He has discussed concerns about the military options for escalating the conflict and raised the prospect of finding an off-ramp from the war with other key Cabinet officials, including CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice President JD Vance, two of the sources said. The top US general has recently side-barred with some of those key, like-minded Trump advisers in an effort to facilitate interagency coordination and ensure they are on the same page ahead of meetings with the president. The aim has been to make clear the limitations and pitfalls of the available military options, including those that do not involve putting US boots on the ground, the sources said. “I think it is just his way of protecting the military,” one of the sources told CNN, referring to Caine’s discussions with other top national security officials within Trump’s cabinet about the Iran war.

Mike Waltz, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, said in an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that the U.S. has “everything that it needs” for military operations against Iran, dismissing reporting regarding depleted U.S. weapons stockpiles. “I want to be crystal clear: The U.S. military, and I’ve verified this every which way, has everything that it needs to conduct this campaign as effectively as it needs to be,” he said on Sunday. “And I have to tell you, the people that are leaking this nonsense deserve to be in jail.” His comments came in response to questioning about an NBC News report that U.S. military commanders are allowing some Iranian attacks through U.S. defenses as part of an effort to preserve the Pentagon’s weapons supply, according to two senior U.S. officials.

Well, the situation is much more dire than just "preservation of supplies", it is the fact that those "supplies" are simply not good and are incapable to carry out the mission, that is to say to shoot down most of missiles and drones which are launched at the US bases. While Waltz was getting his major in International Relations from VMI, others were getting their engineering degrees in Air Defense and Stand-Off High Precision Weapons. And that's a huge difference. 

Moreover, Larry wrote an excellent expose on yet another TACO and how fuel issue can factor into this whole FUBAR for the US in Persian Gulf.

Stripping the US civilian sector of diesel and jet fuel surpluses at a time when the global supply is still severely constrained by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the Houthi blockade of Saudi oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz increases the risk of damaging the US domestic economy. Did this fact also convince President Trump that a massive attack on Iran at this time would be ill-advised? Worth considering. 

Obviously, it is never a single factor, it is always a combination with its own logic of interaction between those factors. But in the end, the US has no good options ... well, except the only thing US military knows how to do--bomb its way out of defeat and declare victory.

I am not a specialist in oil, but even I can grasp consequences, especially considering military dynamics in the Gulf where the US is stuck in the trap and cannot free itself from the inexorable march of history. The signs are clear, especially considering an appalling "effectiveness" of the US so called air (lack of) defense.

Trump has other than "urging" instruments at his disposal--he can express "grave concern", he can also say that he is angry, he even can lodge a protest--none of it matters, because the United States is Israel's slap bitch and Trump will do as told by Israel. But, obviously, Araghchi met Vladimir Putin not for the exchange of diplomatic pleasantries but to discuss mechanism of fixing the political results of a now obvious military defeat of the US and Israel. It is always a critical phase of any war. And when even this moron states obvious: 

Iran "humiliates" the United States, which does not know how to get out of the war. This was stated by German Chancellor Fradrich Merz, n-tv reports. "The Americans, obviously, do not have a strategy. At the moment, I don't see what strategic exit path the Americans will take, especially since the Iranians are obviously negotiating very skillfully — or very skillfully not doing them," he said. According to the head of the German government, the Americans are being subjected to "humiliation by the Iranian state leadership, primarily by these so-called Revolutionary Guards."

One has to inevitably arrive to the conclusion that the US simply ran out of military options because grand and military strategies are all about resources which the US doesn't have. NYT today declared Trump a hostage to Iran. One of a very few times when I agree with this tabloid.

It streamlines reciprocal logistical support (fuel, food, spare parts) during port calls, joint exercises, and training, enhancing maritime operations. COMCASA enables the US to share secure, specialized communication equipment, facilitating better operational coordination and interoperability. It directly enables Indian forces to use US-made high-tech systems securely. Both are part of four foundational agreements (including GSOMIA and BECA) designed to boost defense cooperation, enhance mutual trust, and facilitate secure, real-time information sharing. However, the RELOS pact signed with Moscow is different from the agreements New Delhi has with Washington because it allows the permanent stationing of troops, aircraft, ships, etc. which is not the case in any other agreement.

The agreement is crucial for India, as it supports maintaining the 60 to 70% of India’s military inventory that is Russian-origin, including Submarines, Su-30MKIs, and S-400 systems. RELOS enhances the operational reach and endurance of the Indian Navy and Air Force, especially for Russian-origin platforms, and improves logistical readiness for distant operations.

Of course, everyone saw the "deliveries" (delayed by years) and "performance" (shocking for many) of the US hardware. India wants both S-500 and SU-57, especially against the background of Algeria already flying their export versions. And then there is always Pakistan and China, and now the US, towering behind it. For India it is always a geopolitical ballet, especially when it comes down to national pride and still a long way before India can call herself a genuine superpower. But there is absolutely no doubt that India's future lies with newly reshaped Eurasia.
