The United States doesn't have America-centric foreign policy. It has Israel-centric, military industrial complex-centric, banks-centric foreign policy but NOT America-centric foreign policy, because US foreign "policy" is what effectively destroyed the United States, which is nothing more than a global bouncer for AIPAC and neocons.

Troops of Russia’s Southern Military District launched the first stage of recently announced tactical nuclear drills on Tuesday, the Defense Ministry in Moscow has confirmed. When announcing the drills a week previously, the ministry explained that the exercise is designed to serve as a deterrent amid continued escalation between Russia and the West, by demonstrating Moscow’s ability to respond to any external threats. It will involve delivery of nuclear weapons to troops from storage sites, arming tactical nuclear missiles, and preparation of missile launches, Moscow announced in a statement on Telegram. The troops will be using the Iskander-M systems, which can fire 9M723-1 ballistic missiles or 9M728 cruise missiles, both of which can carry tactical nuclear warheads with yields between five and 50 kilotons. The Southern Military District forces will also practice covert deployment operations using the systems, as part of launch-preparation drills, according to the military.

Pretty standard stuff, just to remind that said Iskander can reach pretty much anywhere in Europe. Definition of NON-STRATEGIC (not "tactical" as RT reports, a huge difference) weapons is a rather very elastic definition because e.g. nuclear armed Kinzhal (it also takes part) which flies to the distance of 2,500+ kilometers can carry a rather substantial, by different estimates, nuclear ordnance up to 50 kT  and can wipe Brussels off the map in one go, God forbid, of course, this comes to it. Is it "strategic"? In terms of impact definitely so. But it doesn't fit under the umbrella of the "strategic weapons" and is defined as "non-strategic". You see, Russians also have really damn good lawyers. Two can play the game. So, Russia trains, just in case. 

Meanwhile Mike Turner and the group of other similar-"minded" Congressmen from Knesset, ah, pardon me, House of Representatives sent a letter to Mr. Austin urging him to allow 404 to attack Russian territory with US weapons. 

Today, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10), Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and head of the U.S. delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Congressman Jim Himes (CT-04), Ranking Member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, and Congressman Gerry Connolly (VA-11), past president of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, were joined by their colleagues on a bipartisan letter to Department of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin urging the Biden Administration to expedite additional resources to Ukraine.  After meeting with a delegation of Ukrainian parliamentarians, the congressional lawmakers emphasized that in order for Ukraine to better defend itself against Russia, the United States should authorize the use of weapons by Ukraine that would allow its military to strike strategic targets within Russia, train additional Ukrainian F-16 pilots, and bolster Ukraine's air defense systems.

Those people, of course, do not understand consequences (expected from US legislators) of such actions, because the US has many military bases which are defenseless against any salvo of Russian missiles, but for members of Select Committee on Intelligence in the House this all is a fodder to boost own chances for reelection in the next cycle by the same type of people who in Arizona or South Carolina continuously elected such war criminals as late John McCain and his presently relatively alive buddy Lindsey Graham. As per "bolstering" anything--there is not a single weapon system in the US arsenal, least of all air defense ones, which are designed to fight on the modern XXI century battlefield against modern stand-off weapons. But I am sure they, sitting on the Select Committee on Intelligence, should know that, right?

No really. Is it even a news anymore for anyone with a half-brain and an attention span longer than the length of a hemorrhoid cream commercial? I don't think so. Recall what I wrote 5 days ago:

As Captain Ed Hocken (played by incomparable George Kennedy) from The Naked Gun would say:

They Are Scared, Well, Too Bad.

You know by now my attitude to what passes in the modern West, especially the US, for "intellectual elite". I am on record when stating that this is no elite nor is it "intellectual".  In general, it is badly educated (Ph.Ds from Ivy League schools in humanities are a worthless garbage in mostly pseudo-sciences) and highly delusional cabal of people whose only skills lay in the doctrine-mongering and interpreting the world wrongly. I recall some 20 years ago some gathering (shown on C-SPAN) dedicated to late Barbara Tuchman and, in general, some sort of review of history as a science. Among accolades to her, parallels between the United States and Roman Empire were drawn continuously in a couple of presentations by different historians. I was struck then, how uncritical, if not downright amateurish drawing of such parallels was. 

Yes, we may bloviate here about Republic and Roman Law whatever we want, but as I state (sorry, I do and I want people to remember this simple fact) non-stop: drawing parallels in the 21st century to societies as they existed more than 2000 years ago is not just calamitous--it is wrought with great dangers. If you read my second book--almost full first quarter of it is dedicated to the danger of leaving a formulation of global reality to political "scientists" and other products of American "humanities" programs. None other than John Mearsheimer recently continued to repeat same myth about Russian Armed Forces "being mediocre", same as many even American so called "realists" continuing even today to repeat jingles about either US economy being "number one", or Russia's economy being the size of Italy's. I, of course, do not mention here a strong conviction of this class that the US, such as latest from Patrick Buchanan, where he mentions a strata of American public which believes that the US is the greatest everything there ever was. You know, like defeating Nazism, Lucifer, winning all wars, including Peloponnese ones and so on. As you may expect, this type of "awareness" or, rather,  lack thereof is in the foundation of a profound cultural change which unfolds now in the US.

There are many people who are personally responsible for this "change" turning into national catastrophe with massive global implications and those people are American intellectual "elite". I am not talking about American mass-media, it is a cesspool of human excrement. While one strata of American population believes that speaking about the US in less than in the state of a  hysterical frenzy producing only superlatives is bad, the other wants to cancel the United States completely and then go on a global crusade. You still can reason with the former, though, with the latter--they are clear and present danger because they are the ones who drive both global and domestic policies which can only result in war. Why so? I spoke about this not for once--they are morons, or rather monkeys with grenade.  But suddenly, they feel a pinch, my oh my. They suddenly recognized that there are consequences to their "actions", granted most of US "intellectuals" have no idea what actual productive labor is. These people, they know that they are personally responsible for not only paralysis of the American governance, but for unleashing "cultural revolution", which now, by classic scenario (they don't know about that--they never studied real history) will consume its originators and children. I say let it. 

So, this bunch of cowards started to suspect something, after all ANTIFA, their beloved domestic terrorist organization, is on record--liberals get the bullet too. This pseudo-intellectual bunch (Fukuyama, Andrew Sullivan or neocons are intellectuals? Preposterous!) decided to, as is expected cowardly, say a word "against" (in reality they only feel the threat to their sinecures) this "cancel" culture they themselves helped to unleash. If you want to read this declaration of cowardice and uselessness, you are welcome to read it at Harper's. It is not a call for a free debate, it is a timid pleading "Please, don't touch us personally". This shouldn't be taken seriously. "Liberals get the bullet too" and they should be thrown out of any debate on the future, if there is any, of this country. They are not "intellectuals", they are badly educated demagogues who were pushing insane social and cultural agenda and conspiracy theories under the guise of "scholarship", which is now a laughing stock of the world, only for personal gain and satisfaction of own ambitions fed by an illusion of a rational thought and regurgitation of the quotations from the political thought of the past. 

We all saw what their "original" thoughts bring--war, destruction of culture, implosion of a societal order, in the end--a war on the state itself. I can only repeat one thing--as much as American gun-totting, NASCAR loving and ignorant redneck may not be your ideal embodiment of already pretty much destroyed Republic, at least he doesn't care what you think and doesn't tear down statues and that is just fine with me. These "intellectual" people, however, are main ideologues behind the mayhem in the United States today, they were cheerleaders behind globalist cultural agenda, they were main supporters of a catastrophic presidency of Obama, which also produced a destruction of what seems then an emerging racial relations consensus, they cheered and even rationalized deadly wars of conquest which brought suffering to so many globally. Their rap-sheet is long and now that they are scared--let them face their ugly and violent offspring. I wouldn't trust any of those "intellectuals" to mow my lawn, let alone pontificate on matters they have no clue about or are not aware of them at all. Let the Red Guards deal with them. On the knees! I heard some agricultural firms in Eastern Washington are hiring field workers. Apply there, and don't insult real intellect by associating yourself with it. 

Ha, Something To Talk About.

I don't read Rod Dreher, nor do I care much what he has to say on any issue and, of course, I can never forget his cowardly smearing of Phil Giraldi after Phil's famous article on Jews for which Phil, who spends his life fighting debilitating influence of Israeli groups on US foreign policy, was banished from The American Conservative. I do not agree with everything Phil writes on the Jewish issue in the US but Dreher is nobody when it comes, however controversial it might be, to life-long service, sometimes very dangerous service, to the United States Phil Giraldi provided. So, in general, Dreher is not a person I would find pleasant to communicate, which is expected when talking to a "writer" without any serious education, profession (B.A. in Journalism is not an education) or experiences, which Dreher's writing proves beyond the shadow of a doubt. Yet, in a surprising move, Dreher posted in his blog at TAC this piece, or rather a letter to him:

In yet another sign of Washington getting its partners (vassals) in order (going completely off the rails)--some funny news from El Pais.

Of course, those dumb Soviets who lost 27 million defending themselves from this very Europe (actually, since middle ages) never really cared about attacking NATO and wanted to be left alone, but, of course, Europeans are not that good with serious military-political analysis, especially when this "analysis" is controlled from Washington, but never mind. So, now is the time to reap what one sowed--Europe wanted "defense" from mythical Russian threat, so let Europe be "defended". 

What did they expect? That their "defender", who looked at them for 70 years as vassals is going, in the minute of its own decline, to think about welfare of Europeans? It is down right funny. No, I mean it--I know modern Western "elites" are dumb, but to be dumb that bad. Europe's purpose for the United States is three fold, it always was:

1. As a market for the American weapons and other goods;

2. A ram against historic Russia (USSR);

3. Theater of operations for a conflict with Russia with a caveat that US proper remains largely untouched.

Period. Yeah, yeah, I get it, visiting European stones and graves, and indulging in exquisite (not anymore) cuisine and art, is good, but this always was a bonus, nothing more, for Europe's American overlords. Now that US explicitly defined Europe's place as that of the American bitch (she always was), I don't see why Europeans should feel insulted. They better start learning their own REAL history of the 20th century and try to figure out how they ended up where they are today. Obviously, whoring out own sovereignty to someone who merely uses Europe (as a bitch) inevitably lead to this European "conclusions", from El Pais:

The letter from Lord, a veteran of the armaments industry with more than 30 years of experience, also contains serious warnings and threats about the consequences that will be unleashed if Brussels goes ahead with its plans. "It is clear that if the US imposes similar reciprocal restrictions, it would not be welcomed by our European partners and allies," says the Undersecretary of Defense. "We would not like to have to consider it in the future," he warns. And remember the multi-million dollar impact that this decision could have on European companies in the sector.
