Spain has lost between 25 and 30% of its forest firefighting capacity by skimping on resources to rent helicopters with a greater possibility of launching water that are equivalent to the best in their class, the Kamov, Russian-made and out of the game because they are subject to European sanctions for the war in Ukraine. Only last week a first ship of this type arrived in Spain, a helicopter manufactured in the US Black Hawk, which like the Chinook models can drop 4,300 liters and which are notably more expensive than the ships contracted for three campaigns, except one, between 1,000 and 2,000 liters, which are currently working on extinguishing the serious fires of recent weeks.
I am on record, Europe should forget about Russia and anything related to her. I reiterate my position--albeit it doesn't apply to Spain--a repatriation of all Red Army servicemen cemeteries and monuments from Europe back home.
