... that he can't. Bloviating about intentions and acting on them are two different things. Especially in the nation where elections have become merely a sport and a show for hoi polloi, and the mere fact of being elected anywhere is considered a pinnacle of success, hard work of governance be damned. In the end, the US we all used to know is not there (or here) anymore.
So, while points made are valid, we just need to prepare ourselves for the task of salvaging whatever remains of America's benign ideas and embrace the new world which is unfolding in a front of our eyes, and hope that very many Americans who are decent folks will find their place in this world. They will need all their goodness, convictions and luck for that--I know, I have been there.
P.S. Appointing a coward and criminal John Bolton as his National Security Adviser was a gigantic red flag with alarms going off everywhere.
