As Russian tanks, missiles and drones rumbled through Red Square on Friday for the annual Victory Day parade celebrating the surrender of Nazi Germany in World War II, President Vladimir Putin was joined by at least two dozen world leaders, marking a victory of his own as a leader the West has sought to isolate. After some subdued celebrations in past years with few tanks and almost no visiting leaders, Russia for this year’s 80th anniversary has welcomed Chinese leader Xi Jinping, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and the leaders of Slovakia, Serbia, Egypt, Vietnam, Venezuela and others from what Moscow calls “friendly countries” to its most solemn and emotional holiday. In the intense propaganda blitz for Victory Day, Putin is projecting himself as a confident, global leader on course to defeat Ukraine, with the alliance between the United States and Europe fraying, Kyiv’s forces under pressure and negotiations to end the war largely on Russia’s terms.

Poor, poor dears. They should have learned REAL history and not BS concocted by the courtier of "approved" historians, primarily of Hollywoodish variety, and unhinged "opposition" and dissidents from historic Russia. 

The US Embassy in Moscow published this text:

The 80th anniversary of Victory in the European Theatre of World War II is not only a time of triumphant celebration, but also a moment of silence and reverent remembrance. We remember the sacrifices of the Russian people: the Siege of Leningrad – almost 900 days of debilitating hunger and fierce resistance. We remember Stalingrad and Sevastopol. We remember the grandmothers who dug trenches and the children who carried water and reports. We remember the contributions of American, Soviet and other Allied forces to achieve this common goal. The Red Army soldiers who fought for every mile, every village, to reclaim their land from the invaders. The victory was shared. And so was the memory of it.

And This Is News Exactly How?

WaPo, this corrupt cesspool of fakers suddenly begins to report (because this must hurt Trump Admin) what was and is known to anyone who tries NOT to park near Teslas at parking lots (just in case this overpriced shit goes up in flames) and who knows the history of the space flight. Like me, who is on record for years that Musk is nothing more than talented adventurist and snake oil peddler who rode the wave of liberal delusion with what they consider "advanced technology"--mostly Dem. Party (starting from Obama Admin) ignoramuses who measure technological progress in iPhones (and Teslas), due to lack of STEM education:

And here is the news, modern American economy, when one removes core American industries which still keep the US in the rank of superpower (such as aerospace or extraction) --most of it is nothing more than Ponzi scheme and selling technological snake oil. Gimmicks, like launching Tesla to space or producing flamethrowers (why? Fucking why?) may impress some Star Wars fans for a while, but the bottom line was always to get rich, even when selling this shit to morons ... 

And give Musk the credit where the credit is due--he defrauded you, morons, extremely efficiently. I wonder how many in editorial staff of WaPo own Tesla. After all, those are not for driving--only for virtue signaling and this is what DNC and USAID propaganda outlets such as WaPo and their employees are only good for.

But Kellogg is no dove on Russia, and neither is his offspring. Kellogg’s daughter is Meaghan Mobbs, president of the R.T. Weatherman Foundation and a graduate of West Point. The Ukrainians might not have a better friend than Mobbs. The R.T. Weatherman Foundation has been present in Ukraine since the start of the war. Its efforts include establishing and running a logistics hub on the Romania-Ukraine border and delivering more than 10,000 pallets of medicines, medical supplies and other aid to over 70 aid organizations and hospitals in Ukraine. Besides delivering aid, the foundation helps evacuate American volunteer soldiers fighting in Ukraine to the U.S. military’s Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany, where they can receive specialized medical care. It also repatriates the bodies of American volunteers killed in combat.

How "surprising", not. And while some of DJT's domestic efforts could be lauded, he and his "foreign policy" team remain utterly unfit for serious geopolitics in the context of superpowers' business. Enough has been stated about Keith Kellogg already--a typical US general, militarily illiterate, with wowsing losing record and with feeble understanding of the geopolitical and warfare realities. There are no others in the US Army as the US generals' corps so aptly demonstrated publicly by constantly embarrassing itself in media. 

Mr. Ryabkov reacted:

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Ryabkov reiterated that any negotiations regarding the conflict could be held only on equal and mutually acceptable terms, reflecting the realities on the ground and Russia’s national interests. “Trump’s team, despite conflicting statements from both him and his people, has at least signaled interest in resuming the dialogue with Russia that was disrupted by the Democrats,” Ryabkov said. According to the diplomat, Russian-American relations were severely strained under the administration of President Joe Biden, which he accused of adopting a “hybrid warfare strategy” against Moscow. However, he suggested that Trump’s return to the White House could signal a shift in US foreign policy.  

RT, however, as was the case with Mr. Lavrov's statements to the ambassadors from Africa, when RT completely ignored the main thrust of Lavrov's speech about the West, also "interprets" Ryabkov's words somewhat "freely". In reality Ryabkov's statement is much harsher:

"Неоднократно с нашей стороны говорилось о том, что они [отношения РФ и США] балансируют на грани разрыва"

Translation: "We have repeatedly said that they [relations between Russia and the US] are balancing on the brink of a rupture".

There is a huge fucking difference between "strain" and "rupture", but evidently RT thinks that it is free to interpret things the way they want, not how they are. But then again ... And yes, the US IS a party to the conflict in 404, it is directly involved while hiding behind the backs of 404 cannon fodder.

Remarkably, A Morsel of a Common Sense ...

In 1983, President Ronald Reagan announced he was launching a Strategic Defense Initiative, popularly known as “Star Wars,” with the goal of rendering nuclear weapons “impotent and obsolete.” He imagined lasers in space shooting down Soviet intercontinental ballistic missiles, effectively creating a space shield to save America from nuclear Armageddon. More than 40 years and hundreds of billions of dollars in missile-defense spending later, the United States has not come close to achieving Reagan’s lofty aspirations. Space lasers did not prove practical. Neither did a madcap scheme known as Brilliant Pebbles for lofting thousands of interceptors into space. The Airborne Laser — a Boeing 747 equipped with a laser — got to the testing phase before being canceled as too impractical. The United States did develop and deploy effective defenses, such as the Patriot battery and the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system, for use against short- and medium-range missiles. But attempts to stop a nuclear missile strike on the United States have never advanced much beyond President George W. Bush’s deployment in 2004 of 44 ground-based interceptors in Alaska and California. This system was designed to defend against a few missiles launched by a rogue state, not a massive nuclear attack from Russia or China. And it isn’t clear the system could achieve even that objective: In tests, the interceptors hit their targets only 50 percent of the time.

Obviously, calling Patriot or THAAD "effective defenses" is akin to me calling myself Albert Einstein and this is just the start. Trump does want a second issue of SDI, this time also designed to intercept ... hypersonic weapons. You know, all those orbital lasers and other piu-piu devices. Even Atlantic Council--yes, this wet dreams generator machine--study is kinda subdued in its expectations, albeit still missing critical fact--a paradigm shift: 

The objective of homeland missile defense is not an impregnable missile defense shield for the country, but rather sufficient defenses to counter adversary missile threats of coercion—to enable US regional defense strategy—and defenses adequate to ensure the survivability and endurance of US nuclear retaliatory forces and nuclear command and control against any combination of adversaries. This requires some tailoring of the missile defense mission depending on the strategy objectives and missile capabilities of potential adversaries. The study outlines three categories of threats or scenarios for which missile defense must provide a solution: first, there are the smaller and possibly undeterrable threats presented by accidental and unauthorized launches as well as by countries such as North Korea that have limited nuclear capabilities; the second category is limited Russian and Chinese missile threats meant to coerce the United States (to provoke but not enrage); finally, there is the larger scale (but still limited) preemptive attack against US nuclear forces and command and control designed to prevent nuclear retaliation. 

The reason being that the US lost arms race on THREE critical tracks:

1. Anti-missile defense, having nothing comparable to S-500/550, S-300V4 or A-235 Nudol.

2. Hypersonic weapons ranging from tactical-operational to strategic. US has none.

3. Survivable satellite constellation in case of real war. 

The gap is growing and to even narrow it somehow requires way more than Power Point presentation. 

There is far too much stress placed on the efficacy of the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) system with its GBIs and radars for the defense of the homeland. Originally intended to undergo regular upgrades after its initial deployment in 2004, modernization of the GMD system has failed to keep pace with advancing missile threats. Moreover, the GMD system was never meant to stand alone against the threat—but rather as part of a layered approach that contemplates defenses in other phases of flight to compensate for the GMD system’s shortcomings and to provide additional intercept opportunities.  

"Additional intercept opportunities" are impossible in the US today, because it is not just technology or arrogance, it is the wrong view of the war in general and not understanding how to fight it other than in PR and propaganda realms. In related news, Russians are having a field day with this Iron Dome thingy. I wonder what kind of data sets Patriot PAC3s provided Pentagon from the SMO zone. Nah, I am being facetious. 

Will Anyone Get Punished?

Of course, not. In fact, these herpes known as US MSM will probably celebrate their, in their opinion, brilliant BS.

US President-elect Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin did not have a phone conversation about the Ukraine conflict, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said. The Washington Post claimed on Sunday that Trump called Putin after winning a new term as US president to discuss his vision regarding how the Ukrainian crisis could be deflated. Peskov said on Monday that the article was a “vivid example of the quality of information published by even some respectable outlets.” “This absolutely does not correspond to reality. This is pure fiction. This information is simply false,” he told the press.

Peskov is wrong on only one count, though--WaPo is not respectable outlet. It is, as many times have been noted before:

The coping in the West is severe, to put it mildly. I am talking about it in my new video today, including about "intelligence". 

Changes Nothing.

Generally, this is why Nuland flew to Kiev a few days back. 

General Valery Zaluzhny, who has led the Ukrainian Armed Forces throughout the conflict with Russia, was relieved of his post on Thursday. The move comes days after President Vladimir Zelensky hinted at the dismissal in an interview, causing public backlash. Defense Minister Rustem Umerov made the announcement on Facebook, crediting Zaluzhny for having carried out “one of the most difficult tasks” by leading the military against Russia. “But the war doesn’t remain the same. War is changing and demands change. Combat in 2022, 2023 and 2024 are three different realities; 2024 will bring new changes that we must be prepared for. New approaches, new strategies are needed,” Umerov wrote. “Today, the decision on the necessity of changing the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was adopted,” he added.

Umerov, obviously, wouldn't know how "war is changing", but the appointment of the butcher of own troops, especially in Bakhmut, Syrsky will only accelerate a catastrophic state of the remnants of VSU, which are now being mauled along the whole length of the front and the whole fortified area of Avdeevka being split effectively in two cauldrons. It is also too late for VSU to settle into "strategic defense" because one should understand what strategic defense is in terms of its depth and it is certainly not the line of fortified areas, largely broken through, which VSU and NATO built prior to SMO. They are trying to copy Stavitsky Line but all in vain. All in all--makes no difference whatsoever for already clearly visible outcome. 

As WaPo "suddenly" discovered:

KRAMATORSK, Ukraine — The Ukrainian military is facing a critical shortage of infantry, leading to exhaustion and diminished morale on the front line, military personnel in the field said this week — a perilous new dynamic for Kyiv nearly two years into the grinding, bloody war with Russia. In interviews across the front line in recent days, nearly a dozen soldiers and commanders told The Washington Post that personnel deficits were their most critical problem now, as Russia has regained the offensive initiative on the battlefield and is stepping up its attacks. One battalion commander in a mechanized brigade fighting in eastern Ukraine said that his unit currently has fewer than 40 infantry troops — the soldiers deployed in front-line trenches who hold off Russian assaults. A fully equipped battalion would have more than 200, the commander said.

Hey, WaPo, where is your "reporting" from Summer 2023 on the expected defeat of Russian Army? I guess they are learning now that victory is not defined just by the captured area or the length of dashes, but in physical annihilation of the enemy. Too late now for them.

Since 2015, the CIA has spent tens of millions of dollars to transform Ukraine’s Soviet-formed services into potent allies against Moscow, officials said. The agency has provided Ukraine with advanced surveillance systems, trained recruits at sites in Ukraine as well as the United States, built new headquarters for departments in Ukraine’s military intelligence agency, and shared intelligence on a scale that would have been unimaginable before Russia illegally annexed Crimea and fomented a separatist war in eastern Ukraine. The CIA maintains a significant presence in Kyiv, officials said.

I wonder why WaPo suddenly decided to expose these well-known facts to American public? CIA is now directly associated with murders of Russian citizens and attacks on Russian civilian infrastructure. Not news, really. Russians know who and how.

Two military "geniuses" conclude in WaPo:

The rapid Ukrainian breakthrough and advance that many hoped for has not occurred. Media coverage has grown gloomier in recent weeks on the back of fragmentary journalistic accounts from the front and reported intelligence assessments from Western analysts. The news has not been great. The fight against Russia has proved to be bloody and slow — a very hard slog. But observers would be wise to temper their pessimism. War does not proceed in a linear fashion. Defenders can hold for a long time and then suddenly break, allowing an attacker to make rapid gains before the defense solidifies further to the rear. The Ukrainians aim to generate exactly this effect — and there is reason to think they can. Ukraine’s offensive push is far from over. In fact, it is still in the early stages — just 10 weeks into what is likely to last at least four more months.

It is highly advisable for both Kagan and Petraeus to take a basic course in real military history and operations--yes, with calculations of required forces and combat effectiveness--and maybe then they will understand what real war is. But don't hold your breath. Utter military illiteracy of the US top brass has been exposed and it is downright horrifying. The article in WaPo is an exhibit A of two amateurs butt-hurting from professional envy and jealousy when seeing how real wars are prosecuted by professionals and Russia defeating NATO. I think Kagan and Petraeus better concentrate on video game-playing.

So here is the billion dollar question — why did the West not encourage, hell, demand that Ukraine use Himars and Storm Shadow missiles to attack those defensive lines while they were being constructed? I believe the answer is simple — Ukraine lacked the offensive tools required for such a mission and, even if such supplies had been available, the odds are high that Russia could have thwarted those efforts. We are witnessing military malpractice by the West on a grand scale. Did the NATO planners really believe the propaganda nonsense that portrayed the Russian military as a decrepit, doddering army of incompetents? If so, the West is now learning a very hard lesson and now must come to grips with the fact that NATO’s delusional calculation that Ukraine could shatter the Russian military is a complete bust.

Ukraine is running out of options in its counteroffensive against Russian forces, as Kiev’s time-window to gain advances is closing, the Washington Post has reported. In an article on Sunday, the U.S. daily has claimed that Ukraine’s counteroffensive, which was launched in early June and was initially expected to see Kiev taking back significant territory, currently “shows signs of stalling.” “Kiev’s advances remain isolated to a handful of villages, Russian troops are pushing forward in the north and a plan to train Ukrainian pilots on U.S.-made F-16s is delayed,” wrote the U.S. newspaper. Ukrainian and Western officials might be calling for patience but “the window of time for Ukraine to conduct offensive is limited” because of the “inhospitable weather” in the region in autumn and winter, wrote the article.

And here is the thing--there are neither "options" nor any "windows" left for 404. In fact, they never existed and the only thing which mattered and still matters is how Russia would prosecute the war strategically. That is why Ukie trolls and Western media continued to push this BS about "stunning successes" of VSU around Kharkov in 2022. Read my lips--not on a single occasion did VSU outfought Russian Army and forced it to retreat--each time Russian forces withdrew from any locality (Kharkov and Kherson) it was a strategic decision. Only after that did the VSU move in "liberated" localities. This was presented by illiterate journos and equally militarily illiterate majority of Western military "analysts" as "victories" for VSU, while in reality a completely different strategic  and operational logic guided SMO from the inception. 

We see the results of this logic today. Against massive ramping up of military production by Russia it becomes perfectly clear that from the start it was about conditioning NATO, not 404, for what is coming now and is shaping to be, quoting Clausewitz, compelling the West to do Russia's will. Keep in mind that there is also Syria, there is also Taiwan and other hot spots along the front lines of unprecedented conflict between renegade West and classic civilization spearheaded by Russia. Meanwhile, I remain convinced that Pentagon top brass should start learning REAL operations and REAL military history, not Hollywood BS they study in US military educational institutions and that will help them understand the gravity of their historic miscalculation. Mind you, allowed for historic adjustments modern US military is not even in the same league with Napoleon and Hitler's generals, even if Erich Von Manstein helped in shaping American doctrinal views. But then again, he did lose the war to his Russian peers. 

Gotta love Hollywood output in 1990s.

No, It Didn't.

But WaPo continues to spread lame 6th grade level stratagems... pardon, I mean BS. 

The US devised a plan to commit M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine in order to provide “cover” for German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who was reluctant to send the country’s own tanks to help Kiev, the Washington Post reported on Saturday, citing more than a dozen people familiar with the matter. Relying on sources “on both sides of the Atlantic,” the report details how the White House struggled to win over Scholz who initially resisted delivering the Leopard 2 tanks to fight Russian forces in Ukraine unless the US agreed to commit the Abrams. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and the Pentagon reportedly were against sending American main battle tanks that they believed would be too difficult for Ukrainians to operate and maintain.

LOL, the US cannot devise a plan how to run anything anymore, let alone come up with at least believable excuse. There was no any "cover" for anything BUT:

1. By announcing the delivery of Abrams tanks, naturally by means of promising them in the "future" and with "sensitive" equipment removed, the US pursued the aim of deploying German Leo-2s.

2. The "promise" made on the Hodja Nasreddin's principle that either the king will die or the donkey, after Nasreddin promised to teach donkey to talk (famous tale The Guarantee). 

3. There was no "cover" also because Germany is run by cowards headed by liver sausage Scholtz, so convincing looked liked this: do or else...

4. This proverbial "else" happens anyway because Germany will send Leo-2s to 404, they all will be annihilated, together with grossly overblown German engineering reputation and that... drum roll...

5. Will allow the US to penetrate Germany's arms market with "much better" Abrams tanks, which by then have avoided being burned in industrial quantities in what remains of 404, and that will mark the end of large portion of Germany's military-industrial complex.  

So, in essence the US did provide "cover" for Germany if one views it as a cover for the coffin of a huge chunk of German industry.

But in the end, with all my deep respect to German people and for their massive accomplishments, some of which I admire myself, it has to be understood that modern economy and modern war is not what German journo hacks think they are. All those indices and wet-dreams fly out of the window once one has to face a very cruel reality in which Germany remains and will remain a large economy and military-political midget, who will never again make any trouble in Europe big time. But by far the most important thing those German media imbeciles have to understand that Russia has no plans whatsoever to "attack" any NATO country, let alone Germany whom Russia can obliterate by purely conventional means, let alone, if, God forbids, push comes to shove, by nuclear means. But the way things are happening now, Germans themselves do a hell of a job turning their country into a third world shithole and they, maybe, are already pass the point of no return. In this case they will have to try to "equal" something more of their own size.  

Remember? And it is now too late for Germans to recognize that they are nothing more than a lunch. But, they made their own choice and it is Germany's only, time to lay at the altar has come. In related news, Russia gladly receives back many Russian Germans and even German Germans--Russia loves decent and hardworking people. Remember great late Meat Loaf?
