Friday. And A Fun "Competition".

Many of you know that I write... I mean torture myself with the fourth book and, you may have guessed it already, it is about the events of 2021-2023. Geopolitics and war. I thought to title the book Vom Kriege (On War), but then I remembered that some German (Prussian, really) dude wrote the book with this title in 1830s, wink, wink. The Art of War was also taken by this nasty Chinese plagiarist who beat me to it about 2.5 thousand years before, LOL. Strategy title was taken by Alexander Svechin. So, you see how difficult is my life. Now, for shits and giggles, knowing what I do and what I write and against the background of the events of the last two years, who would dare to propose the title for my new book. Caveat: World War Three title is verbotten, because it was already abused by a bunch of political "scientists".

And here is a reward from a genius:

Have a go at it...

Of Course, I Love Blues.

But this is one of the best guitar jams ever. Eric and Joe do their magic and it makes your skin produce many standing hairs on every part of your body.
It is Friday.

Absolutely Stunning, And In Defense Of America.

Turkish photographer Ugur Gallenkus creates some stunning art, a very talented art:

Judge for yourself:

Yes, there is a degree of anti-Western sentiment, but isn't it also poignant when one sees Lady Ga-Ga crying because she is so...Ga-Ga:

On the other hand--life is very complex, very, and while 1 percenters emote because of their "accomplishments" which will be forgotten next news cycle, I couldn't let one of them slide:
Rosanna Arquette is facing backlash after expressing "shame" over her ethnicity. The "Pulp Fiction" actress, 59, took to Twitter Wednesday to talk about her race and upbringing, tweeting, "I’m sorry I was born white and privileged. It disgusts me." She added, "And I feel so much shame."
Really, backlash? This good for nothing weirdo, who made her living by pretending to be other people and who knows nothing about real hardships of those very many white people who bust their asses everyday to keep the food going on their tables for themselves and their kids and to have enough money to put some gas in their car's tank to drive to work, has some gall to worry about her being born white. In the end, it is this America which enriched this good-for-nothing pretentious mediocrity. I know personally white, hell, I know black, Latino and Asian people who get up every day early in he morning to get to factories, open their stores, gas-stations, coffee-stands to earn an honest buck and who have moral standards and work ethics none of Hollywood losers or other celebrities will ever know. So, these people, who still keep America on their shoulders DO NOT deserve to have degenerates from West Coast, Hollywood, D.C. and NYC upscale gated communities and rich country clubs speaking for them. Especially fugly, burnt out silicone ignoramuses.

It is so sad that Toto's song Rosanna was dedicated partially to this waste of a human. This is my defense of America which has nothing in common with US "elites" who long ago detached themselves from us, deplorables, and continue to drive this country, and the world, to the brink of catastrophe. Rosanna Arquette is an exhibit A of the American decline and I couldn't pass on this exhibit. Yet, because it is Friday, let's get to American people of some true talent and timeless significance:

Friday Magic....

I don't know how to describe this... No words, just a glass of Jack and a Cigar.

American Modern Art At Its Finest.

Feeling bad, down? Dire Straits' The Telegraph Road in your head? The Friday at Smoothie's Blog (I kid, I kid)? Well, apart from superb music, the video shows places I've been many times to, or very similar ones. I know how desperation looks and feels like--I know American West really... not bad. I, for some reason, never was attracted to the glitz of big cities, I always preferred back roads' diners, not an exquisite cuisine. I never will be able to live in Canada (despite loving her magnificent nature)--they are not big of Chicken Fried Steak--I have to have those. Yet, as always blues makes it all come together very nicely, especially when played by Joe Bonamassa.

Blues is eternal...So is American desperation (yes, I almost stole it from Pink Floyd).

Barnsey And Joe Doing Deep Purple.

Being Russian from Soviet times it is only natural that my life was spent, apart from British Glam and Uriah Heep, with the music of Deep Purple. But since Joe Bonamassa did his Blues Deluxe (I have Joe's all albums) and being always a fan of Barnsey--how good this could be? It is damn good. It is so damn good, it is so unbelievably good, it so out there (yes, I had a tear in my eye for John Lord during Hammond-organ's solo) that once you start listening to it your day turns into the evening listening to originals and truly great covers.
