OK, It Is Now Official...

... only morons serve at the highest positions in UK military.

The Royal Air Force is ready to “fly and fight” against Russia, the force’s new head has said, despite concerns over cuts to the military. In his first speech as Air Chief Marshal, Sir Richard Knighton told the Air Staff’s Global Air & Space Chiefs’ Conference that the UK was prepared to take on adversaries in the wake of Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine. He said: “What we need to communicate, so that our adversaries comprehend that we have credible capability, is that we’re ready to fly and fight and that they will lose.” However, it comes at a time where the state of the Armed Forces has been called into question owing to cuts across the RAF, Army and Royal Navy. Earlier this year, the United States warned that it no longer saw the UK as a top-level fighting force because of cuts made across the service.

And for once, the United States is correct. And it is not just cuts to already UK's toy armed forces, in particular its Royal Air Force with its whole 168 combat aircraft. No, it is the fact that RAF has exactly zero, zilch, nada pilots who have even a remote idea of how to fly and fight against the enemy with Russia's air force and air defense capability. Spewing BS is no substitute for capability and UK doesn't have any designed for serious and large scale air operations. On its own RAF is a second tier force which cannot fight against military superpower.

No matter how good the Eurofighter Typhoon is (I omit here F-35, which the US will forbid to be utterly discredited in real combat), but R-37 outranges its super-duper Meteor by two times. While S-400 can reach really far. But in the end, RAF combat experience, especially against dramatically dominant enemy with a wealth of air-combat experience and fully netcentric is about, hm, zero. Why those people continue to embarrass themselves and their service by spewing amateur BS is beyond me. Hey, even your ally does not take you seriously anymore. Yet, look at this guy.

He, obviously, is ready to die trying. Ah, wait, he is not even a pilot! Well, that might explain his confusion. But since it is Friday, let's recall the times when British have been genuinely funny and endearing. Where did the famous British humor and self-deprecation go? Friday, use as open thread.

Go at it...
