" education system in the West is one non-stop perpetuator of delusion of grandeur and informational GIGO. Militarily, combined West is a reflection of its best army, which also happened to be the loser against Russians. This is Wehrmacht and different other Third Reich military security services who shaped modern West militarily.

This misjudgement is of historic proportions, as is shaping to be a military defeat of the West. And they do panic in every capital in the West. Now Russian Foreign Ministry through Embassy in London demands explanations on BoJo's (as de facto US envoy) sabotage of negotiations in Istanbul in 2022. This is just the start of proceedings. The volume will grow, dramatically.

The Issue Of Scale.

 Mr. Stoltenberg is an exhibit A of why Western "economics" education is primarily a fraud. Don't look at me, an authority on economics orders of magnitude greater than me, Michael Hudson, also thinks so.

Ukraine is consuming an “enormous amount” of ammunition, and the West needs to boost production to keep up, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told reporters on Monday. Stoltenberg also called on the bloc’s members to increase their intelligence efforts, accusing China and Russia of spying on them with balloons. “The war in Ukraine is consuming an enormous amount of ammunition,” he said ahead of a meeting of NATO defense ministers in Brussels. “This puts our defense industries under strain,” he continued, adding that “we need to ramp up production and invest in our production capacities.” Stoltenberg then pledged, as he has repeatedly since Russia’s military operation in Ukraine began, that “NATO stands with Ukraine for as long as it takes.”

Remarkably, Jens Stoltenberg's thesis title (from Oslo University) was, drum roll: Makroøkonomisk planlegging under usikkerhet. En empirisk analyse ("Macroeconomic planning under uncertainty. An empirical analysis"). One cannot make this shit up even if one tries. So, this "economics" graduate wrote a thesis on something that cannot be accomplished in the modern West because "macroeconomic planning" and the modern West are irreconcilable things. SMO exposed all superficiality and chaos of West's economies dramatically. 

Remarkably, Stoltenberg, complaining about VSU using "enormous amount" of ammunition, forgets a simple fact of life that Russian Armed Forces use ORDER OF MAGNITUDE than whatever is left of VSU-NATO cabal more, and Russia is not just feeling fine, but dramatically expands the production of every single military materiel and technology she needs. That's real macroeconomic planning under uncertainty. But it is too late for Stoltenberg, and NATO in general, to learn now anything of substance about REAL war and REAL war economy. So, the only thing which is left is to spew propaganda which is increasingly detached, if not completely already, from economic and military realities on the ground. They DID miscalculate that badly, they ARE that ignorant--because the failure is systemic, across all institutions of the combined West, military included.

Because what happens in effect now in 404 is not just "little by little" but a complete, industrial scale, annihilation of 404 and NATO's mobilization potentials. Will the West resort to the only thing it can do--terrorism? Possible. As US Embassy in Moscow urged US citizens to leave Russia, the chair of State Duma Committee On Investigation of Interference Into Internal Affair of Russia, Vasily Piskarev, citing SVR's data, explained that the US assets in Russia are getting ready to conduct terrorist actions (in Russian). Nothing new, really. Well, after NS2 terrorist act it is obvious that this is the extent of the current US military "capability" when dealing with serious adversaries. Could also be yet another primitive hack psyop against the background of obvious military-industrial failure. I warned about it for years--nobody listened. 

Meanwhile, Russia pushes ahead with completion of the newest plant for manufacturing satellites (including SMOTR class--part of SFERA program). Here is report in Russian. 

The plant, which goes into operation this year will be able to manufacture and test simultaneously 4 heavy satellites and 100 light ones. So, that adds to explanation of Musk's sudden "maneuvers" with Starlink.
