As Patrick Baab characterized Germans, nope--it is acquiescence. Most Europeans agree to the war.
They will not "wake up" because they are not sleeping. Another matter, though, is an economic dynamics and inability of Europe to develop military machine which could challenge Russia. They simply have no resources and are stuck militarily in 1990s.
Here is a demonstration of military-technological impotence of Europe--regurgitation of the same old concepts but "packaged" into a new wrapper of buzz-words and meaningless "capabilities". The National Interest--this beacon of US military incompetence salivates over this:
With its blend of stealth, firepower, and endurance, the Amiral Ronarc’h not only strengthens the French Navy but also influences global naval design trends.
The question one has to immediately ask--what is so "influential" in this design? The bow, that's it?
So, what's so "influential" in the FFG with mediocre Aster 15 or 30 AD and "strike" capability built around 8 subsonic Exocets? Seriously? By now, any technological mediocrity is hailed in NATO as an unheard of achievement, while being obsolete already at a design phase. But what do I know about all that. If that's a "new generation" then I don't know what is next. A wheel? Car and buggy? But I am positive comms and data links on this thing are good enough for browsing internet and posting on the Facebook. Ah, yes, I forgot--they cannot see shit without US recon and targeting satellite constellation, but no worries, I am sure Euros will catch up, LOL))
