Krokus-City Hall...

... they say more than 100 casualties have been confirmed so far. But get this:

Translation: “At this time, there is no indication that Ukraine or Ukrainians were involved in an armed attack,” John Kirby, coordinator of strategic communications at the National Security Council, said at a media briefing.

Hm, why such a rush to the conclusions? The hallmarks of London and Washington activity are terrorist and false flag operations. This is the "surprise" GUR big honcho--a MI6 asset--Budanov was talking about.

Fantastical Thinking As MO...

Fantastical thinking began to dominate Western political mind somewhere around early 1990s and it never subsided. Many do think fantastically, it is nothing new, daydreaming is one such example, or, for that matter, "discussions" on the "tactics" of Maverick from the latest Top Gun, as if people are talking not about purely fictional BS but about serious tactical and operational reality. But it is one thing when some 35+ years old boy discusses Maverick's maneuvers in the latest flick, totally another when the admiral (right) of the US Navy parades himself as a clown.

Ukraine will determine the terms of any peace deal with Russia, US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told the state-run Voice of America broadcaster on Friday. While others have suggested that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky should cede some territory for peace, Kirby said Washington is preparing for what could be “a prolonged conflict.”... Kirby insisted that Ukraine can fight on, and told Voice of America that “Mr. Zelensky is going to get to determine what victory looks like.” “Of course, we want Ukraine to succeed on the battlefield, and we want them to succeed at the negotiating table, if and when it comes to that,” Kirby continued. “We’re not at that stage right now. But we believe that President Zelensky is the one who gets to determine what victory looks like. “Our job is to make sure that he has the tools available to him to do that in the most efficient, effective way.”

Of course, Mr. Kirby's admiral rank is a some kind of accident, because his resume is rather subdued. And one has to wonder why he remained a restricted line officer, not eligible for command at Sea, before going to... PR. Obviously spewing BS came naturally to him and that is why he thinks fantastically and continues to propagate things so "advanced" for real military science and real military professionals, that the issue arises not about his professional adequacy which is non-existent, but of his mental state, because he introduces a new concept: utterly defeated power dictating terms of peace. In related news, Clausewitz was proven wrong by Kirby because classic Clausewitz dictum about war's main objective being "to compel the enemy to do our will" by means of war, a euphemism for defeating the enemy, is, apparently wrong. Mr. Kirby and many US generals are, evidently, convinced about it now.

Take fantastical thinking by such US military "analysts" as Generals Petraeus or Keane and you will see that Mr. Kirby is not alone. I will omit here description, done on many occasions by me, of psychiatric reasons for such a fantastical thinking, but here is truly genuine US combat officer who for decades is consistent in his views, many of which (not all) were correct, speaking about why when meeting with Churchill in Moscow in August 1942 (where Sir Winston went to inform Stalin personally that there will be no Second Front), Stalin noted that "Great Britain is a sea animal, Russia is a land animal."

MacGregor speaks here about what Glantz and House spoke for decades--a complete flipping of WW II history from feet to the head. Many, even in Pentagon, still cannot grasp the scale and the scope of Soviet operations in WW II and that is why so many in the West toil tirelessly to rewrite the history of WW II in such a way as to arrive to Earl Ziemke's conclusion that Nazis were defeated on the secondary theaters of operations or on June 6, 1944 with D-Day commencing. But I am ON RECORD for many years, the US Army never fought anything comparable in scale and scope of present day SMO. Unless one wants to insist that, not taking anything away from heroism of Allied soldiers or tactical and operational capability of Allied officers, Battle of the Bulge eclipses Stalingrad, Kursk or famous "10 Stalin's Strikes", including full demolition of Wehrmacht starting with Operation Bagration. Here is David Eisenhower, the grandson.

The explanation for consistent failure to forecast or anticipate anything from Russia is easy: it is a combination of arrogance and incompetence, exacerbated by a deep seated complex of inferiority. That is why this history of the events will be steadily erased from the Western historiography until the world of fantastical history, in which the United States is omnipotent and omnipresent power "for good" will substitute reality.

Meanwhile, while Kiev is getting ready to "dictate" terms of peace (a euphemism for the US feeling a coming defeat and, thus, BSing people), Russian forces, who, evidently, "ran out of ammo" and smart munitions, today wiped out three brigades, by means of massive strike by stand-off weapons, of VSU, namely 65th, 66th motor-rifle brigades and 46th aeromobile brigade (in Russian). Somebody, explain to BoJo and Kirby that Russia fights "economically" to save as many civilians as possible, but can turn on the pain dial to more than 11 and somebody in the West begins to recognize it. As per Russian Navy, since post-WW II period it was, is and will remain a classic Sea Denial force with very limited "power projection" capability--two-three serious (maybe four) LHDs and, maybe, two-three aircraft carriers, not counting Kuznetsov. How they will look like? Who knows. Russia "... goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all." What a historic irony that John Quincy Adams unwittingly meant Russia of 2022, not just the United States of 1821.

I Think This Fits The Moment...

... describing modern West.  You have to admit, Bob had his excellent moments both musically and lyrically.

Here is another Exhibit A of:

Broken treaties broken vows
Broken pipes broken tools
People bending broken rules
Hound dog howling bullfrog croaking

Everything is broken.

I wonder if Pentagon is embarrassed now?

After all, Hitler was also sentimental.

But he was also a damn good actor, unlike John Kirby.

The Key Phrase (or About RKR Moskva Again).

The key phrase in this whole RKR Moskva affair, with her being "sunk" or "being hit by missiles" are Russian MoD's words about "the cause of the fire is under investigation". Usually, when you are hit by missiles you don't investigate--it is self evident what happened. As was expected, Ukies immediately tried to "insert" their version of the fire and explosion on board of Moskva, which turned out, surprise-surprise, a full BS.  But then again, remember--VSU is about to crush Russian Forces in 404 and be on their way to Moscow.

Several Ukrainian officials had earlier boasted that a battery of their Neptune anti-ship missiles hidden in the area near the port town of Odessa had successfully struck the Moskva twice, setting it ablaze. However, they provided no proof to their claims, with the images of the burning vessel distributed on social media turning out to be fake. Russia’s Ministry of Defense said earlier that the fire aboard the Moskva had been likely caused by an ammunition explosion. The cruiser had suffered “serious damage,” while its crew was safely evacuated to other ships in the area. The Pentagon commented on the incident on Thursday evening, saying that there was “at least one” explosion on the Russian cruiser that was a “fairly major one” and “caused extensive damage.” The US military believe the ship is now heading to the Crimean port of Sevastopol for repairs, the Pentagon’s press secretary, John Kirby told CNN's Brianna Keilar. Ukraine had already claimed last month to have sunk the Russian patrol boat Vasily Bykov, only for the vessek to show up in Sevastopol unharmed a few days later.

Looks like it is not even being towed but Moskva is on the way under her own power, at least that is what Kirby (it seems) stated himself (in Russian). So, anyone who has the time to listen to his briefing, please check if this is true.

In any case, Moskva is certainly not sunk, she is functional and will be repaired, at least this is the word for now. In fact, something tells me, that now she may go into the modernization and even a deeper one than Marshal Ustinov. Just to make the point. I cannot give the guarantee, obviously, but something tells me that this could be one of the options. This Moskva issue is a great demonstration of a massive fraud which all kinds of telegram-channels and military "experts" offer as "analysis" and "news" rushing to promote themselves as valid news outlets, while selling fake sensations. I am not talking about Ukie or Western propaganda--one would expect them to lie. No, I am talking about a truck-load of those alleged "pro-Russian" outlets who spread BS purely to make a buck.

Per versions on why the fire started: recall Bonhomme Richard? Just saying. Military counter-intel organs cannot be 100% proof and under present conditions of SMO the issue of sabotage cannot be excluded, period. Especially after devastating news for Kiev with yet another more than VSU 300 marines surrendering today to Russian Forces and the pool of POWs from Ukrainian side constituting now more than 3,000 POWs. The reduction of the Donbass cauldron, some sources close to SMO project, may bring 30,000 VSU POWs and that is a completely different "logistics" in humanitarian and security terms. As I already stated, the most in demand profession in LDNR right now are prison security guards, to handle thousands VSU POWs. This in itself could be a very serious motivation for someone who may have sympathies to regime in Kiev, which may not have been promptly detected. Inside work is totally possible. We'll see anyway.

BTW, pay attention to those Vikhrs on Ka-52s, those are PGMs.

Absolutely! I Would Say Probability Is Approaching 146%.

I thought they were smarter there, but, evidently, not.

Sad, really. I wonder if this PR "admiral" Kirby believes himself in this BS he spews? I mean Kirby is literally PR admiral, he spent all his life obtaining "soft" degrees in BS and then "served" as PAO (Public Affairs Officer). So, I totally can envision him being utterly incompetent in real war.

In related news, more and more of these specimens will appear (courtesy of FSB and SK) who demonstrate WHO the combined West supports. Ukraine uber alles, Nazi crosses and tattoos of this nature are just some of the features of Nazis from 404, who, if to believe people like Kirby and CNN, are non-existent.

That brings us back to this "Russia is not answering the phone" issue, because Russia doesn't negotiate with Nazi enablers. Good friend of mine sent me this link to American Thinker re: Bucha "massacre".

Well, it is good that many begin to question propaganda which combined West's media spread, but this is too late now in a sense that Russia knows everything and more conclusively what she needs to know about combined West politically. There is nothing to discuss with present leadership. There is, however, one continuous misunderstanding on part of American neocon cabal and European lapdogs about the nature of the operation in 404--not surprising considering utter military incompetence top-bottom--and that is this issue of "Afghanistan 2.0" fro Russia. This is all a result of military incompetence by CIA and State Department creatures (aided by such military "professionals" as Keane or Kirby) who cannot recognize both military outcomes in Afghanistan 1.0 (no, USSR didn't collapse because of that war and it didn't spend itself out there) and how serious wars are fought.

As I already am on record--at this stage the combined West finances Russia's operation in 404 and those in the Western elites who, unlike BoJo, still have their brains not completely liquefied, they understand that Russia is not bound by materiel expense in this operation and IS NOT going to run out of resources. I know, that hurts, but numbers are not there for the West. Moreover, judging by the fact that Russian Coast Guard prevented today yet another attempt on "saving" some interesting people, this time Coast Guard ship opened fire at Ukie vessel trying to get to Mariupol, there are some very interesting cadres blocked at the Azov Steel. As one of the Nazis taken POW by Russians confirms today, there are around 300 foreign military (and mercenaries) and around 2,000 Nazis and VSU remaining at Azov Steel. Russians would love to get hands on many of them, and will proceed with a proper caution in order to take a look and talk to these foreign (primarily NATO countries) assets there.

Here is how Azov Steel (Azovstal') looks like today and I am sure we are in for many revelations of purely military and war crimes nature, once this plant-fortress is mopped up. But yes, I am sure "admiral" Kirby would like to learn that VSU is about to defeat Russia and is at the approaches to Moscow. In related news, I saw a unicorn today.

P.S.  Compare Pentagon's and Russian MoD spokespersons' General Konashenkov's backgrounds.
