... these are general principles of Search Theory and ASW. One minor correction though--MAD (Magnetic Anomaly Detector) still remains largely a corroborative (not pin-point) means of detection. Main "cavalry" are sonobuoys for developing a contact and tracking a submerged sub. But the video is still decent and I decided to post it here for general educational purposes.
Always remember--the worst enemy for a sub is a Patrol/ASW aircraft. Once it sees you in real combat, chances are you are not coming back to your home base.
