 ... hate Russia. Some even understand that they need a sacrifice. So, they fight for Russia and, as strange as it sounds, which is still true, they fight for survival of Poland. 

He reviews 404 and NATO "equipment" likely decommunized by either his unit or neighbors. Meanwhile 404, including Kiev, is being pummeled by strikes, including 3M22 Zircon and other nasty "toys" finishing off power generation in 404 for good. They wanted decommunization, Russia obliges. 

Today, however is a huge date. February 2, 1943 the Stalingrad Battle was officially won and it was a catastrophe for the Third Reich. But combined West doesn't know real history of that cataclysm. With the exception of people of scale such as David Glantz or Jonathan House, Eastern Front realities, especially by such scumbags like Anthony Beevor, are written and retold from German sources. Or by Hollywood with such drivel as Enemy at the Gates. 

Pentagon has no grasp of it. None. Casualties count on both sides combined, KIAs alone around 2,000,000. 6th and Elements of 4th Armies of Wehrmacht, as well as Italian and Romanian armies wiped off the order of battle of Axis. Axis POWs--250,000. 

British reported it properly then.

Despite claims of battlefield momentum in Ukraine, the data shows that Russia is paying an extraordinary price for minimal gains and is in decline as a major power. Since February 2022, Russian forces have suffered nearly 1.2 million casualties, more losses than any major power in any war since World War II. At current rates, combined Russian and Ukrainian casualties could reach 2 million by the spring of 2026. After seizing the initiative in 2024, Russian forces have advanced at an average rate of between 15 and 70 meters per day in their most prominent offensives, slower than almost any major offensive campaign in any war in the last century. Meanwhile, Russia’s war economy is under mounting strain, with manufacturing declining, slowing growth of 0.6 percent in 2025, and no globally competitive technology firms to help drive long-term productivity.

This is from CSIS. This drivel is produced by one boy and this dude. 

Prior to CSIS, Dr. Jones was director of the International Security and Defense Policy Center at the RAND Corporation. Before that, he served in several positions in the Office of the Secretary of Defense and U.S. Special Operations Command. He served as representative for the commander, U.S. Special Operations Command, to the assistant secretary of defense for special operations. He was also a plans officer and adviser to the commanding general, U.S. Special Operations Forces, in Afghanistan (Combined Forces Special Operations Component Command–Afghanistan). Dr. Jones served on a congressionally mandated panel that reviewed the FBI’s implementation of counterterrorism recommendations contained in the 9/11 Commission Report.

Dr. Jones despite a fountain of "credentials" does not understand war, as most of Pentagon doesn't and despite his good-sounding CV would be laughed out with his level of awareness (euphemism for butthurt) because he is ... a political "scientist", meaning he has no viable academic and experience bases to pass judgement on anything other than upcoming Oscars and new line of lingerie from Victoria Secret. RAND at which this "academic" worked too didn't produce any serious strategic paper like ... ever, and the high pitch coping and continuing to come up with numbers, such as "production of Iskanders" by these amateurs is met with Homeric laughter among people who are responsible for both manufacturing and combat use of these systems. But I am sure that Jones knows better. Of course he does--look at the war record of "the finest fighting force in history". 

And so, they cope, hard, because the butthurt is insufferable and recognizing oneself being in the midst of the collapsing structure of military fairy tales is extremely painful. It also requires a personal courage to face the reality. But the guy continues to produce things like this compendium of amateurish military BS and propaganda not understanding that he and his buddies from Capitol Hill and Pentagon do not have a tool kit to recognize how badly they lost. Meanwhile Russians, using Iskanders, organized the slaughter of US HIMARS in 404. 

But then again, can you imagine what it takes to explain to American political "scientist" what modern RUK/ROK are, how they integrate into overall netcentric structure of Russian military, and how real air defense should work. Nope, impossible. Here is Larry explaining how the famous now colonel ... well, read for yourself)). 

Hamish de Bretton-Gordon (a retired British Army colonel, former commander of the 1st Royal Tank Regiment, chemical weapons expert, and frequent commentator on defense/military matters) is at it again, having just published an article on January 30, 2026 in the Telegraph titled, “Desperate Putin is coming to the end of the road” (also headlined as “Putin’s army is on its knees. When it still has them”). This is not the first time that Colonel Hamish de Bretton-Gordon makes a fool of himself… He has a proven track record of being completely wrong about the war in Ukraine. Consider his bold and totally wrong predictions on Ukraine’s 2023 offensive that was supposed to push the Russians into the Black Sea. (Spoiler alert: The Russians completely defeated the Ukrainian offensive by the end of August 2023.)

Delusion is a foundation of military edukeishn in NATO. 

And, in conclusion--Happy Birthday to Larry. We all wish him good health, good fortune and long-long years of productive life. 

Ah, Those Devious Russians.

Not only they are blowing the remnants of power generation in 404 up, no, they are now going even further--right this very moment. Massive strikes on ... coal mines--the main providers of fuel for thermal power stations. 

Here, Pavlograd, Kharkov and Dnepropetrovsk are getting completely decommunized, Kiev still has no electricity and heat, other than sporadic supplies here and there. Combined West can now enjoy the results of their "planning" and "execution" of the dumbest and amoral "operation" in modern times. Hitler and Axis at least had a legitimate claim to some success and Hitler already grasped a looming catastrophe in 1942. Here is proof. 

These guys, from D.C. to Brussels? A bunch of amateurs, with neocons being amateurs with sheer hatred towards Russians and Russia. Wrong approach, should those people have been actual professionals they wouldn't have started this whole thing, but then again--defeated Wehrmacht wrote history for them and, as Bild reports (so, take it with a grain of salt), Donny wants now Arc de Triomphe in the US. Of course, it will be taller and wider than one in Paris and it is being called ... Arc de Trump. 

Obviously French really do not want to remember this one, in Moscow. 

Painful memories, and then, of course, Europeans (with the exception of British people who have been allies of the USSR) in general do not like to remember this.

On a lighter note. Russians continue to perfect means of personal protection in war and applied lessons of the sloped armor from T-34 to individual soldiers. 

As you can see yourself, lean and fit guys wearing bulletproof wests are totally vulnerable, but once you get an angle using tactical belly--that's when your chances of survival grow exponentially. Your tactical belly allows to create an angle which increases the thickness of the west plus reflects bullet away. Ergo, the daily calorie intake for personnel of Russian Armed Forces must be increased dramatically.

The 12-day "war", in reality beating the crap out of Israel, demonstrated a manifest ineffectiveness of US air defense/anti-missile systems. No matter the spin, the WSJ may declare whatever it wants: 

Before Any Strike on Iran, U.S. Needs to Bolster Air Defenses in Mideast. The Pentagon is taking steps to better protect Israel, Arab allies and American forces if Iran retaliates. 

But the capability gap is not a figment of imagination of Andrei Martyanov, of which I wrote for more than a decade, it is one of those "Capability Surprises" about which I also wrote (I called it a Revelation Mode) and made a video about this document.

And then there is risk avoidance and after that--risk aversion. The foundation of the US perceived global power--the US Navy's Carrier Battle Groups lost physics and mathematics contest to anyone who understands Missile Combat, Salvo Model and has technological wherewithal to produce and field even a previous generation of weapons, which make CBGs fat prestigious targets. Iran has such capability and whatever else was provided to her by Russians and Chinese. Now we wait and see. I speak about it and more in my latest video which should be up shortly.
