Another Monster Is Afloat.

 Project 08951 Khabarovsk has been launched. 

Mr. Belousov himself attended the ceremony. This is the second carrier of Poseidons (three more are coming) and very little is known about this sub unlike it is the case with Belgorod of project 09852. Khabarovsk is smaller and is a new design, it still carries 6 Poseidons and some other things (robots, other weapons) which scare Pentagon but which are, together with sub itself, are under a complete veil of secrecy. As has been stated many times--these are all new classes of weaponry which are difficult to pigeonhole in some narrow operational-strategic concept, those are revolutionary and are behind the accelerating departure of the combined West (headed by the US) from the (largely self-proclaimed) position as the pre-eminent military power. At this stage, these technologies are beyond the grasp of the West. 

Mr. Belousov was also shown Ivan Papanin patrol ice-breaker. 

And this all is just but a small part of Russia's Arctic activities, including an ongoing massive expansion of shipyards in St. Petersburg and Severodvinsk.
