We all know that New Orleans is a shithole. But it took Mark Knopfler's genius to leave it to us to wonder about desperation, love and something which breaks our hearts. After watching this cretin Kanye West's pathetic attempt to produce something remotely reminiscent of a music on SNL's 40th Anniversary, I have to say, Blues which is the music of a good black man, when he feels bad, and the music of a trash who have no talent, it takes a Briton to create a masterpiece. What is left for the posterity.......
If you cannot make your guitar cry.....And then there is this Dire Straits' sax........
That's a good one. Here is one of my favorite songs by Dire Straits.

This song is on the playlist of Dire Straits' Masterpieces in my car. Together with Mark's solo Speedway At Nazareth and Sivertown Blues and, of course, with DS's Telegraph Road and Private Investigations. The music for ages.
ReplyDeleteGood stuff!
