In between commenting on NFL and exposing himself as operationally challenged, he now became a submarine warfare specialist. God, this guy is good.
Russia Was ‘Freaked’: U.S. Navy Exposes Surfaced Seawolf-Class Attack Submarine.
I am also very impressed by Balestrieri's sources in "Russian Navy", which allowed him to learn about Russia being "freaked". Amazing insight, I guess Russians for the first time learned that:
Key Points - The US Navy strategically surfaces its highly capable Seawolf-class submarines on rare occasions to send a clear deterrent message to adversaries like Russia. -A key example occurred on August 21, 2020, when the USS Seawolf surfaced off the coast of Tromso, Norway—a strategic port for monitoring Russia's Northern Fleet. -This action demonstrated the submarine force's global reach and resolve. The Seawolf-class, though only three were built, remains one of the world's most advanced hunter-killer submarines, armed with up to 50 Tomahawk missiles or Mk 48 torpedoes, making such a "show of force" particularly potent.
No shit. Submarines, as it turned out not only can dive but also can surface, WOW! I need to ask my classmate by Naval Academy (one year later class of 1986) Deputy Commander of Northern Fleet Admiral Oleg Golubev (I cannot contact him directly, for obvious reasons, but ... wink, wink) how the fuck he and his Fleet missed this amazing fact that submarines can surface near Norway. I'll also call my good friend Captain First Rank, former CO of Alrosa SSK Igor Dmitriev and will shame him for being a Professor and Ph.D of Tactics Department of Kuznetsov Naval Academy (War College) and not teaching all those submarine COs of Russian Navy about ... submarines. Good Lord, Russia is screwed now.
Of course this pulp fiction "writer" NCO wouldn't understand a first thing about say ASW or Theory of Search--a lot of math and physics--and what is the "complex of measures" of the Fleet during deployment of its submarine forces, not to speak of how sweeps are done for ZRBD. But what do I know? I cannot comment on NFL--that disqualifies me immediately from assessing this illiterate pseudo-military "expert" as butthurt sore loser who is no military "expert" but a classic BSer flaunting his NCO "credentials". And don't tell him that strike capabilities of ANY type of SSN of the US Navy are pathetic compared to Yasen or modernized Oscar-II classes. Obviously Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff knows something Balestrieri doesn't know, since JCS voiced a grave concern about Russia's Pacific Fleet today. That's the topic of my today's video.
