About Power Projection.

And why it is done. Starting from 22:40 in otherwise excellent conversation between Larry and Alex Christophorou (of Duran), Alex makes an astonishing claim that in Mediterranean everything is lost for Russia and talks about sway and about Med being NATO and US lake.

For all my deep respect for Alex, here are some important points one has to consider and I will be blunt.

1. Russians don't give a flying coitus about having sway anywhere--Greece, Germany or the US. Russia is not USSR and is not interested in the International Worker's Movement or International Socialist (and Communist) Movement. Russians don't give a fuck about being loved or respected in EU. Europe is Russia's existential enemy. Russia is strictly transactional--wanna do business? Fine. If you don't, well, feel free to find better deals elsewhere. Russians DO NOT buy all this crap about cultural "closeness", or common "Orthodox root" and shit like that--everybody has their price, look what $5 billion buys one in 404. Tsipras government demonstrated to Russians everything they needed to know about Greece. Tourism and a few Russophile clubs here and there in the EU are just that--clubs with negligible impact.

2. As Paul Atreidis stated in Dune: "He who can destroy a thing, has the real control of it". Soviet/Russian projection of power was always NOT about bombing the shit out of locals--this is the American idea of "projection of power". Russian idea in Med since post WW II was about a) Shipping Lanes Of Communication (SLOC) and free movement of commodities between USSR/Russia and her clients, b) to prevent the Med's flank from resupplying NATO forces in case of WW III. And here is the issue:

3. Alex speaks from the POV of how NATO people think, that is the problem, because--this is the thinking from the XX century school of geopolitics, which ignores completely a simple XXI century fact that Russia can sink ANY combination of the NATO Fleets, including any number of the US Navy's Carrier Battle Groups from Gibraltar to Bosporus and NATO can do nothing about it. Zero, zilch. Combined West is simply stuck in the 1980-90s military thinking and technology.

A single frigate of Gorshkov-class with a single pr. 885 Yasen-class SSGN can, in a single salvo of 4 3M22Zircon each destroy two US Navy Carrier Battle Groups--none of those CBGs will know what hit them. Moreover, what is also missing from this outdated POV is the fact of a term which Vladimir Putin and Russian military professionals saying about Oreshnik--read attentively--it is a HIGH PRECISION weapons. That means that Oreshnik's hypersonic maneuvering blocks with the range of 5,500 kilometers can hit any types of targets on the land or in the sea. NATO navies, including US Navy's CBG can huff and puff, can simulate Alfa-strikes but all this is for naught because since roughly 2018 there is no NATO "lake" in Med with or without Russian bases there, because all of those navies are nothing more than fat prestigious defenseless targets. What matters the most, those who are not completely brainwashed in NATO navies know this. And this is why any attempt to sabotage Russian commercial activity supported by Russian Armed Forces can start with the demonstration of sinking some Euro-chihuahua ship, say French or Spanish FFG as a warning.

Too bad Royal Navy's ships do not go to sea anymore--no, really and, yes, I am being facetious about sinking those. So, in this case, after Syrians (or whatever they consider themselves now) made their choice. Now they, ahem... LOL))

The new Syrian authorities are calling on the international community to intervene and help it stop Israeli strikes, the head of the Hayat Tahrir-al-Sham (HTS) jihadist group, Abu Mohammed al-Julani, has said. In an interview on Saturday on the Istanbul-based Syria TV channel, Ahmad al-Sharaa, who is better known by his nom de guerre, spoke about Israel for the first time since taking over the country. Militant groups led by HTS launched an offensive against Syrian troops in November, capturing major cities and advancing towards Damascus. After the collapse of the Syrian military, Former President Bashar Assad fled the country and was granted asylum in Russia. Al-Julani said that “the Israeli arguments have become flimsy” and “do not justify their recent violations.” The HTS leader stressed that West Jerusalem has “crossed the lines of engagement” in the country, which might threaten an escalation in the region.

Don't you love it? Meanwhile Russia relocates a few assets to Libya, which is a critical location for expanding Russia's Saharan and sub-Saharan commercial and military activity. Just to demonstrate what Oreshnik's reach is in relation to Med...

Now, let's talk about whose lake the Mediterranean is. Remember: "He who can destroy a thing, has the real control of it"(c). Wise words.

Alex Gives A Good Aye-Yai-Yai On G-7, Larry About Denazification And Something Else.

Larry gives an excellent historic introspective of the meaning of denazification of Ukraine in his latest.

Meanwhile, Alex Cristoforou did an excellent job covering G-7 summit and his comments, including his really appropriate "Aye-Yai-Yai" are spot on.

While we all observe a complete intellectual and moral decomposing of the Western ruling class, here is Colonel MacGregor on... orgies and degeneracy of the Washington's "elite".

But here is a very interesting twist in MacGregor's statement about those people in D.C. thinking that they are "immune to persecution". Obviously, he speaks about internal US justice system, however compromised. But if you recall, I reminded everyone four months ago about a different kind of persecution. I spoke about it since 2014. I will remind you about a very recent one:

Russia was very meticulous in collecting and systematizing all the records of the atrocities and military crimes the West has committed around the world. Scholz also should recall that Germany played a decisive role in overthrowing a legitimate, however corrupt, Yanukovich government in 2014. There are many people in Germany, ranging from politicians to media, to German intel services, whose names are well known and who have a rap sheet which many thugs from  Chicago can only dream about.  Moreover, unlike Chicago thugs, these well nurtured and dressed ladies and gentlemen do this on a massive scale.

They are not entirely stupid, because some of them can see where the West is going. In fact, a rough equivalent of Russia's deadly 1990s and chaos for both EU and the US are already here. Things will only get much-much worse with further disintegration of statehood institutions in the Western world and inevitable shake up in elites, because present ones are leading the West towards a complete political and cultural disintegration. This time is not far away. For the United States it is already here and the process is fairly advanced. Once Russia concludes consolidation of her economic and military position vis-a-vis combined West, which by that time will be in a deeper turmoil, the indictments will follow. These ones will be in relation to Western politicos and media. As I already stated, there are many of them who are guilty in assisting or instigating mass murders all around the world and the worst outcome for them is accelerating degradation of Western political and military institutions, which prior to 2014 were the ONLY guarantee for them to never face war-crimes tribunal.
There are very many war criminals and criminals against humanity  in D.C. and EU capitals. Some of them may and some will face war crimes tribunal, because there is no statue of limitations for war crimes and crimes against humanity. And this deeper turmoil is not just coming, it is here and none of the so called G-7 is immune to it and that, inevitably, will bring not only economic but political turmoil and then... well, all those security details of rich and powerful are amateur kids compared to people who will be looking for their masters. But that is the separate topic altogether.

Excellent Political Commentary From Both Alexes.

Thank you to our own Thomas Malthaus who directed me to this excellent video by Duran people. As you know I cannot possibly catch everything even from my preferred sources, but this discussion by both Alexes is excellent and gives a good situational awareness of Europe's political dynamics.

Excellent conversation.

Andrei Raevsky Makes The Point...

... emphatically and I agree with it:

The collective West has now fully adopted a strategy first invented by the Israelis: if you cannot win a real war, win an imaginary one.  And just as the IDF bombing some border post between Syria and Iraq makes no military sense or even any difference whatsoever, it is great for the morale of the Israelis who, just like the folks in the West, feel a strong sense of racial superiority over their Arab neighbors so they *need* “victories” to boost their own egos and conceal the fact that Israel’s neighbors have lost any fear they might have had in the past.  What has to remain the biggest secret of them all is that, in reality, it is Israel which fears its neighbors (and it should!).  Hence all the Israeli hysterics about BDS, or the term “Apartheid”, and all the crap about anti-Semitism: they are all designed to hide the truth, and first and foremost from the Israelis themselves who all suffer from what Gilad Atzmon very accurately calls “the pre-traumatic stress disorder”.

But while I agree that combined West went into the total war against Russia (and Russians, I may add), there is this sense of desperation which marks all of this war and Alex Christoforou, while lamenting, understandably, Greece's position, elaborates extensively on Nuland (and neocons in general):

He, correctly, concludes that they want second "Afghanistan" for Russia but immediately gives out, by merely providing basic facts, the main reason why this is not going to happen, for two reasons.

1. Nuland is scavenging all she can get in terms of old Soviet equipment from anyone who has some. Like Czechs who sent, reportedly already annihilated (don't quote me on that) together with the strike on Lozovaya rail-road station near Kharkov (this one is confirmed), 40 tanks and BMP-1s. If she tries to get her hands on Tor M1s and armor from Greece and Cyprus, that tells you a lot. It is desperation.

Of course, Pentagon confirmed that they are sending first 100 Switchblade loitering munitions to Ukraine, and that the US trained operators for this weapon in the US. But, judging by the "successes" of Javelins and the US and UK "planning", such as using civilians as human shield, the result will be primarily PR-oriented, and will change absolutely nothing in the final outcome. In related news, there are many locations around the world where US military bases will have to think twice about safety, such as in Syria, because people who do not want to see US troops there may suddenly increase their deadliness--you know, like this.

2. Neocons are not good at war which involves the use of tanks and aircraft, but they suck even more when we are talking about modern 21st century warfare, especially the scale of what is happening in 404 now. Kagan clan, including Viky Nuland, as you know, rely on the "expertise" of such abusers of donations and grants as the Institute for the Study of War, where a bunch of political "scientists" and losers of all campaigns they fought, such as generals Keane and Petraeus, parade themselves as incompetent ignoramuses pretending to know Russia and her military. And ISW is just one of many orgs which do not "study" war but create narratives, while I personally begin to seriously doubt the competence of modern day Pentagon. They can do PR, that's for sure, I doubt they know how to fight the real war, especially as complex as that in 404. And especially they have no clue what it means to fight for your country--NO US servicemen ever died defending the United States proper. This is also a foundation of the all consuming both envy and complex of inferiority of many US generals, because Russia dwarfs the US in terms of military history and beating all best military powers of the last millennium. This is also in the foundation of many in Western elites' all consuming hatred of Russia and Russians.

So, I quote Andrei Raevsky, "if you cannot win a real war, win the imaginary one." That is what the US is doing since Vietnam. Doing proxy wars, staging false flags, supplying Nazis and terrorists with weapons--that, they are good at. Winning? Not really. Now, being primitive one-dimensional military "thinkers" they cannot even come up with believable lie and increasingly come across as desperate, which Nuland's voyage merely confirms. They love to think about themselves as very sophisticated and advanced, in reality they are primitive, uncultured and are crafty only at political machinations--this is the extent of their competencies. This is their "level":

Do I need to say more? They long ago lost the distinction between illusion and reality and continue to fight imaginary war, because they don't know how to fight a real one.
