Rostislav stated that Yanukovich did not have any support and would be abandoned even by his own guards already in 2012.
I do understand Donbass is a small pickle. Still, tactical level always has been of interest to me. Sometimes figures of great importance arise from small places. Figures which rise cannot be calculated but those whoa re just like a force of nature. Bonaparte for example. Or call it a Mule factor from Asimov's Foundation.

I am not sure about timing of Kiev junta collapse which Ishenko predicts sometime this summer, but I do hope Donbass leaders realize they cannot have peace until at least the whole of left bank Ukraine is under their control. preferably with Kiev.Serge Kriegernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7699238654982283121.post-51316110531590815072015-04-11T10:15:52.477-07:002015-04-11T10:15:52.477-07:00Generally, you are correct. He is one of very, and I mean very, few who have a grasp of the situation.
http://actualcomment.ru/yurodstvo-imperskoy-avtarkii.htmlsmoothieX12 .http://smoothiex12.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7699238654982283121.post-86266966527298584742015-04-10T12:45:43.916-07:002015-04-10T12:45:43.916-07:00BTW, Smoothy, I am reading elsewhere something is ...BTW, Smoothy, I am reading elsewhere something is on in Donbass again.
Allowing defeated enemy to rally. I have not finished military school which was my plan, so I am ignorant in all those things you often mention. But I do remember reading that Caesar was famous for never allowing defeated enemy to rally which served him well and as far as I see no great captain allowed it. It looks like there is no other way to peace for Donbass rather than via Kiev.Serge Kriegernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7699238654982283121.post-38609022001863413172015-04-10T12:41:58.252-07:002015-04-10T12:41:58.252-07:00They started attempts to rewrite the history right...They started attempts to rewrite the history right away after the blood has not dried yet. In the end they will fool no one as those who doe snot learn or no real history will repeat it again. Statistically the West invades after Russia every 100 years or so.
Great Patriotic war imho has parallels in ancient history. Punic wars fought by Romans percentage of population losses wise Romans lost similar percentage to what USSR lost. However, unlike Russia which unfortunately did not use the victory to seal permanent gains and security that Russia clearly deserves, Rome did use the victory in Punic wars to create permanent facts on the ground.
I still cannot comprehend how naive and gullible Soviet leadership of the later years could be to allow what was bought with great effort and blood to slip away and to whomÉ To those who sat through the whole affair behind their sheets of water and came late only to deny USSR fruit of victory.
Russia was thrown back 400 year security wise.Serge Kriegernoreply@blogger.com
