Not All Poles ...

... hate Russia. Some even understand that they need a sacrifice. So, they fight for Russia and, as strange as it sounds, which is still true, they fight for survival of Poland.

He reviews 404 and NATO "equipment" likely decommunized by either his unit or neighbors. Meanwhile 404, including Kiev, is being pummeled by strikes, including 3M22 Zircon and other nasty "toys" finishing off power generation in 404 for good. They wanted decommunization, Russia obliges.

Today, however is a huge date. February 2, 1943 the Stalingrad Battle was officially won and it was a catastrophe for the Third Reich. But combined West doesn't know real history of that cataclysm. With the exception of people of scale such as David Glantz or Jonathan House, Eastern Front realities, especially by such scumbags like Anthony Beevor, are written and retold from German sources. Or by Hollywood with such drivel as Enemy at the Gates

Pentagon has no grasp of it. None. Casualties count on both sides combined, KIAs alone around 2,000,000. 6th and Elements of 4th Armies of Wehrmacht, as well as Italian and Romanian armies wiped off the order of battle of Axis. Axis POWs--250,000.
British reported it properly then.

Eli Did A Wonderful Job...

... on the day The Stalingrad Battle ended on February 2, 1943. By then, Soviet people knew that they will win the war.

More than 2 million casualties, more than  a million KIAs, a complete destruction of Wehrmacht's 6th and elements of 4th Armies, annihilation of Italian, Hungarian and Romanian armies. Compare this with victory over 50,000 Germans at Alamein. Just numbers and scales.

80th Anniversary of Stalingrad Battle.

Vladimir Putin today will visit Stalingrad. No, it is not a typo--this day Volgograd will officially become Stalingrad again. A number of the road signs have been changed to Stalingrad and in 2013 Volgograd's City Duma passed legislation that for 10 days a year Volgograd will be called Stalingrad (in Russian)

The scale of this battle is astonishing. To commemorate the end of Stalingrad Battle, three monuments to Stalin, Zhukov and Vasilevsky have been unveiled today.

At this moment I will not elaborate in depth on the West's "interpretation" of this battle, suffice it to say that at least half of what is known about it in the West is sheer propaganda, such as the fate of German POWs, including causes of their deaths. But then again, with "historians" such as Beevor or Applebaum, who needs Goebbels.

In related news. A group of Turkish volunteers has joined Russian battalion named after Sudoplatov (Google who this legendary man was) and is undergoing now combat training and combat cohesion, and then will join Russian Army in battle (in Russian). Surprised? I am not. Keep in mind what SMO is all about. We may also never know the number of Americans, Britons and French fighting for Russian forces. We just know that they are there.

Later, there will be Kursk, Bagration, Berlin, but it was in Stalingrad 80 years ago when it became clear that not only Axis forces will be thrown out of USSR, but that German Nazism will be crushed and Red Army will finish war in Berlin. Stalingrad changed WW II dynamics completely.
